This experience from beginning to end was not professional, by any means. Upon entering, I was asked what I could be helped with. I then Informed them I had a 12 o'clock appointment. She asked me if I had been there before, I told her not to this particular location. Her response was, "Well we won't have any of your charts as we are independent". I let her know that was fine, and I was unaware. She kept telling me they were independent and wouldn't have any of my information, as if it was a huge inconvenience for her. Yet, they were able to enter in my name and find my eye insurance without issue. Her demeanor, tone and professionalism truly made me feel unwelcome. Before even seeing the doctor, I had already decided I would not be returning to this location. When it was time for the exam, the Doctor asked me several questions and was extremely pushy and rude. Only positive is he was knowledgeable, but does that matter if the experience is trash? He would cut me off, talk over me, and wasn't really letting me talk to be heard. I've never experienced that in what should be a professional setting until yesterday. Lastly, I only requested an exam for CONTACTS, not for eye glasses and contacts. My co-pay is $0 for contacts, but $40 for glasses. (I had to come home and confirm this with my insurance.) They did this exam without my approval, and then I had to come out of pocket. It's way too many eye doctors in the Dallas area for anyone to deal with this type of service. read more

One of the worst places you can get your eyes checked at. The receptionist there are extremely rude and unprofessional. Both ladies that were working are just ridiculous. The place is so small only 5 people at a time can be in the office at once. Then they have stuff posted that you are not allowed to be in your phone even if you are waiting. Seriously!? Oh and look at the picture of how they have everyone's file, in a random box on the floor. I'm not coming back to this trash place. read more

This is a review for the optometrist. Save your money and go somewhere else. I went last year to get a new prescription and the receptionist was incredibly rude and so was the doctor. I ordered trial contacts from them but was incredibly disappointed with the service I decided I would wait a year to buy my contacts from a different place. Walked out of this optometrist with a new glasses prescription. Fast forward to this year my glasses were always a bit fuzzy but I have really bad astigmatism I just blamed it on that. So I went to a new place and the optometrist told me I was given the completely wrong prescription for someone that has astigmatism so he gave me a fresh prescription and I can see super clear with my new glasses. This is why I am coming back to write, they not only have awful service but when I went to another doctor I was told it was a bad prescription as well. read more

This review is about PEARL VISION, not the optometrists in the adjoining office. This PEARL VISION is a great facility. Roger and his team are very attentive. They go out of their way to accommodate patients. This PEARL VISION location has the best frames and lenses. I get a new pair every year under my VSP plan, which includes high index, transition, no-line bi-focal lenses. The frames are Oakley wrap around which I find never to slip on my nose. I also added blue tech coating on the lenses to cut down on UV from my computer monitor. That was the only extra. It cost $60. Overall I'm very very happy. The grumpy optometrist In the old shoebox office. This place looks nice from the outside but once you enter you can tell this is not the place you want to be seen. The "front desk" looks like made out or cardboard falling apart. The place looks dirty and depressing, the front desk was on the rude side and the over experience was just uncomfortable like I was somehow begging to be seen. I got to my appointment on time fill out my information yet I waited for 25 minutes after my appointment .I was already at the point of leaving when I was called in. At that point my phone rang and I answer to say I will call you back in 10 minutes and the doctor told me to leave because he was going to see someone else now and if I wanted to be seen I now had to wait until 12. I can't believe people still think treating costumers like this is acceptable. You are in the service medical/ service industry if you can treat your patient with respect and dignity it's time to close your doors. read more

Like another mentioned below I'm reviewing the store not the optometrist. I had an old pair of glasses I adored that I bought from a store that had since gone out of business. I got my prescription updated but couldn't find a new pair of frames I liked so one day I decided to go in and just see if this place would be able to use my existing frames. Not only did they replace the lenses in my beloved frames they did it within about twenty minutes while I waited! While I was waiting I also saw them go out of their way to help an older gentleman wanting an extra long string for his glasses, even though he too did not buy his frames from their store. I have never been to the same optometrist twice. No one has stood out to me and simply I don't seem to care if I have a regular or not. Well I think I have finally found a place after 15 years. First, let me say I am all about the service. And I can honestly say that this place has it. I had my eye exam and bought my glasses here and I was very pleased with both. Let's start with the exam. The receptionist was very sweet and helpful. The doctor was thorough and very knowledgeable. He told me information I should have gotten when I had first started using contacts. Better late than never I guess. I felt very comfortable which I'm usually not. Very good experience. Once I got done, I went next door to look at their selection. I was very pleased not only with my glasses and the selection but at the service. Everyone was so nice and informative. You can tell they are really about making you feel comfortable and not just trying to sell you something. I told them my budget and they tried to find something for me without making me feel like a cheapskate. Of course I ended up going over budget because I found a pair I fell in love with. And to be honest, they were inexpensive compared to how much I've spent before so it was worth it. I definitely will be back next year for my next exam. Check this place out. When looking at my information sheet he asked me about my job title/employer and when I told him what I did and where I worked he said it sounded like "bulls**t". I have visited this place for years. They were able to help me get lens replaced under warranty and were great about it. Sounds like something simple and nothing really to yelp about but today, businesses are going out of business right and left and many times, just due to bad customer service. I appreciated that they were able to do this for under warranty and save me money. read more

Apparently appointments don't matter. This place is the size of a closet. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and there were at least 10 people ahead of me. It seems they accept walkins so making an appointment is a waste of time. After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time with at least five people still ahead of me (I was on my lunch break), I left. This was a huge waste of my time. They are incredibly unorganized. read more

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! My vision plan forced me to Pearl Vision, I must have picked the worst one of them all. I paid for, and ordered my glasses on January 22, 2013. I just got them March 25. WARNING! There NO RETURN NO REFUNDS policy isn't posted anywhere until you get your receipt for payment. I wasn't promised overnight service, but I was mislead to believe they could get my particular prescription done between 2-6 business days. I asked specifically for the turnaround since another Pearl Vision told me 2 weeks because they needed to send them to th lab. The Forest location acted like the other location was crazy and stated they had their own lab and would be faster, again no promises, but an insinuation of under 2 weeks right? OVER 40 DAYS! And that wasn't the worst part. Colleen is rude, lacks customer service and is a complete liar. Nothing but lies and excuses. I called the location after the first 10 days to check up on my order and she stated there was a scratch on the lens and they had to send them back. OK, I get that but no one called me. Guess what? On the 15th day I called them back and my glasses were there. I show up to pick them up and they give them to me with a scratch on the lens. WHAT!? So another 7 days go by, this time they call, I show up for pick up and the right lens is damaged with a sealed inprint. BUT WAIT, I go back a 4th time AND one lense has a HOLE and the other lens has a defect because of the anti-reflective. Again, I just wanted my money back and they refused due to their unposted policy. They actually had the nerve to state it wasn't their fault and they were just looking out for the quality. REALL? You handed me a pair of glasses with 4 different errors they NEVER CAUGHT. Inspect your damn work!!!! The place inside is dirty, the building needs an update and a cleaning and they seem to be working on a shoe string budget. The Optometrist next door takes Medicaid, which from my snooty side explains the crappy building and crappy staff. Now I have my glasses and the prescription is off. OVER 40 days and these glasses still suck. AHHHHHH!!!!! I can't go back their and deal with that level of stupid. I'm going to try my luck with my vision company and see if they'll handle it. I am going to take the loss and wait for next year otherwise. The Pearl Vision on Forest off Int 635 is a rip off. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I went and got my exam from Pearle Vision and brought in my own Coach frames so they can put the right lenses in. I went in a couple days later to pick up only to find out they completely snapped both the left and right side of my frames blaming it on the frames itself. They had told me my frames were defected but if they were, i wouldve seen the "defect" before i brought it on. They offered me 30 percent off (which that was a normal sale for all customers) then offered me 50 percent off, i wouldnt go down without a fight and i called them and told them it was their fault for why my brand spanking new frames broke, it looked like they made the lenses too big and forced it into the frames.They then told me i could pick up a pair of selected frames at no cost that i liked so i chose out a guess one. Althought they broke my brand new coach frames, they told me one of the frames i couldnt get were the coach ones. After everything was set and done, a couple of hours later i picked up my new guess frames, he adjusted it to my face and i left. At a stop light i took out my glasses and their were 3 deep a** scratches on the left lens and one deep one on the right lense. So i made a u turn, they put new ones in in about 15 minutes, i left the place and tried on the glasses again and they completely fell off of my face so i had to go back AGAIN. My glasses now look like its deformed. Both of the legs on my glasses are bent at literally a 90 degree angle and the actual frame part is bent like a U to fit my face, the lenses are so close to my eyes that my eye lashes touch them. It seems as if i picked out mens frames and if i did, they could have let me know they were men frames. I am not satisfied with their customer service and with everything else. How in the world can they break my frames and then blame it on my frames? Doesnt make sense. read more
