I stopped in today after doing a little research and wanted to essentially get a 2nd opinion on a quote. The staff was friendly and helpful and was able to squeeze me in for a quick X-ray and exam by Dr. Taylor. His bedside manner was top notch. He has a very calm demeanor and didn't act rushed when he explained things to me. I felt welcome and not judged at all. My research came back with high recommendations for his office and they were 100% correct. I'll post an update after my pre-auth comes thru and I can get the dental work done. read more

Dr. Taylor and his staff are awesome. I don't dread going to the dentist anymore because I know they will take care of me. I came to him a year or so ago, needing a ton of work to get my teeth to a healthy point again. Dr. Elaine Shim is well knowledgeable of her practice, gentle with tool utilization, polite, and personable. She has provided me with an inspection and multiple fillings. She also does not attempt to push products or unnecessary treatments on her patients. Furthermore, her prices are modest - much better than past dentists I have been to. She also noticed an area of concern in my mouth which she referred me to a pleasant and also knowledgeable oral surgeon who I will provide a glowing review for in the coming days. Her office staff is polite and personable as well. I would say the only negative was that the hygienist who recently cleaned my teeth seemed to do a rushed job on the procedure and did not leave my mouth feeling as clean as I have at past dentist offices. They are located in the shopping center off N Green Valley pkwy, next to the Smiths. They are situated in the section most north in the center, right off of Wigwam. The shopping center has easy access to highway 215 and there has always been plenty of parking when I go. Overall, her practice lives up to the family friendly name. read more

I ACTUALLY LOVED GOING TO THE DENTIST! The waiting room was WELCOMING and smelled nice. The receptionist was kind. I was seen right away. Loretta (I think is her name) was friendly and caring. Dr Taylor came in and introduced himself and hes super down to earth and made me feel cared for. Process was pretty quick. I got a cleaning and they fixed my back molar that I had broken a piece of over the holidays. I was dreading the cost and it turned out to be 10 times LESS than I expected. The last dentist I went to told me all the work I needed to have done would cost me $5000 and that was before I broke this tooth. Im telling everyone to go see Dr Taylor! read more

ROUTINE PROCEDURE NOT HANDLED WITH CARE, EXPERIENCE OR DILIGENCE. AVOID IF POSSIBLE. This practice should be avoided if possible, Dr. Shim is pushy and inexperienced. When discussing options for a root canal V.S. an extraction she used analogies like "We should just pull all of your teeth if you are worried they might have problems in the future." and "By your logic, you should not shower in the morning because you are just going to get dirty again.' Her analogies were grossly exaggerated and seemed canned and contrived. Extracting a tooth took 1.5 hours, not including the time it took to convince Dr. Shim to actually agree to pull my tooth. There was a lot of drilling, cutting and my mouth bled for the rest of the day. Five days later and I am still in pain and now also experiencing stomach pains from taking too many ibuprofen pills to try and make it through the work day. According to Dr. Shim, this is to be expected. She suggested I go to an emergency room. read more

We set up an appointment the following day, what a great service form the front staff and the dental assistant. Friendly, courteous and cheerful and very clean area. Dr. Shim is great! I've been a patient of Dr. Shim's for over 13 years. She's taken good care of me and my daughters throughout the years. Always professional, gracious and gentle. I have been seeing Dr. Shim for almost 7 years and my family and I all love her! All of my children feel very comfortable around Dr. Shim and only want to have their dental examinations done by her. My oldest is 16 and has been going to Dr. Shim since he was 7 years old. My youngest is also seven and has just started to see her. Both of my children adore her and going to the dentist is a breeze. She is very punctual with appointment times, very flexible with my children's crazy schedules, and lastly is very gentle when giving check ups to my young ones. Opened my her doors very late and very early to deal with emergency dentistry. I can count on her to answer my call. Very rare in a dentist. From the way Dr. Shim and her staff treated me, I could immediately tell that they genuinely cared about my health and comfort. I originally found Dr. Shim 5 years ago after having a bad experience at a different dental office. At the other office the dentist spent 2 minutes with me. Dr. Shim however was very thorough on her exams, doing most of the exam herself and explaining everything very well along the way.
