I love it ! The staff are super helpful and friendly! Worth the price ! I would make a reservation if you have a lot of people bc it gets packed pretty fast

It's a fun unique experience and staff was super helpful. It was also pretty busy. My friend and I had a fun time figuring out our jewelry designs. We shared one mussel, and had leftover pearls-- so don't feel like you have to get your own. Kinda pricey for doing the labor of getting your own pearls and having cheap metal jewelry. But maybe it evens out for getting something customized quickly.

Interesting little side quest. Went wi th friends to make jewelry after picking your own mussels. Not super fishy smelling, shop was cute and the attendant was super helpful on pairing items together. We spent about an hour on our pearls and pieces before he set to working making them come together. Highly recommend for an evening or weekend activity as well as a hidden gem for gifts!!

Where do I start?! We had SO much fun! It was girls day out! We should have made an appointment since it was a holiday, this place was packed and had to wait for a good 45min. Anyhow, they usually run monthly specials for an amazing discount and I took advantage of it! Then I made few rings and couple of bracelets. It all came out beautiful, thanks to the very helpful staff!

This was such a unique experience! One mussel was enough to create jewelry for 2 friends and me. The prices can definitely add up and you might end up waiting a bit for your pieces to get made but this was a really fun and different type of girls day adventure. You can really get creative with your choices and customize to your liking. It made me a bit nervous that the mussel selection is compared to a lottery but luckily we had some left over.

I love supporting small businesses and I love making jewelry so this was the perfect Galentine's date. We had so much fun opening oysters and harvesting pearls. I loved all the custom jewelry that I picked out. It is a pretty dime so beware. It is also a long process, do expect some wait time (cleaning your pearls) and then coming back to pick up your jewelries. The space is very tight. I would recommend making reservations through their Instagram site. There could be heavy foot traffic or big parties, which can delay your pick up time. Other than that, we had a good time. If you have questions, I encourage you to ask the staff. Most of them are around to help you through the process.

If your looking for a nice place to go and be creative with jewelry, Come to this place. The staff was great. Everyone was very nice, helpful, kind and patient. They understood what I wanted and gave great instructions on what to do,and gave ideas on how to make my anklet. The price is right , I say go when they have a deal because that helped me too. I spent 120 on my anklet. I love my anklet. The options are nice. Very nice experience I will be back.

My friend and i came here at Sunday 11am with a reservation and enjoyed making our pearl jewelry. We both picked out the classic clam. We peeked at the colors of the pearls in the clam as I wanted pink and purple pearls and my friend wanted white. We got what we wanted and we followed the instructions to clean our pearls. Remember to take off all of the skin of the pearl to clean it. Then, we selected our jewelry pieces. I chose a necklace chain and a bracelet to use as inspiration. Choosing how to order the pearls took the longest time. I was lucky to have 31 pearls to choose from from my mollusk. Some of the necklace chains can only hold charms with the pearl on it and you can only have 10 pearls on the chain otherwise the necklace might break. The people working there are helpful with hearing your ideas and organizing your pearls for you to make your jewelry look more cohesive since the pearls come in different shapes and sizes. We took longer than expected to select our jewelry and it does take the workers a little bit of time to make the jewelry as well. Plan ahead as it took us about 2.5-3 hours total for the activity. The prices are a little expensive, but overall, I really enjoyed this activity and would recommend it if you're looking for a unique experience and jewelry.

Enjoyed the overall experience, but staff could have been more helpful/clear. Definitely a great idea for a date (with a partner or with friends), but be prepared to ask tons of clarifying questions and expect to wait if the place is busy. Made reservations a few days ahead via Instagram with ease. Upon arrival, we were greeted and asked to sit down. They briefly introduced us to the mussels and pricing (but not pricing of the jewelry/the other processes). They are having a November deal right now, during which all mussels are $59. After shucking our mussels and isolating our pearls, it took a while for staff to return to instruct us with the next steps. They have instructions printed out on paper but it wasn't clear. Different staff members told us slightly different things. When we were in the process of designing our jewelry - staff either answered our questions partially (sometimes with one word) then walked away, avoided eye contact, or took a long time for us to flag them down. Eventually was able to get our questions answered and jewelry set, but other parties had to wait a long time for staff to process their pearls and put together their pieces. To clarify, the prices of the jewelry are labeled individually (necklaces $40-$60, bracelets often $40, etc). You can place up to 3 pearls per jewelry pieces for free. Not sure if the dangles/hanging attachments are free because they were labeled. You also do not have to use all your pearls!!! You can come back with them to make other jewelry at another time if you wish. There is a 5% discount if you pay with cash. Your jewelry pieces are dependent on the pearls that you find. I only used 3 pearls out of 20 to make 2 necklaces, and they turned out really cute! They have complimentary boxes for your finished products, and have a wall of displays if you need ideas. Again, despite the logistical hiccups, it was an enjoyable experience for me!

Had such a fun time making jewelry with my friends. It's exciting to open up the mussels and surprisingly there was no fishy smell. There are lots of jewelry around to get inspiration for crafting your own pieces. The staff are very kind and polite too. A very unique experience for a girls' day; it's wonderful to have matching pieces with my friends.

Such a fun girls day we had in the city yesterday . This place was great , Ethan I believe is his name was very patient and helpful in making our experience a fun time. The jewelry came out great, and we all loved making them. Would definitely suggest making a reservation because it can get pretty busy.

A fun and unique date spot! We picked 2 classic mussels which was $80 each. And we both got a good amount of pearls in each one. The entire process was super fun! You personally shuck the mussel and clean the pearls with the tools they provide for you! And the staff is super helpful with instructions and giving you tips on how to do everything! After your pearls are cleaned, you get to choose what type of jewelry you want with the pearls. It's kind of pricy (the necklace was $40 and the ring was $30) and the staff will help make these pieces for you! They also have a bunch of inspo for you on display if you don't know what you want to make!

I stopped by about half an hour before closing to ask about getting a recently bought pouch resized to fit my laptop. Even though I truly felt like a chicken walking around without it's head, the owners treated me with kindness and respect. While I felt sheepish about my request and my lack of of familiarity with all things sewing, their warmth helped me feel at ease. The shop itself is small, as is such with most mom and pop establishments, with Hossein working his magic in the back, buttons a galore in the front, fabrics in the middle, and ribbons scattered throughout. I could spend some time inspecting and exploring each and every texture and color available but didn't want to dilly dally too much before they were to go home. Overall, they were able to take on my sewing request--it was reasonably priced (I think!) and I helped myself to some paracord for a little craft project of mine. Very comfortable space with some people who are experts in their field and provide a very calm and reassuring energy. I'll be back to pickup some bits and bobs here and there rather than taking my business to a big retail store like I usually do. An east village gem!

The store layout here is a big congested and feel the checkout area and online order area could be better designed. I placed an order online for store pickup and it was ready in less than 10 minutes after I placed the order, which was quite impressive (I couldn't go until a few days later). The pickup area is located to your left as soon as you get off the escalators. There really wasn't a shelf to get your items and your bags situated after you pick up your item and the waiting area was quite small. No one was there when I went to pick up but a line of about 5 people behind me formed as I got my item making it a bit tricky to navigate to leave the area while also trying to stuff my item into my bags. The general checkout area was quite tight as well. It's long and it's sometimes hard to see if a self checkout counter is open. Self checkout itself is pretty easy to use and I like how the machine is able to detect if the handheld scanner was properly placed back in its slot before it moves forward with checking you out. I was able to find my account easily and apply all my coupons during my transaction. The staff I asked about inventory were quite knowledgeable and were able to point me to the right aisle to get the things I needed. things were well stocked and neatly displayed as well.

To some degree I understand that many retailers are tighter on inventory to reduce how much needs to be sold at deeper discounts after certain holidays are over. However this also means certain things run out and there's no selection left which could also mean lost sales, which was the case when I came to look for a couple Christmas-related products a week before Christmas and much of that section looked decimated outside of wrapping paper, kitchen/dining supplies, some decorations and wearable accessories. They were already setting up for Valentine's Day. Walking around the store, I still appreciated that this location is still around, it's been a while since I've visited so I was glad to see still a strong selection of frames, scrapbooking supplies, paints, yarns and ribbons/trimmings. They also installed more self-service checkout machines. The shopping stop wasn't altogether unfruitful in that I picked up a pack of baked goods boxes (to place home-made cookies/pastries inside before gifting to others). I hope next time to find more of what I need!
