This quaint shop is delightful. I choose to come to this place because it is close to a friend that I visit often. There is a wonderful man that works here that is absolutely charming. He gives top notch service and literally rolls out the red carpet for his guests. He has a wonderful personality, he is attentive and very honest feedback about how the eyewear looks on me. I highly recommend you see him. I worked with a gal a couple years ago that was extremely lackluster and had zero skills in terms of assisting me in picking out I eyewear that would look flattering on me. I've been going there for the last ten years and I told them I wanted my old frames cause they were great and they suggested I get new frames. Well I went to have a discussion with them and they said they could switch them for an extra 280 bucks. no other options was presented to me. I called Eyes All Over while shopping for a comprehensive and contact lens exam. Bailey was highly knowledgeable and asked great questions to glean details to preemptively present information useful to my particular situation. The parking lot is small, with six spots shared between the street-facing optometry office and an interactive media studio behind it. I was greeted by both Bailey and the sunny Teri upon walking in. Soon as I was done with the paperwork, Bailey had a machine quickly measure my eyes for basic numbers to hand off to the optometrist (no puff of air involved, in case that bothers anyone), and I was ushered to the office to meet Dr. Matthew Anderson. Matt is a rather quiet individual - going expect overt humor or any chit-chat. That said, he was professional and thorough, whether in checking my eyesight, fitting me for contact lenses, or rechecking the fitting after I'd put on a trial pair. Eyes All Over typically gives over a week's worth of daily contact lenses for a trial run, and Matthew makes a point of guiding clients towards economical lens choices that offer enough support for their eyes without wallet overkill. Optometrists often have a refitting policy in event a prescription doesn't feel quite right, and Matthew's refitting policy extends 60 days from the examination. Overall, a good experience. Hey did you notice the picture of the lady on the Eyes All Over Yelp page? When my wife needed to get new glasses, moving more and more to the small business and local companies, I did some Yelpsearch. There were a few different options but Eyes All Over kind of jumped out at me. First for their excellent reviews and second for that picture of the lady. Even though they did not have a lot of reviews we thought this would be our kind of place. I called to verify if we needed an appointment or not and was told if we had a prescription within the last year that we did not need an appointment. My wife did have a recent prescription so we stopped in on a Saturday morning. Eyes All Over is conveniently located on 7th St just outside of St Paul. We were promptly greeted by Teri when we walked in. Since we had our prescription it was just a matter of my wife finding some frames. Now something you need to know about my wife. If she were to go to the grocery store for a bag of chips, and there were only 2 bags of chips left in the whole store, it would probably take her an hour to decide. Yes she is very indecisive. Teri was kind enough to blink the lights in the store to let us know they were closing. I am just kidding. Terri come over to offer her opinion and help. With her assistance and knowledge we were able to select a frame. Teri then guided us through the lens process explaining our options and insurance throughout. Less than a week later our glasses were ready to pick up. Very pleased with our experience and excellent customer service. We did get a good deal on our frames however our overall cost was more than we paid when we last got glasses. That could be attributed to a number of different reasons. Great Neighborhood Business! I thought it was the best and most thorough eye exam I have ever had. Everyone was friendly. Joe was not only helpful, but truly engaging. Service was fantastic. The owner of this place is extremely rude and her boyfriend that works there. Has no idea what he's doing. I called there this morning as my warranty are. My lenses is through this small business. When she put my lenses in that I had ordered outside of her business. She cracked my lenses in the corner and would not abide by the warranty and was extremely rude. As in the past they made me come down there four times with different orders that her boyfriend had made mistakes on. I highly recommend that you do not use this company. Their super unprofessional!! One day I was feeling especially daring and I bought a Groupon for someone to poke at my eyeballs. But now that it's said and done, consider my corneas happily caressed. The Groupon was a great deal - $79 for an eye exam + $150 off of frames. I don't have vision insurance so I was all over this. And obviously I yelped the bejeezus out of them and only found positive reviews. So I called and booked an appointment with a pleasant employee. The location is convenient for me, close to work and though it's just street parking, there are always vacant free spots in front. The shop is decorated mindfully and it feels very homey but professional. My Optometrist was cool. He was young and friendly, though shaking his hand was like holding a wet noodle. Well I guess I'd rather have a wet noodle than a stick in my eye. The exam was quick and painless. Well, actually void of any feeling because he put the numbing dye into my eyes. He didn't tell me about the numbing part at first, so don't panic when you think that the drops have given you two lazy eyes that are about to die and fall out of your head. After the exam, we got right to the fun part - picking out frames. Teri was a great associate and it was like playing dress up with yo face. I told her my preferences and she flitted around like the frames fairy she is, finding me trendy potential. I settled on these awesome green tortoise cat-eye glasses (come at me, Lisa Loeb) and the transaction with my Groupon was easy. All of my options and the bill itemization were thoroughly explained and sent to my email. If I have any questions or concerns, I feel totally comfortable giving them a call or showing up, yay! read more

I went for an eye exam at Eyes All Over recently (today). I had read the previous reviews and thought this seemed like a nice place and could find nothing indicating otherwise, doctor, selection, staff, etc. all seemed good. Then I got there. I found the store staff less than welcoming, when the first thing you hear is "Do you have a mask?" (no hellos, how are you, nothing). and then pointed the direction to take one off the table, followed by "here's the bathroom, wash your hands". OK, so not super impressed with the warmth factor here, but maybe the Dr. will be great.........or maybe, upon turning around to take a seat I hear "give me your glasses" from an unknown man standing before me. I then asked who he was and was told he's the doctor. He takes my glasses and disappears in back. A minute later he comes back to get me and then introduces himself, Dr. Matthew Anderson. We go back to the exam room, no talking, no polite chatter, nothing. I ask some questions about my prescription as the exam is wrapping up, one of which is about the dilation exam that is always included with an annual exam. He says, that yes they usually do them, but due to "time constraints" he would be unable and I'd have to come back another time. (This after noticeably checking his watch several times during the exam) Whose time contstraints??? I have set aside time in my schedule for a full eye exam!!! What???? When did this become a thing? He literally said nothing more, no "sorry" he's running behind, no "does this work for you", no "hey I understand you were expecting a full exam here today!" Nothing!!!! He escorts me out and walks away. Boom. Done. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to get you r eye needs met. They were rude, lacked basic social skills and had no regard for their patients time. Too many other places to choose from than to tolerate this BS. read more

I love my glasses from Eyes All Over. I love the convenience of a small store ( but with a fun selection of eye wear!) that can accommodate everything a large store can, without the hassle of being in a mall and fighting crowds and parking! I got my exam at Eyes All Over and can pop back in for a new nose pad or to have them pop in my lens. These smaller fixes, I can just pop in without an appointment. The staff are kind and helpful. I moved to the west seventh neighborhood in June of last year and have been slowly but surely moving my life to this side of the river. I've always thought that when you move the most important things to find are a doctor, a mechanic, and a hairdresser. Since I was good on those fronts (woohoo!) it was time to branch out and my 5 year old glasses needed to be retired desperately, which led me to Eyes All Over. It's a smaller store which suited me just fine-there were plenty of styles to choose from but not so many that it was overwhelming. Teri helped me and led with asking what kind of glasses I had in mind. I told her and she showed me some styles she thought I would like and started a maybe pile for me so I could come back to what I liked later and narrow down THE glasses. It was nice to have her suggest some cause I tried on things that I normally might not have but I didn't feel pressured to chose any certain pair. And bonus points to her cause she didn't say they all looked good on me, cause there is nothing more annoying than the salesgirl who tells you everything you try on looks great even if you look like a troll! I narrowed it down to 2 pairs and ended up with some I can't wait to wear, and they'll be in the store in less than a week so I can finally say goodbye to my scratched and sad old pair. The only potential downside would be that they don't carry every brand, so if you have your heart set on Ray-Bans this isn't the place for you. I did almost leave with some polkadot Kate Spade's though, so it's not all brands you've never heard of. I had a current prescription so I can't speak to the eye exam experience, but if you are in the market for fun sassy glasses I highly recommend them! read more

The optometrist fixed them up for me and showed me how to keep them in good condition (apparently vintage plastic needs to be oiled!) Don't judge a book by its cover. Went in not expecting much, was gonna get contacts for the first time. Was greeted right away even tho they were tending other customers, I got service right away and even tho I was early to my appointment, the doctor saw me right away. The atmosphere there was a homey, friendly and welcoming work area. The employees was very professional, always smiling and willing to help you or accommodate to your needs. Teri fixed them immediately at no charge. When I had my new prescription, I returned to Eyes All Over. Teri bent over backwards for me to put me in a frame like the old ones I liked.
