The day before, we hiked Mount Tallac Trail, a strenuous 10-mile round-trip hike through Desolation Wilderness with about 3,200 feet of elevation gain. We started around 10:30 a.m. and it took us about six hours to complete. Between the heat, elevation, and intensity of the hike, we were both completely exhausted, dehydrated, cramping, and definitely in need of some serious recovery. For me, hydration is especially important. I was released from the hospital only three months ago after a six-month stay , multiple surgeries and an ileostomy , and I currently receive infusions every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday back home. Since I needed an infusion that Friday while we were in Tahoe, finding this place was perfect timing. Maggie recommended the Myers Cocktail, which ended up being exactly what we needed after such a strenuous hike. She was incredibly informative, kind, professional, and gentle. I am a notoriously difficult stick, especially when dehydrated, but Maggie got my line in with absolutely no pain and made the entire experience comfortable and easy.
