If I could give this lab a rating below zero, I absolutely would. The level of disorganization and unprofessionalism I experienced was unacceptable. When I arrived, the check-in system estimated a 30-minute to 1-hour wait, which seemed reasonable. However, after well over an hour, my name remained "next in line" on the screen with no updates or explanation. When I finally approached one of the two staff members working, I was met with rudeness and indifference. I was told, "We really don't know, there are only two of us here." When I asked if they could at least confirm whether my insurance was accepted--since I'm new to this lab--they couldn't even check. This is not acceptable patient care. There was no communication, no sense of responsibility, and no basic customer service. If a lab cannot manage patient flow, provide information, or treat people respectfully, it should not be operating. Patients deserve better than this I would avoid this lab at all cost -even if you get an appointment. We left and no service done. 10/17 read more

I have been to this location countless times due to my pregnancy. Every single time I have been treated with respect and kindness until today. Unfortunately from the start Suleyma made the experience very uncomfortable. As soon as I walked in the door she rudely stopped my husband and told him he needed to wait outside & was not allowed back to support me because "WERE GETTING SICK", complaining saying everyone was getting them sick. Neither my husband and I were sick & would have gladly wore a mask (she was not wearing one) if that would have made her more comfortable. When I asked her if this was a new policy since I've been here a dozen times in the last 9 months and every single time I've been allowed a support person, she was very rude & dismissive. I understand that policies change but there was no postings & I had simply asked a question. She said she would be speaking with her supervisor since everyone was getting them sick and the only patients that were now allowed a support person were wheelchair bounds patients. It is my right to ask for a support person and to feel comfortable during a routine visit & if I'm denied that I'm allowed to ask why. Regardless of the policy, someone working in healthcare should be able to provide services with kindness and respect. I hope she does not treat all her patients this way as not everyone can speak up for themselves. I would recommend this location but not Suleyma. First visit here-I am unimpressed. I didn't make an appointment, when I walked in, checked in, there was one person waiting. No personnel at desk. I am on stand-by. The tv shows your status. I have been here an hour, and they have served four people, all appointments, even before their appointment time. They took no other patients between appointments. On Feb 6. I walked into this office with my wife for similar blood test. We called in. The guy took me asked what FLP is. He asked me to call my Dr and find out what is it. Within one minutes I found out and called on him, they said he went on go his break. My wife was out within minutes did the same FLP test with no questions. The Tec came from break and start taking others before me when I told him. I have been waiting for him . He took offense and said to go back out and be rude and wait. I told him to cancel and left. I had an appointment for labs. There was nobody at the front desk when I arrived - or the entire time I was there - but I had received a text and was easily able to check in using the link provided. One of the orders hadn't been sent over and during the 45 minutes I was waiting for them to be sent over, I witnessed two things that were very upsetting, Initially, the only other patients in the waiting room were one woman there alone and an elderly woman using a walker who was there with a companion (daughter?). The single woman had a coughing fit so left the room. A couple minutes later a phlebotomist came out and called a name, receiving no answer. The companion of the elderly woman and I both pointed toward the door and advised that she'd had a coughing fit and gone outside; the phlebotomist returned to the back. When the woman returned she went straight to the counter and waited at least 5 minutes. A few minutes later a brunette female (phlebotomist?) with glasses came out to call another patient and the woman went up to explain she had gone to her car for water and asked if she'd been called while she was out. The phlebotomist said, "No," and walked away. Unnecessary and rude!! Why would she not say, "I didn't, but someone else may have, let me check," or "I'm not sure, but please have a seat and they'll call you again"? I advised the woman that someone else had called her while she was out. A little while later I heard a banging against the glass door leading to the back and looked up to see the elderly woman trying to get back out into the waiting room with her walker but unable to open the door because it swings inward. Before I could register what was happening and respond, her companion got up and opened the door, exclaiming to the elderly woman that she was so sorry nobody had helped her get out. We looked at each other as if to say "What the heck?!" and the companion said to me, "Some day they'll be old and need help and I hope they remember this." While my personal experience was fine and the phlebotomist did a very good job, I was EXTREMELY disappointed by the lack of basic customer service, empathy, and care shown to these other patients. Very few people who are having blood drawn are there for fun and some are going through traumatic medical events. It would only have taken a few extra minutes - maybe seconds - for the staff to treat these patients kindly and with respect. I hope this review is seen, some training done, and improvements made. But quite frankly, I'm losing respect and faith in the medical community. read more

Four stars for being pricked with a needle and having blood drawn from your arm?! Arriving at a suitable rating was a tough decision. And, I suppose only vampires would find a phlebotomy center and laboratory to possibly be five-star worthy! But, fair is fair. And, therefore, I believe business establishments deserve to be rated based on what services they provide, and how well they provide them, compared with providers of similar services, whatever those services may be. In other words, apples should be compared with apples--not with oranges or gourmet restaurants. And, on the basis of what their employees do, this Quest Diagnostics outpost is a fine outfit. I have endured blood draws at other facilities that were far less pleasant, including an inability to find a serviceable vein, multiple botched needle insertions, bruising, fainting, and resultant temporary nerve damage Here the desk attendants upon sign in were friendly, and service was quick and efficient. I was sent to the back to have blood drawn within five minutes after I arrived. There was one needle poke accompanied by just a glimmer of initial pain, and a little probing under the skin to get the blood to flow, but it was all over in a few minutes. Then, with the injection spot covered by a fluffy cotton ball that was firmly secured by tape, I was back on my way to partake in far more pleasant activities, like eating out and most anything else other than having one's blood drawn. read more

Sign in process was super quick and easy. I waited no more than 10 mins from when I sat down to when I was called back. The phlebotomist made sure all my insurance and everything was correct and verified the order from my physician before she drew the blood. Shout out to Letty who is an absolute professional, she was there with while the new phlebotomist was drawing my blood and overall made me feel very comfortable. 10/10 would recommend. Also 10/10 would recommend you drink a lot of water to make their jobs drawing your blood a lot more easier. read more

I usually have good luck at Quest Diagnostics in Redlands, but today was really bad. I had a 7:30 appointment and arrived at 7:25. If you have an appointment, the lab should get you in within 5-10 minutes of that appointment BEFORE walk-ins. I did not get called until 1/2 hour after my appointment time. Then it took the tech over 15 minutes to enter my info in the computer. She was very slow. After several more minutes finding a vein for my blood work, I finally got done at 8am. This is not OK when I had an appointment. Hope things are better next time I need to go here. read more

I am an expecting mother that came into get her HCG read to make sure my baby was progressing properly. I came in on 8/20/21 in complete tears... to the ladies that worked to figure out my insurance thank you. But to the lady that took my blood THANK YOU FROM MY HEART! Took my daughter to have blood work done today. This was my first time at this draw station. Very clean and organized environment. I didn't have an appt, so it was a walk in basis and only waited for 7 minutes. Front desk was very helpful and friendly and told me I just missed the morning rush! Thank God! My daughter was a very nervous wreck and always cries with injections and blood draws. I didn't see a tear come out of her. On June 16, 2022 at 8:30am, I entered quest Diagnostics on Terracina Blvd. in Redlands for my scheduled appointment. I was refused my standing blood test because they told me my standing order had been expired. I immediately called my doctor's office who verified that the order was in place. They again refused to draw my life threatening necessary blood test. Each time I have gone to this facility there is a problem and they refuse to draw my standing monthly INR test. Some excuses have been, "You didn't pay for your last visit" when I showed them the confirmation number that it had been paid, they told me they couldn't't verify it in their system so they WOULD NOT DRAW MY BLOOD once again. this facility is, not at all helpful, rude, computer illiterate, and most of all the worst patient service I have ever experienced. I just left Redlands quest after a half hour drive with out being attended. We made a 9 an apt over the phone. We got here and Vilda claims there was no apt and ask everyone in the waiting to check in on kiosk. After we did someone asked about the walk in walk. She aggressively replied saying there are only two workers and we might not be seen. I told her the kiosk took us as walk ins. She RUDLY responds that walk in will be seen when she has time and that is if there is time. I pointed out the WE WELCOME WALK IN signs and the kiosk shouldn't accept walk ins when there is "NO time". The only 5 people who were there all left because were were "walk in" patients although a few of us actually made appointments. I asked who I can speak to regarding the issue and motioned with her hands and basically shouted management as she walked away in the back office. I usually go to Yucaipa or banning quest and have never had an issue. Their staff is wonderful and very helpful. I used the Redlands quest because it was on my way to work and it was the biggest mistake. The staff member at this location was very unprofessional and unwilling to assist me with reading a lab code that I was unable to see when I was trying to assist her to figure out what labs work needed to be drawn. She just put her arms up and said I don't know what to draw. No effort was made to figure it out. Needless to say my blood was not drawn. The worst part was she waved her arms at me to leave the room like she was directing traffic. I will never use this location again. It was a huge waste of time and super frustrating. read more

I always to to this site as it is next door to my doctor's office, and I've never had to wait more than 5 min or less as a walk in. The people are friendly and professional, and I've never had any issues with them. I used to go to the one on Waterman Ave in San Bernardino, but even with an appointment, it was always so crowded and would take me at least 1/2 hr to get seen and that's with an appointment. Blood test results aren't showing up in MyQuest. I used the chat feature, went though their suggested trouble shooting, submitted a request for the results, and submitted a request for help. Not only did the results now show up in the portal, the request for them stayed there for 2 days and then disappeared. There is no one answering phones at the Redlands location, and no number to call for Quest. We need the results today to bring to a doctor appointment. After reading reviews with similar issues, I called the number and the representative was very helpful and emailed me the results. Still, Quest needs to fix their portal so results can be easily accessed by patients. This is too much for elderly, sick patients to manage. read more

Worst lab experience ever! I went in today for the new method for TB screening which entails a blood draw. I was checked in and seen by the same female (no name tags). Even though I shared my uneasiness with needless, this was by far the worst lab visit ever. She asked which arm without checking out my veins. Started on my right and asked if I wanted to switch arms (of course not! That means doing it again). Then the vacuum didn't work properly so she had to do it again anyway. When she poked the left arm it was a stern jab that caused me to yelp and proceed to cry throughout the two viles (I'm needle shy but have never been brought to tears before). During this arm she asked if I wanted her to take it out (again no! That means doing it again). Even though it felt like it might be poking something else in my arm I just wanted it to be over. Over an hour later my arm still hurt and I have a bruise. If this is your job, you really should be much better at doing it. I had the same younger female in glasses that another reviewer was talking about. All I can say is RUN THE OTHER WAY. She clearly stabbed me with the needle before even looking for a vein. Then she jabs the needle in and out and wiggles it around because she can't find any vein. Now the gross part- when she couldn't complete the draw on my right arm, she took the needle out, and went to get a piece of gauze and tape. Some of her hair fell onto my arm AND SHE BANDAGED HER HAIR TO MY ARM. Super gross. Anyway, then she proceeded to jab away at my other arm. Surprisingly she actually did eventually complete the draw, but I was in tears by the end of it. Just for some perspective- I've had very friendly and competent phlebotomists, even at this location. Some have taken 12 vials of blood, poking me once and leaving no bruise and definitely no tears. Both of my arms are severely bruised today. I would ask for a different phlebotomist, or better yet, go to LabCorp next door. read more

I understand the precautions being taken due to Covid; however, completely ignoring people waiting in the hallway is unnecessary. I waited patiently for someone to let me know they would be helping me. When I final walked in the receptionist Brandon was extremely rude, he told me you weren't supposed to come in, I said I'm sorry no one was telling me anything, to which he responded there's a sign. I let him know the sign said nothing about waiting outside in fact, the sign said if you do not have any of the following symptoms please come in! He then said well whatever you're already inside, he checked my temperature, I handed him my paperwork, and he respond sit there and wait. I cannot tell you, how incompetent the people at this office are!!! I dropped off a specimen (as I was asked to do so, after many failed attempts to get the materials needed to collect the specimen). Only to get a call from one of the staff stating that after I had dropped off the specimen she had left it on the side, and when she returned to process it someone had put it away in the freezer,which compromised the specimen (she also stated that they were so busy during the time that I had dropped off the specimen, as if that excuses the error). First of all why not process the specimen when it was given to you? Why not ask who this specimen belongs to before putting it in the freezer (aren't you a lab? Aren't specimens your specialty?) Why not put it in the fridge instead of the freezer? This kind of service is simply unacceptable, I will never visit this facility again. read more
