If you're overbooked, why are kiosks still allowing people to sign in? If you're at capacity, why not communicate that upfront? It's basic customer service and public health. Having sick or fasting patients waiting this long without clear direction is not just inefficient -- it's inhumane. Someone needs to step up and actually supervise this location. When I arrived, the check-in system estimated a 30-minute to 1-hour wait, which seemed reasonable. However, after well over an hour, my name remained "next in line" on the screen with no updates or explanation. When I finally approached one of the two staff members working, I was met with rudeness and indifference. I was told, "We really don't know, there are only two of us here." When I asked if they could at least confirm whether my insurance was accepted--since I'm new to this lab--they couldn't even check. This is not acceptable patient care. There was no communication, no sense of responsibility, and no basic customer service. If a lab cannot manage patient flow, provide information, or treat people respectfully, it should not be operating.
