Peak finished our floors yesterday and we are totally blown away! They refinished our entire first floor in three days, and fixed a spot where we had lost a piece of wood. The 110-year old floors look brand new and there's a whole new energy in our house. Peak was responsive, respectful, and friendly the whole time they were here. They cleaned up after themselves and clearly cared a lot about our project. We had a scheduling mixup regarding when work would begin, but Ron worked hard to fix the schedule and fit our project in. I will absolutely use this company again in the future if I have more floor projects. One note: the team that completed our project said they're based out of Castle Shannon and I see this company says they're in Leechburg. Not sure if it's a different team/company. read more

I am elated with the job done by Ron's crew of Gary and Sean. They turned my scratched and water damaged oak floors into beautiful floors. Previous owners had pieced in some new wood pieces by vents when the ductwork was changed. Gary patiently worked to make certain the newer wood matched the original wood. Jason and the rest of the team sanded the stairs perfectly down to the bare wood, replaced all of our risers, replaced broken treads, repaired a sunken step, recut and replaced a missing piece of wood--and stained everything beautifully to match our entryway. I hired Peak to refinish some existing floors and install new wood into one room. When I met with Ron I stressed our concern about the dogs scratching the floor and what could we do to mitigate this. I paid to have them remove and reinstall my baseboards for the new flooring so I would not have to install 1/4 round. The end results are I will have to reinstall baseboards as they are a mess. I also have to repaint all baseboards as there is stain on just about every piece of baseboard. I had to clean up the mess they left on my deck and trash in garage. Luckily we are planning to replace some carpet as they also got stain on the carpet. And will need to touch up walls, as there is marks and stain on walls also. The floors do look good. The biggest issue I have is they used a less durable finish (Bona Mega) instead of the more durable Bona Traffc HD. There was a line in the contract about adding a 3rd coat of Traffic HD for $1.00 sqft, which lead me to believe they were installing it on the first two coats, but Ron explained I was mistaken as they use Mega on 8 ut of 10 jobs. So just be aware there maybe a lot of work after they complete a job for you to do, factor this into your budget. I have contacted Ron about these concerns and he said he would stop by....been 6 days and I am done. Buyer beware. read more

so we live in an old house with old floors old wood floors ok we knew there was something under the carpet...well one day my son said the time has come and he ripped up the wall to wall OHH ahh wow what a disaster holes and I mean holes stains of every sort including water and of course old pet stains (ask me how I know later) oh gosh this was ugly I called around I had one company come and say ugh put down that new laminate stuff and never worry again OH I couldn't do that right? another company came with a reasonable price but didn't stand out Then Ron from Peak came...yeah don't fault me on my new source of finding companies but he is on that picture social media site with pictures. I've seen his work and now here he is in person. He measures he discusses the holes the stains and other damage tells me he will get back to me in a few days with an estimate. yay here is a company that follows through complete professional estimate of exactly what his company will do the total cost and how about this he asks for no $ upfront. I am getting very excited believing this wood mess might actually redeem itself right on time Ron's team showed up with their big machines and I am talking a team of true craftsman Sean, Pat, and Wes WOW these guys worked non stop for 3 days sanding fixing; sanding fixing till the day came to pick the color how sweet is this ...three big patches of beautiful color I had to decide upon. Ron was there everyday (easily accessible by text if I had a question) and the final coat was put on by him Christmas Eve day go figure this man is dedicated. my floors are Stunning with a capital S he brought them back to life The price was very reasonable considering how long and how hard these guys worked. I found Perla floors online and they were very quick to get back in touch with a quote. Due to COVID they are doing the quotes via text and pictures. This was easy and the quote seemed fair. We had two rooms with hardwood floors that had paint splatters that needed to be resurfaced. The job seemed fairly straight forward but a few scheduling conflicts came up and our scheduled work had to be slightly delayed. We finally got the team out and the job was bigger than they thought due to the paint on the floors. It was going to cost double and take an entire day. This was a bit frustrating because we had to have all of our furniture moved off the floors. I wish they had looked at the floors before starting the job so this could have been prevented. The two owners don't seem to communicate that well and we were getting different answers about things from each of them. Two days later the team came back out and were not wearing masks in the house. The job took all day and the floors with staining look good. They also helped us take apart our kitchen table to be moved while the floors were drying which was much appreciated. Once we got through all of the scheduling issues the job was done correctly worth the investment. The smell was fairly minimal too which was a relief. read more

Initially I had Peak Floors do one room. The job was challenging given the condition of the floor. The end result was beautiful. After that I had Peak Floors re-do the rest of the house, including installation of new stair treads and landings. The very best part though, was the amazing new floor installed in my master bedroom. It is a custom, heated, herringbone pattern floor. It is truly breathtaking. I never knew hardwood floors could be heated and Ron made it happen. The team, headed by Patrick, was professional, friendly and respectful. It is challenging to have work done in a house while you are living in it, but these guys were like family by the time the project was finished! We had our kitchen and main entry floors refinished. The job Peak floors did was shockingly bad. They seemed very professional when coming out to give an estimate. The work took twice as long as they said it would and was sloppy. They got stain on 3 carpets that bordered the kitchen and hallway areas! There was stain pooled into areas around the baseboards. AND they used the wrong color stain on our floors! If we weren't moving, we would have had them redo the entire job. read more

Worst decision ever. That old saying "If you want something done right, you better do it yourself" could not be more true. We hired Peak Flooring to come out and refinish the hardwood floors in our house. We chose them because of their rating and felt like they would be able to give us what we wanted. What should have been a three day job took over two and a half weeks and we still have problems. When we first arrived home to look at the floors, the color is not what we wanted, we found footprints in the finish & scratches in our floor boards. We contacted them, explained the situation and it took them 4 more days before they sent someone out to correct. When they did try and correct it, the stains didn't match so they had to re-do the entire level. When we arrived home for the second time, we still found footprints in the finish, scratches on the floor boards, stain on our walls, and on all of the air vents. They left the painters tape up, it was like they couldn't be bothered to clean up after themselves. This is someones home we are talking about. It felt as if they didn't care that we were out of our house for over two weeks and honestly it felt like they rushed the job and didn't pay attention to detail. Thank god we had family to stay with, otherwise I can't imagine what our hotel and kennel bills would have cost on top of the payment for the floors. I do not recommend this company if you want a professional experience. read more
