She even helped with light household duties, which, as any parent of a newborn knows, was truly a lifesaver and gave us some much-needed time to rest. Simone was always available to answer our questions, quick to respond, and approachable over the phone, which was a huge comfort. Her warm demeanor and professionalism were evident in every interaction. At the hospital, she was highly respected by the staff, which made everything run more smoothly for us. I tend to be a shy person, but thanks to her encouragement, I felt empowered to voice my birth plan and wishes to the hospital staff. She was my advocate when I needed one the most. During labor, she was creative and resourceful, introducing exercises to help with dilation. Even when things took an unexpected turn, leading to an emergency C-section, she stayed by our side until the very end. She supported my husband while we transitioned to a new room and ensured he was prepared for the theater. Simone felt like family in those precious moments of welcoming our baby. Her care didn't end with the birth; she continued to check in on us afterward and provided thoughtful, timely answers to all our new-parent questions. My husband and I refer to Simone as the baby and parent whisperer.  During my pregnancy, she shared resources that helped us feel prepared going into delivery-- everything from how to advocate for our preferences to exercises to prepare for labor. Through her workshops, we felt like we had a solid grasp on all of the medical interventions as well. When we initially went into labor, Simone was on the phone with me, sharing guidance that helped me have an easeful early labor-- I ate and rested and I felt like I was on solid ground. Ultimately, we had a spontaneous and unintentional delivery at home. Later, Simone supported us in having a positive and dignified experience at the hospital when the staff tried to force us to do things we did not want to do. I left the hospital less than 2 days later with my baby and family feeling so grateful that I had a beautiful birth even though it didn't go as planned. I know it's in part because Simone prepared me physically and mentally to own my birthing story.  Postpartum, Simone supported me through the best pp visits. 10/10 recommend. She made sure I got rest. She made sure I had nourishing foods. She noticed the tension in my shoulders while breastfeeding. When my BF journey wasn't going as planned, pumping was challenging, and we were relying primarily on formula, she encouraged me and shared tools that helped us get back to primarily BF, which is what I wanted. I went from barely feeding my baby on one breast to feeding on both and only using formula by choice at night.  If you want to feel confident and affirmed in your pregnancy and postpartum, choose Simone as your doula. My husband and I hired Simone as our doula right before the pandemic hit in March of 2020. It was the best decision we made. We did the full package and it was a blessing to have Simone there every step of the way to answer all of my questions and concerns. I was having my first baby and really did not know what to expect. Simone gave me tons of holistic suggestions, but also did a great job of listening to everything that I wanted for my pregnancy. I felt completely comfortable and was able to be vulnerable with Simone which goes a long way during a time like your pregnancy. I even sent her pictures of what I thought was my mucus plug passing lol (I was THAT comfortable with her). Simone really earned her keep during L & D. She was there every step of the way rubbing me, making sure I had everything I needed the entire time and she kept the essential oils flowing in the room. My husband and her were a great team in the delivery room and we even had nurses sneaking into our room to catch the vibes we had set (my husband had created a great music playlist). Simone is all about energy and vibes and she was a great fit for our family. I couldn't imagine giving birth without her. If I have a second baby Simone will be there. I felt safe and I felt like I had the best possible advocate. HIRE SIMONE! As a first-time mama and the first in my family to consider having a doula to help support and advocate for my husband and I during birth, I would 10/10 recommend Simone. She provided us with a ton of information and support.  She was an amazing support during my labor. I am 100% sure the reason as into why i did not have a long labor was because of her. I stalled around 6cm and her immediate response with making sure I changed position every hour helped me dilate quicker! During the entire labor she made sure I understood what was happening and why something could be happening.  One thing i loved about Simone was her ability to adapt to our needs. My husband and I hired Simone to help us through the pregnancy and delivery of our first child. With the pandemic in full swing and the countless stories swirling around about black maternal deaths I just knew I needed to have extra support. From our first conversation, I knew Simone was the one. She was reassuring and allowed us newbie parents plenty of room to ask questions. I loved her holistic approach and the infusion of aromatherapy during the actual delivery. She was also able to interact well with the nurses at the hospital so even they saw her as an asset in the room and not an intruder which can sometimes happen when introducing a doula during delivery. When my doctor wanted to induce me Simone encouraged us to advocate for more time to see if I could dialate on my own and even the attending physician told me how proud she was that I had advocated for myself. I also attribute my postpartum bounce back to the care I received from her in the early days after I returned home from the hospital. Honestly, this review is long overdue! Simone is the best. She was a real support through my pregnancy, birth and post-partum. She was worth it all and definitely will get a call back for baby number 2. She is first always an advocate, thorough, informative, and transparent. She was easy to build a relationship with and made my crazy experience a safe and memorable one. She gave me the ability to truly choose what I needed and wanted. Words cannot explain the difference a doula makes. I will always advise a momma to have a doula after my experience with Simone. She has changed my perspective of the need for a Doula. I gave birth to my second child in December 2022. While pregnant, I wanted to hire a doula again. My husband felt we didn't need a doula since I gave birth before. I'm glad I listened to my intuition because I felt there may be a chance this second pregnancy may not be like the first, and boy...it definitely wasn't! I felt like I was in labor longer. Contractions came and went and Simone provided great tips to progress the contractions. Once we were in the hospital, Simone helped out so much with different positions and coping techniques to deal with the pain. She also got my husband involved with assisting. Simone just goes above and beyond! My husband and I are first time parents and we're looking for our doula to take us through the pregnancy and birth process. We live far away from home, I was at first considered high risk, so we needed the support, especially through this pandemic. Simone was always available by phone, virtual visits for classes. She was thorough, discussing anatomy and birth processes that first time parents are not accustomed to. When it was go time, she NEVER left our side. I hired Simone to help me with my pregnancy and the delivery of my first child. It was pretty late in the pregnancy when I hired her, and I was beginning to have a few complications. This was a scary time and then to add the pandemic to the equation was utter chaos. Simone stepped in and began to work literal miracles. I had to be induced early because of the complications and found out I was Covid positive the day of induction. i began to panic but Simone talked me off the ledge and helped me via cellphone naturally, no c-section, deliver a beautiful and healthy baby girl. Simone was very professional yet felt like a close family member. She made me feel super prepared during my pregnancy, for labor and my 4th trimester. I was worried that we wouldn't be able to afford a doula but Simone was able to work with us. Simone was so good during labor, and I had a long one too! She found the acupressure points that actually triggered contractions for me, and gave me advice about when to increase or decrease pitocin.
