My husband and I went in to this location not too long ago to pick out prescription glasses, sunglasses, and contacts for the both of us. The sales associate that helped us was nice and helpful, but seemed a little confused with some of the questions I asked about certain frames and brands. Typically I use LensCrafters or independent retailers but Visionworks accepts my insurance, and I was pleasantly surprised with the selection of brands at this store. Two weeks after our visit I found out that my prescription sunglasses were broken during the production process but I was still able to pick up the other items we ordered. That's when I discovered that the warranty I requested wasn't added to our purchase, but I was still able to purchase that separately. It's now been an additional two weeks and I was told that my sunglasses won't be ready for another two weeks. Initially I was fine with waiting, but the lack of communication regarding this issue was extremely disappointing and off-putting. As a customer I shouldn't have to constantly reach out requesting updates, especially considering the delay was due to a manufacturer/production error. Due to the lack of empathy and communication regarding this issue, I likely won't return. read more

Staff was very friendly welcoming and made us feel safe and comfortable. All staff was wearing face masks and they answered all of my questions and concerns over the phone and in person. Visiting Dr. Okocha was the best eye appointment experience I've ever had. The check-in was fast and all via iPad. The assistant was good and the experience fairly standard. Then Dr. Okocha came in and she gave me practical tips as I knew my eyesight was getting worse due to excessive screen use for work (yay covid). My honest opinion for the Vision Works location in Cedar Hill is that they have improved their selection, but their staff is lacking knowledge on adjusting glasses. I purchased a nice pair of Lacoste men's frames from the Cedar Hill location in Texas, but when I picked my glasses up, the young lady who sold me the glasses just was not knowledgeable on how to adjust them to fit my face securely. I had to take my brand new glasses to Eye Master's where the manager fixed my frames to fit my face beyond my expectations that I was more than happy with his service and expertise. Despite coming from another competitor the manager from Eye Masters did not charge me and said "I'll see you for your next pair," and he is absolutely correct. Vision Works, nice selection, but you have to train your staff how to finish the buying experience all the way out the door so a family of 6 like mine will return the next year because we know we'll be taken care of from the buying experience all the way to the fitting experience out the door. read more

I am giving this place two stars instead of one because on the THIRD try they got the prescription lens correct. The lens were incorrect twice before. The assistant and the manager were just not believing me that I couldn't see correctly. I actually had to take it to my ophthalmologist at UTSW who verified it was incorrect. (This is after the store assured me they had checked the prescription!!!) and return back to the store and speak to the manager. I followed it up with an email to the manager cc to their corporate office. On the third try they got it correct. I urge you to have your prescriptions re-checked because this place doesn't do it! I'm horrified at this. I've been wearing prescription glasses since the third grade and have never experienced a situation like this. Buyer beware! read more

Extremely disappointing experience. It's been a month and I haven't received my glasses yet. They first made my glasses with the wrong power and insisted on rescheduling me with the doctor which I had to come back to another day and wait. Two more weeks and they said they would ship my glasses home. I wait a week after an SMS saying my glasses have been shipped and they said they will ship them overnight as there's been some oversight. It's been almost a month and I am yet to receive my glasses. Switalski Eye Care I called this location several times to confirm MD would be able to dilate my eyes due to me requiring lasik revision surgery, each time the receptionist placed me on hold and asked MD and he agreed he would be able to with no time restriction. I arrive at my appointment 10 min prior to my scheduled appointment time and not able to be seen by MD due to the fact it take 30 mins to completely dilate the eyes which was the only need for the appointment. It was also documented and note in my chart when I scheduled the appointment over the phone what kind of appointment I required by the MD so the office was fully aware of the appointment requirements. I would like to commend the team at this location for their outstanding service. First, I felt very safe as temperature checks are being done for all customers as they enter the store, and the desks are sanitized between customers. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful. I am mortified on how I have been treated at this location. I go to pick up my glasses, 1 pair out of 2 I try them on and cannot see nothing! ( btw I've been wearing glasses since I was 7, so I understand the adjustment period) The associate goes to "CHECK" my RX , 20-30 minutes pass I was told it was my doctors error , for me to go get my eyes rechecked. So of course I go back to my Dr and she runs it thru the Lensometer and shows its wrong. Then of course I go back to this location and ask them to recheck ( after I was waiting the 1st time for over 30min) and was shunned by the manager. I ask her if she even looked at my RX or does she have a copy? She says" no they don't keep those" . So after she insists that it was a doctor error again. I ask" have you looked at my RX?"" Do you have a copy"? , she responds with" we don't keep those" So "I say well I have a copy here" she still does not bother to look until I ask repeatedly. Then After I insist she finally looks and see there is an error on the entry of my RX. No apology no nothing. Sends me on my way and says it will be another 10 business days 3 weeks later I pick up my glasses , only 1 pair was ready and did not care for the frame after all , it was to heavy due to my high RX. I ask can I change to another frame to one of the associates she said no because I am almost at my return/exchange time limit. I go to explain wait this (3 week 3 addnl 3 week because my rx was entered incorrectly waiting period isn't my fault) Long story short I ask for DM's name ? They responded with they can only give me his first name which is Mark . I ask for his phone #, they are not allowed to provide . They finally agree to switch out my frames and remake them so I go back 3 weeks later . Let me tell you I felt like I was back in High School. I have a few more times after and the experience was very uncomfortable. Until finally I spoke up and said apologized to the associate to whatever I have done to offend them and she listened. Her name is Neste, I believe, she was great! She has been the only one that has listened and provided me superb customer service. I have been purchasing from that location for over 8 years for my and my family., Thru this purchase I have to visit over 4 times., Cut to today , my second pair of glasses are ready and my daughter goes to pick them for me and the manager cuts my daughters off and dismisses her. Asks her a questions , she replies but then rolls her eyes and asks the associate. This is now bullying !! I have been in customer service for over 20 years , have myself managed optical locations and have never seen this disgusting behavior. Then had the nerve to call me and tell me that the glasses that they did order three weeks later, came in and didn't pass inspection. I'd give a 0 rating if I was able. I have had numerous issues with the Northpark, Dallas store when ordering and receiving glasses & contacts. Last year, they ordered the wrong prescription for my contact lenses and I had to wait for a new order. Fast forward to 2021, on 10/5 I ordered 2 pairs of glasses and a supply of contact lenses. They ordered the wrong contacts. Again. As of 12/20, I am still waiting for the contacts. I have had to make numerous calls and trips to the store and still have nothing. I am working with 2.5 month old contact lenses in my eyes at this point. They were supposed to send me sample lenses while I waited. Nothing has come. Also had issues with glasses. The frames were warped/shrunk when I went to pick up. They ordered new ones. When those arrived they said they needed to get new lenses so I had to then wait for those. It was almost 2 months before I finally got them. I've called the manager, Maria Zarate, who refuses to get on the phone and just chooses to let staff members call and "help". Frustrating. I wish I would have read their reviews and ratings here and elsewhere before I wasted so much time and energy. I still have yet to get resolution or a full refund of my order. read more

I have been a customer here for years. I went in with an emergency. My glasses were broken. I needed them temporarily repaired and new ones ordered immediately. I am sick and disabled and without any family or community support so this was important to me. I was told that they would not repair my glasses and that getting new ones would take 10 days to arrive. I went to another vision store in the mall where they immediately fixed my glasses so that at least I could drive home without risking an accident. I ordered new glasses that would arrive in 4 days. Although this store gave me a 40% discount off of both frames and lenses, and another $50 deduction, they still cost more than those at Visionworks. I really didn't care. I won't be back to Visionworks. They obviously didn't care about my business or my safety. read more

My experience is in two parts...The first part was good. I shopped around for glasses after my eye appointment, and got help from a very nice optician, who took care of my order quickly and efficiently after helping me find the style of frames that I wanted. I want to say her name was Stephanie, but I am not 100% sure. The second part was not so good. The day after I placed my order, I got a call from Chris, who was calling to tell me my order was ready. I was surprised, because I'd been told it would take a week to get them in. But I have worked in eyecare for a long time, and even I know sometimes miracles do happen. But Chris assured me that my glasses were ready, and that I could pick them up at my convenience. When I got there that afternoon, I knew something was wrong when I gave the lady my name, and she was busy consulting with someone else about my order. She then came back to me and told me that it was a mistake, and that my glasses had actually been made incorrectly. I was livid, and I asked the lady if someone had bothered to check the prescription of my glasses BEFORE they called me. She very sheepishly answered that it didn't look like it. In the ten years that I spent working in eyecare offices, I have never, ever seen customers get called to be told their glasses were ready unless the prescription was verified and checked first. I thought it was an extreme show of carelessness on their part. For this reason, this will be the last time I visit their establishment. They made me waste my time driving up there (which is not a short drive), and their oversight left a very bad taste in my mouth. read more

She took my glasses (which I thought weren't going to be able to be fixed), worked on them for about 3 minutes, and handed them back to me good as new!! When I picked them up they were so awesome but they soon started to have major issues that required me to ask for a new frame to replace the 3 week old one. They replaced it without reservation, but I was concerned about the frame warping again if i got it adjusted. Krystal and Daniella were super awesome and ensured I was well taken care of. The African American lady, was super nice, helped me to choose my frames, gave me her best opinion and communicated to me the specials and benefits of having premium lens. Experience was A+, thank you. Came to pick up my first pairs, because I got two, tried them on. Fast pick up. Glasses didn't came with a cloth. Came my second time to pick up my second pairs, fast pick up. Glasses didn't came with a cloth... At least when you purchase 2 pairs it should come with one cloth. When I purchased my glasses there about 2016, the service was great. So, when I needed new ones in 2018, I went back. The service there has definitely gone downhill. The staff weren't at all enthusiastic about offering feedback when I was selecting the frames, nor while going through the lens options during the final order. When I picked the glasses up, they gave me a case too small for my glasses. When I returned requesting a larger one, the sales lady returned with a ridiculously large one. When I say "ridiculously large", I'm not being hyperbolic. It was a total lack of common sense to offer that particular one. She told me that was the only one they had. I ended up just using an old case I already had. I spent about $600 on those glasses. Did I mention there was no cloth for cleaning the glasses in any of the cases? No? Well, there wasn't that either. I'm shopping for new glasses today. I'm not returning there. read more

I bought a pair of glasses last August, they were very cheaply made---low grade. These glasses had spring loaded ear pieces that completely fell apart after 3 months. I got a email stating that they were giving me a 100 day replacement if I wasn't happy with the frames. I went into Vision Works at Northpark Mall in Dallas to get them to replace my broken frames within the 100 days....a foreigner was a new person there and couldn't understand his accent, so I told him I wanted to speak to the GM Maria that had sold those to me in Aug. He said, she was out for awhile, so I continued to call Vision Works several times. I was on vacation when my glasses broke, when I got back to Dallas I called Maria, she said she would be there all day. When I went to store, Maria try's to make me buy a warranty before she could replace my frames. Very bad business since these frames were just purchased in Aug. 2022 and broke after 3 months. This is where I have purchased my glasses for last 6 years in the past, but since this turnover of people have taken over, I will never go back again. They say if you have a problem call Customer Service, or go to their website...this is a total joke since I stay on hold with CS their at Vision works at Northpark for over a hour, they never called within the 24 hrs. I also went to website---a computer typed back repeatedly to give your name, phone, email, after you send the complaint the computer Amelia--ends and starts all over, I know I put the info in about 5 times. This is a total joke and this Corp. company needs to be shut down due to bad customer service and a bad company. I went in to buy lenses for my regular glasses and a new set of prescription sunglasses. I walked in and immediately was helped with a very lack luster greeting. Thats fine, i just wanted to get my lenses and get out. I was interrupted multiple times with my consultant by other employees who were asking a lot of questions on how to do their jobs, so i figure that the lady that was helping me was the manager. I had questions about the lenses and the costs for each. I was curious about the gradation style sunglasses and i guess i had asked about this before but i wasn't sure on the prices and times for this service and was told by her that "i thought we had already discussed this". The entire time I was around her her demeanor was very cocky and "i don't care" type attitude. Its sad because I had gone there before and really liked the help I received. I actually moved far away from this location but drove there because of the service and the care i received the first time i was there. I will not be going to any Visionworks again. My total for lenses and he glasses I was going to get was around $400. Really its the companies loss, what separates one eye care business from the other, costumer relations...i will find it somewhere else. read more
