We entered the emergency room and were given papers to fill out. After that they then gave us more papers with similar questions, so my s/o filled out what was important (as hes hunched over in pain) and gave the sheet back with spaces like religion unanswered. The women at the desk asked to finish it and after telling her (not yelling or being rude but upset bc hes been in pain), he was throwing up blood and really just needs a doctor now the "security" guy proceeded to rush from his station and yell, practically scream, right in our faces. Truly dont know why he was yelling, he was so mad his face was red and he couldn't even speak properly. I've never seen a security guard act this way and especially not with someone who just said they were throwing up blood. In a hospital you need compassion and understanding and this guy lacked both of these things. I called the cops immediately after he pushed himself closer and kept screaming at myself and my sick partner. We were advised by dispatch to distance ourselves until police arrived but instead now 4 security guys stood over us, cornered in the waiting room and blocking the only exit; and only moved when the sheriff's truck pulled up outside. Then explaining to the cops our side of the story, the 2/4 men proceeded to insert themselves until the police told them to back off. After our 3+ hour visit we asked for his name to make a proper complaint and were only given a card by the manager with a number to call and make a complaint with 'patient advocate'. If you are at common spirit or in the emergency department keep your eye out for the bald man with glasses who doesn't seem fully right in the head, he may just scream at you for being in pain. The nurses and doctor were very nice but security needs better hires and more training apparently. I was only going to make a proper complaint but since I cannot do that without the name of who I had a unpleasant interaction with im leaving this review on the chance nothing happens and he continues to act a fool. This is also posted on Google to cover my bases

I thought women's healthcare was bad when I was younger but this is insane! Perhaps CommonSpirit St Anthony Summit Hospital should review this doctors bedside manner as well as their medical practices. This type of treatment is why women don't go to the hospital! It is unacceptable. Also tried calling their patient relations office (they usually list the number in answer to the bad reviews) only to get their voicemail, which again, just shows it's not about advocating for the patient. Get a human to answer the phone.

As I walked into the hospital cafeteria, I couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension about what lay ahead. The sterile smell of the place reminded me of the operating room, and I couldn't help but wonder if the food was going to be as lifeless as the surroundings. I made my way over to the hot food section and peered through the glass at the array of options. The green beans looked like they had been sitting out for hours, the mashed potatoes were dry and clumpy, and the meatloaf looked like it had been steaming for days. I reluctantly chose a chicken sandwich and a bag of chips and made my way over to the cashier. As I took my first bite, my suspicions were confirmed - it was bland and tasteless, and I was left wondering how such a crucial aspect of patient care could be so overlooked. Despite the lackluster food, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the doctors and nurses who work tirelessly to care for their patients. As I finished my meal, I made a mental note to bring some snacks from home the next time I visited the hospital.

The nurses Lindsay and Tiffany (and an great EMT whose name I forget) cleaned up my wounds really well and made sure I was all good before I left. The registration process was easy and amazingly I was in/out in about an hour. Sucks to get hurt but helps to have such great care!

I really had a tricky thing going on with my arm for tendonitis, or that is what i believe it is. Only because it flares at night still constantly. My battle wasnt the ER. It was having to jump through hoops with insurance. And never getting an MRI because of insurance. Even though i still believe the imaging is still desperately needed. ER did all they could for me. X rays were taken. But no, mri so sadly thanks to insurances being slow. I had to wait in pain for months after the ER. Im still in pain nightly as im writing this even just to say it isnt the Doctors. Its not your nurses. Sometimes insurance keeps people from having don what is urgently needed. Im 3 months in and still waiting to find an MRI imaging in network!!! I also have a very physical job. I do sports recovery work im stretching people constanly and doing dt and soft tissue work manually. Everytime i would work it would flare up more depending on my work load that day. I had to back off of it.( Left arm) bicep. Was referred to Steadman. Doc said elbow sprain reframe from hard overuse til inflammation goes down. Makes sense. Unless you have a career and have to work to pay bills. But they still believe i may have torn it. Slightly. Which means it could possibly rupture if i overload that tendon. Ive been dealing with it constantly. Im just really annoyed with insurance companies. The hospital was great though and steadman clinic. So dont give up hope. Stay on it. Call your insurance. Thats insurances Job! Not the Doc's. So if they are able to help you at all. Just be thankful.

The lady got me check in and out waited for about 10 mins before being called to the back in triage. The nurse took my vitals, weight etc and then bought me out to a room. They are swamped so looks like a wait. It took 45 mins for Dr. Phoebe to come in and talk with us. She let me know she was going on my discharge from last time and consulting with the specialist to she how to proceed. She was very nice and patiently through. She ordered some blood work so would could compare with. I had to do an X-ray and she gave me some tordo al and morphine for the pain. Now we are just waiting on the results to see what's going on with my hip area. We thinking inflammation. Si we gonna try some meds and continue with the antibiotics and follow up with ortho and infectious disease. So I'm being discharged to go home if anything changes I can always come back.
