So I went there to get some services done eye exam/glasses/lenses. They ran my insurance and said yep everything will be covered. Okay great!! Come back about 3 weeks later to pick up my glasses. Everything all good. Than about a month later I get a bill for 1100 saying my insurance wasn't active at the time but now it is. I went there to talk to the manager to try to come up with a solution. They were extremely unhelpful and borderline rude. They told me either pay now or we're sending it to collections. STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE!!! read more

I visited Pearle Vision Minnetonka in October 2025. I cant begin to share how horrible and unprofessional my experience was. The staff is rude and the doctors were unprofessional. I tried to get my eye exam records sent to another eye clinic and it was literally a fight to make this happen. Everything about my experience was great! I was promptly greeted at the door when I walked in! My appt was scheduled for 4pm, but I got there early.. they sat me right when I got there! Started by talking with an optician about my insurance info and she brought me back to get me started. Went through health hx, etc... Checked my Rx, did the poof of air in the eye (which was way better this time than I remember?), and she gave me the option for dilation drops or the pictures-- I chose the pictures partially because I didn't want to deal with blurry vision for the next few hours, but also I love looking at the pics! She was extremely kind, and comforting through all the tests! Cool to see the back of my eye, with arteries and the fovea, etc! After I had the initial tests completed, I waited for the Dr. He brought me back and was super nice and really good about explaining everything in detail. I love learning so it was great! He explained in detail was astigmatism was, how HTN and diabetes look on the pics (luckily mine looked healthy), and he went through anatomy of the eye, explaining the macula, fovea, optic nerve, etc! We went through the letters, dots, which is sharper, etc per eye and then we proceeded to try in contacts and do the tests again. Once this was complete he walked me out front and I saw another optician who was eager and excited to help me pick out some new frames! She was helping me pick frames that fitted my face and was honest with her opinion on a variety of frames-- SUPER helpful! We also talked about similar interests of working out and strength training, so friendly and relatable! We decided on a pair and they are super bright and colorful! I can't wait to get them! Overall, amazing customer service! That Dr is lucky to have such an awesome staff, who are down to earth and positive! Everyone was sweet, and really good vibes from this place! Recommend 100%!! So ..., my glasses frame cracked near the lens( lens popping out). Took the glasses to pearl vision here , New Year's Eve day. Insurance about to expire, you know? Btw my hubby bought a new pair of glasses xmas eve day! Hmmmm. Anyway, I was greeted right as I entered by this FABULOUS young man ( Jacob ). He took me to the wall where many cool frames are- chose at least 10 for me to try. Kindly commenting, suggesting which ones "frame" my face. I mean giving me wonderful suggestions as we omitted the on s that could work for me. I enjoyed his candor. Anyway I said " oh so this one will fit my lenses?" He stopped and said no, then went to the back to the repair expert technician was, comes back tells me how and what my lenses are made of. That they were very expensive and his advice to me was to go on to eBay and see if there was a frame exactly as the one I cracked! I MEAN.., what honestly and kindness. He could have sold me a whole new pair and these very expensive lenses I chose would have gone down the drain $$&$$$$$ ba-by! Jeff was/is a delight to work with! The location has all the Covid precautions in place and they didn't hamper my visit at all. Jeff was happy to work with my price point and I had fun selecting frames that were "not hideous" in my words. He narrowed down my choices and I am delighted with the frames we selected. I have been a client of Pearle Vision (a different location) for many years. My teenage daughter used the Minnetonka, MN location for the first time to get an updated prescription for her contacts and order glasses. Unfortunately she contracted a double eye infection after her exam. In response to our doctor's recommendation, when I picked up the glasses I told the staff and manager what happened. The response was "interesting considering we sanitize after every patient". I then just said that it was unfortunate since I was going to have to overnight ship these glasses to my daughter who was traveling and now on antibiotic eye drops and couldn't use contacts. She responded with "got it" and walked away. So honestly, I'm more upset with the manager's response than anything else. How about an "I'm so sorry" or "thanks for letting us know." There are many vision competitors out there and unfortunately this will be our last visit to Pearle Vision. read more

What an amazing staff! This location has been an excellent experience every time I go! I am always excited to see Donavan, Jeff, Jason, Jessica an Crystal was there this time! I was greeted by name by Donovan as well! All 3 gentlemen are always great to work with. They provide great suggestions to suit your style. I have a ton of fun there picking out glasses. I also brought my daughter in to get glasses and Jason and Jessica helped and I ended up getting another pair because they both helped me find such a cute fashionable pair! We had a blast that day doing it! Now I can't wait to go back every year again! Never been so excited to go to the eye doctor in my life! Jeff just puts you at ease and is great at giving a nice amount of options and suggestions and has a great eye for the perfect shape that fits your perfect! All employees were wearing masks and temperature check was done before admittance into the building. Everything was being cleaned thoroughly before I had to touch any of it. All the employees were super friendly and the whole trip was very efficient. I had to wait maybe two minutes after checking in otherwise my whole appointment was streamlined to get me in and out. Not so impressed with this store. Got pushed into a set of glasses that I said I did not care for... Then, I paid for an years worth of contacts and the set of glasses. Needed a receipt for the contacts to redeem a rebate. Mgr said I could not get one ( through a employee) was too scared to speak to me directly... Hid behind his employee. Because, his employee forgot to charge me fifty dollars for the contact fitting. So, I was being punished because they made a mistake. I would have been happy to pay. However, it took 3 trips and 4 calls to get the glasses dealt with. The woman kept forgetting to do measurements, Forgot that my glasses would take another day due to the lens. Don't think the technician was qualified to sell frames and glasses. The eye doc was great, Things were made right after I contacted the district management.... read more

So I needed an eye exam and had gone here in the past. Was able to easily set up the appointment online on their website. I went in for the eye exam, which was covered by my insurance. I didn't realized that since I wore contact lens, there would be a $70 contact lens fitting fee added on that was not covered by insurance. After the eye exam I asked for a hard copy of my prescription in case I wanted to go elsewhere and was given it. When I got home I realized it was only valid for one year from the date of the exam. In the past it was always valid for two years from the date. I researched it online and discovered that it is MN State law that prescriptions need to be valid two years from the date of the exam. I called and discovered that they were aware of the law, but for some reason an error was made in the calculation. They said that they would email me an updated copy of the prescription. Didn't get an email with the prescription, but I did get an email indicating that they were automatically setting up an appointment one year later, even though I did not ask for it. To make matters worst, there was no way to cancel the appointment that I did not request, only the option to change the time and date. Waited three days and still no email with the updated prescription, so I called again. The gal said that she would send that out immediately. Waited and still no email prescription. Finally decided to stop by in person the next day. Was finally able to get the legal eye prescription with the 2 year expiration date. Not impressed that they know the law about eye exam prescriptions needing to be dated two years out, but still handing out prescriptions valid only for 1 year. read more

My daughter completed an extensive vision exam for a concussion from a nearby clinic that recommended going to Pearle to purchase the frames. We were going to go back to the clinic with the frames and wait 10-14 days for the lenses to be completed. But thankfully, Dalton gently mentioned that Pearle can do the same prism prescription within an hour. We got the prescription faxed to Pearl and the insurance processed, but the clinic needed to check the glasses before they were worn and they closed in an hour. Dalton pushed the order through and we actually got it in 15 minutes!! We immediately went to the clinic and they said the lenses were cut perfectly, which was a surprise to them since they often saw incorrectly cut prism lenses. Great job Dalton and the lens technician! Thank you so much for giving us exceptional customer service. We will be back! read more

So just to start off I would never take my family there ever again. The managers name is Maggie she represented herself as the owner when we started having problems with billing. My bill was 160 and it should have been billed through my insurance and they didn't file it correctly and so I had to keep calling back to resolve the issue it's still not resolved. Then she want to tell me that I actually owed her 560 and that is not what my billing statement says. She was rude and yelling and screaming all because she kept getting told that she needed to contact the insurance company and here's the correct information just incase they got it wrong and this all started because people were delivering messages correctly to the right people when it was asked. My fiance then called after she got done telling me not to call back again just to make sure we were on the same page because she said she was gonna wipe out all charges .he didn't even get to talk to her She started screaming and yelling hung up on him several times and then said she was gonna call the cops because hes trying to get a written statement saying that she was going out right out the charges. So I decide call corporate and go up the line now I'm waiting for a regional manager to call me back and this is gonna go a lot farther at this point she was so rude so disrespectful. I've gone to prearle visions for years I've never ever had a problem with any of them before now. Just so everybody know Maggie works also in Eden prairieso when you have issues with your billing as probably in one of her locations. I'm hoping good things will come out this. I'm gonna be requesting that the money I spent on a contact exam will be refunded as well because. I'm just recommend anyone that's looking to get their eyes checked and needs glasses or anything should not go to any of these locations I like just beg you to pick somewhere else. My mother and I ordered frames and after not hearing for over a month we finally called them and they said they had no idea we even ordered any glasses because if they would of received them, they would of called, than asked if "Joseph" was the one that was supposed to order them. About 45 minutes later we received a call back from the same guy saying they found our glasses and were filed under R for my mothers first name instead of E for our last name. When we asked how long the glasses had been in they side stepped the question and wouldn't answer it, they just kept apologizing for the mistake. When we went in to get our lenses and stuff (the manager who had been the person to order the frames in the first place and screwed up our order) who than made us try on dozens more pairs of glasses saying he wasn't a fan of the ones we picked in the first place, which is confusing that he didn't just tell us that when we placed the order. After over two hour there and finally got our glasses measured and was told it would take a day for mine and up to a week for my moms glasses to be ready considering they have a place on site to make the lenses, it has now been a week and we have got no calls to even hear if my glasses (which were supposed to take a day) were ready let alone to hear if my moms are ready. If I am paying for more expensive glasses than I would like some sort of customer service to go along with it considering there are dozens of places I could of chosen to go, all the sales people are friendly there but they are definitely some things they need to work out. read more
