Realize that this is a franchise. Can only review Pearll Vision location at 7931 Ritchie Hwy Glen Burnie, MD 21061. The place looks nice but you pay for that for sure. Total waste of time, energy, and money. For about $500.00 l purchased a new pair of glasses at this location. First year all was good. A couple days after the first year ended the right lens fell out and they initially refused to replace the lens because it was out of their one year warranty. I refused to accept their decision and after demanding relief they replaced the lens free of charge. They assured me that I'd never receive another replacement. A couple of months later I lost the same lens and learned from another practitioner that the frame was faulty and "Jerry rigged" to make it hold the lens for a short period of time. Bought a new pair from Sam's and never again would step into Pearl Vision located at 7931 Ritchie Hwy Glen Burnie, MD 2106. In my 5th year with the same pair from Sam's and naturally need another pair. Back to Sam's for sure. read more

Pearle Vision Express is typical of every eye glass place you might visit. It's clean and the staff are very friendly. This particular Pearle Vision Express has been in Glen Burnie, MD, for over 20 years and hasn't changed any; to me I'd call that dated. A remodel would really change the atmosphere. We went there for a pair of new prescription glasses. We also bought a groupon ($43 for $225 value of purchase). We thought a pair of glasses wouldn't be too much more expensive than that. We were very wrong. They marked up the prices for all the frames to ridiculous numbers. The average price for a frame is $210 (brand and no brand). The cheapest pair there was $139.99 (no brand) and they were plastic and looked very cheap. These were for kids. You can probably get them from Walmart for $10 each. On top, we had to pay another $300 for the lenses. The total ended up to be about $440.00. Later we checked online. We can get similar (or better) frames for $6 and up online. With the lenses, a pair of glasses only costs about $45 online that we paid $250 for, with the groupon. Although the lady working there was very nice and courteous, we felt it was such a rip off. I wouldn't recommend to get glasses there. The doctor were nice. read more

Purchased my 4 year sunglasses here this summer. The eye exam was great. No pressure to rush through it. Front desk great! I purchase the new Oakley Flax 2 sunglasses. These are difficult to fit... Not Pearle Vision's fault. Just the way Oakley makes them. Because of this I have been back in there 5 times for adjustments (another brand would have taken one trip), as I am very meticulous about the way my sunglasses fit. I wear them up to 10 hours a day. The staff is great each and every time. No worries, come back again if you need us!! I love it! read more

Went to this location after another eye place refused to accept my insurance. The exam went well and the dr was extremely helpful with her recommendations. When my wife returned for her follow up visit and asked for her prescription she was treated extremely rudely. The same salesman who a week ago was perfectly pleasant and amazing did a 180 and showed his true colors. I sort of suspected it would happen. They are nice to you as long as you are willing to blow 500 plus on your glasses. The second you hint otherwise, they send you packing. Such a shame, I thought this store might have been different. Dr. Patel was extremely patient and listened to all me concerns and addressed them with complete reassurance. Staff also took in account my insurance was not eligible for another 8 months and worked me out a deal that was top notch and inexpensive. I had a bad experience with the service at Pearle Vision located at 7931 Ritchie Highway. It appears that they are owned by or doing business as Infinite Vision Inc. as both names appear on my receipt. In brief, I lost my eye glasses and went to Pearle for a replacement. They refused to replace what I lost stating that the prescription was over 2 years old. It did not matter that those lost eye glasses had been working just fine for me. So I go through the eye exam, and they sell me on something called transition lenses which are expensive. Well, the new lenses give me a headache so I go back and request a different pair of lenses... which of course would have been cheaper. And this second pair does not work well for me so I just give up with these people. By the time I got that second pair of glasses I have been to this Pearle store about 5 times, and spent hundreds of dollars. It was definitely a waste of time and money. I will never go back. In the end I purchased a pair of off-the-shelf eye glasses from Target for $20 which work better than what Pearle gave me, and both pairs look the same. read more

Stay aware from the Pearle Vision in Glen Burnie, MD (next door to Boston Market). They tell you that you can exchange your glasses within two weeks, then when you try to do this they pull the old bait and switch on you. This is a horrible place to get eyewear, as selection is poor, staff are inaccurate and the product delivered is unusable. read more

My son went here for his check up. They tried to sell him everything, including a scan that they told him was for older patients. Then they suggested he try a new kind of contact lens. They didn't tell him it was going to cost $55 for the person to give him the new contacts to put in himself. Turned out the contacts they gave him to try and put in his eyes expired 6 months ago. Thanks for nothing! Since they made a big mistake, we asked for the $55 back. They said no but they would give us 10 percent off our next purchase. We don't buy the contacts from them anyways because they are already too expensive. They just lost a family of customers! read more

Pearle vision will not give me my contacts prescription because I did not come in for a follow up appointment after given trial contacts when I was told specifically by the doctor to just call them. My husband went in to pick up his fixed glasses that he was told would be free to fix and now they want to charge him $110 when the frames brand new are $115 - ridiculous. While there he was trying to pick up my prescription and they wouldn't because the file "is not closed out" because I did not come in for this alleged follow up that I was never told about. Mike, the kid he spoke to and I later spoke to on the phone was condescending and rude. We pId for this prescription and now they won't give us them which is not only straight up theft, but now makes it twice that we were lied to. I normally don't buy frames from places like this but I absolutely love my glasses. I will start with the summary then detail my experience. Pearle Vision located at 7931 Ritchie Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 is staffed with incompetent, unprofessional, and oh yes, liars with horrible customer service. If I had the option to give less than 1 star that would be my rating. I paid these people $560 for a pair of eye glasses that does not serve its intended purpose and currently sits on my counter unused. Clearly my eye exam was not done correctly because when wearing the eye glasses prescribed & filled by Pearle Vision I suffered headaches from eye strain caused by the eye glasses. Pearle Vision's attempt to remedy the problem was to make the prescription stronger without taking the time to conduct another eye exam to correct their error. Off course that did not remedy the situation and at that point Pearle Vision tells me that the problem was that I waited too long to fill the prescription. Note that on the prescription it clearly states that you have one year to fill eye prescription. There was only a 3 month period between the date Pearle Vision did my eye exam and when they filled the prescription. I returned the eye glasses to Pearle Vision after several back and forth with me telling them that there was something wrong with the prescription. When I tried to give them the glasses they refused to take it. Do yourself a favor and do not patronize Pearle Vision located at 7931 Ritchie Hwy, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. I have never taken the time to write a review but this was warranted and I wanted to ensure no one else got screwed over by these so-called eye care professionals. I fought tooth and nail with these useless folks but no success. I ended up having to get a new eye exam from real eye care professionals who rendered competent service. I am extremely happy with my new eye glasses albeit I had to spend another $500. I do hope that $560 that Pearle Vision's chose to hold on to instead of satisfying its customer served them well. Pearle Vision you can shove that $560 up your .... Not a good business decision in our current culture where "yelp" allows you to share your experience and rate service. I could not have been more satisfied with my experience at Pearle Vision in Glen Burnie. The store looks amazing. My boyfriend got a thorough eye exam and frames. I just got frames. There was a huge selection of both frames and amazing sunglasses. I will definitely be going back for a contact exam. A bit pricey but service from Scott was well worth the extra expense. I price shopped glasses at BJ's, Sams, Lens Crafter and Pearl Vision, not much difference in price for comparable products. Settled on Pearl Vision merely due it being the last stop of my comparison shopping trip and that I realized no advantage among retailers. I was pleasantly surprised when I received my glasses. Scott took time to make sure the glasses were expertly fitted as well as educate me on other glass types that I may choose to utilize in the future. No sale pitch at all.
