They have an ice cold beer cave in the back of the shop, a gentleman restocking in the area was very friendly, showed me local craft beer as well as beer from other areas of Tennessee and nearby North Carolina. He also showed me an aisle in the store where the beer was not refrigerated for easy transport and also the beer he was restocking. Once I came up to the counter, there was a whiskey tasting going on and a group of people stocking up for the weekend. Happy Hour Wine and Liquor is worth a trip when you're in Cookeville, TN.

When I went to check out, I was told they wouldn't sell me the two bottles of Single Barrel that were marked at $65. The employee even suggested I could "come back and buy them later." I explained that I was from out of state and wouldn't have the chance to return, but they still refused to sell them to me. If the bottles aren't for sale, why are they on the shelf with a price tag? It's disappointing and unprofessional to put something out on display and then refuse to sell it. I expected better service and transparency. As a bourbon enthusiast, I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future and think you should too!! Just to be clear, these were on the shelf where you could grab them yourself they were not behind the counter with all of their overpriced allocated bourbon !!! (Some priced twice secondary prices)
