I had actually given him 4 stars because of the quality of the work, deducting one because of the hose length situation. I don't know on which planet a 4 star review is a bad one, but yeah. He was *really* upset, claiming that nothing I had said about the hose situation ever happened because the bulk of his business was actually apartment buildings and hotels, so *of course* he had had plenty of hose. Close to the worst carpet cleaning job we have experienced. The only reason it was not the worst is that the people doing the work were very pleasant. They were scheduled between 9:00-10:00 contacted us at 10:30 they were on their way and arrived after 11:00. The only piece of furniture they moved was the sofa. Did not even move the two straight back chairs or end table but cleaned around them. After cleaning they did nothing to protect the wooden legs on any furniture from the liquid. Told us the carpet would dry in 6-8 hours but 12 hours later it was still too wet to walk on. read more

4/28/2021. BUYER BEWARE! We hired Eco King to wash the outside of my house and do the carpets on the same day. We ended up with a faded bleach spot on our carpet. When I left a voice mail asking to file a claim for repair of these damages. I did not get a call back and a week later got a lawyer letter threatening me with a law suit if I choose to pursue repair for my damaged carpet. I was shocked at this course of action as a response to my telephone voice mail? I do not recommend any business that sends lawyer letters as a way to get out accountability for their actions. I really debated on the type of review I wanted to leave. Let me start by saying that the work they did looks great. They lost 2 stars for me because of the service. We were having our carpets and tile cleaned for a move out. So, we were not currently living there. So I got a call at 8am that they were on their way. I packed up the kids, drove 30 minutes, and when I got there the guy realized he was supposed to do a different job first. So he left and said he'd be back in a couple hours. I gave him the garage code to get back in. A few hours later he shows up. After a bit, I get a phone call saying that he needs to go do another job and he will come back when he's done to finish. Well, he came back later than expected and said he'd be done between 7-9pm. At 1:00am, the work is done. I couldn't drive over there at that point so I had to let him lock up which I didn't like doing. UPDATE: John at Eco king was very apologetic for the service this time. He did give us a generous partial refund for the work they did. We have used them in the past and not had any issues. We will definitely use them again next time we need anything done. read more

I contacted Eco King via Yelp for an estimate on cleaning the carpets in my home. I needed it to be affordable and I only had one day open on the calendar that it could happen. John responded via phone within minutes with a great quote, so I hired him right then and there. My carpets had not been cleaned in over 6 years - 6 years of children's parties, dog and cat living together not really in harmony, and 6 years of wear. I was always embarrassed to have people over to our house b/c the carpets were so gross! I was sure they could be cleaned but I doubted they could look really good after all that damage. I felt my carpets could use a good cleaning after the summer dust storms. I had been keeping my eye out for some sort of deal. I almost went with another local company who was offering a $29 deal, before I found Eco King on Amazon local. Eco King's deal was $39 for carpet cleaning for 3 rooms. I am very eco-friendly, so it is worth it to me to pay extra to avoid harmful chemicals. But I must admit, I was curious if my carpets would actually be clean after these "natural enzymes" did their thing. John the owner, was very flexible with my zany schedule. When he arrived, he explained his process and how the pads on his machine worked. Although the cleaning was not dramatic bc I keep a clean home ;), I could immediately see that my carpets were indeed whiter! But the biggest difference was the absence of the musty smell I had prior to the cleaning. I was the most concerned about this, because I had a toilet leak a few weeks prior (yuck!). SUCCESS! It smelled fresh and clean when I walked in from outside! John definitely did a better job than the carpet cleaning service I had previously used. The ottoman had a horrific cat puke stain (wet food salmon, sat for 7-8 hours before we noticed) that we tried to remove, but only made things worse. Well, to start off I stumbled upon this business when I bought a voucher deal for it. This was a great investment, let me tell you. The owner himself came to clean my carpets. When they say low chemical and fast drying they really mean it. He cleaned about 1500 square feet in a matter of 30 minutes. Could have been shorter. He took out pet stains (we had a new puppy which is why we called them!), and all sorts of tracking from shoes, etc. Because he mainly services north phoenix, glendale etc, and my house was in Gilbert, he charged an extra $10 fee. When we asked to clean more rooms (less than 30 sq feet) he charged another $20. I understood he drove a long way, but he made sure to let me know he doesn't make money off the groupon. It made me feel kinda bad so I just obliged and just wanted it all done in one go anyway. All in all with the extra charges I may as well have paid full price, which is fine, because they do a good job. What made me like this guy best was he saw a small spot and got on his hands and knees with a towel and tried to take it out. NOW thats what I call service! read more
