Homeowners Beware My experience with this company was…read moreextremely disappointing and stressful. They performed deck work at my home, and the entire process was slow, unprofessional, and poorly managed. During the project, their material supplier sent a certified lien notice to my home because this company failed to pay their bills on time. They also left a large, fully loaded trailer on my property for weeks because their dumping account was unpaid and frozen--completely unacceptable and disruptive. As the job was nearing completion, instead of resolving their internal issues professionally, they began aggressively demanding funds and filed a lien without providing proper notice. To make matters worse, the owner's son retaliated by posting negative reviews on my professional business page, which crossed a serious ethical line. This company demonstrated poor financial management, lack of professionalism, and retaliatory behavior. If you value clear communication, timely work, and ethical business practices, I strongly recommend proceeding with extreme caution--or choosing another contractor entirely.

If you want quality work done right the first time, do not waste your time with this company. Here are some examples with my project: -Using a subcontractor to perform the work, no where in the contract states Boss may use a subcontractor. -Huge mess and not protecting our personal belongings, such as my deck furniture and deck. -Not cleaning up job site at the end of the day. Mess and mud. -Not installing windows level. They installed the window on a plate bolt. Instead of addressing the problem they told me caulk would hide it. -Windows not centered in existing case molding. -Left residue on brand new installed windows. You would think that they would clean them. -Sloppy caulking around the windows. Using our house to clean caulk from fingers. Even missing the top of two window sections. -Flex seal flashing tape done differently from window to window without confident and clear answers of why. -significant financing and billing issues, on more than one occasion. -Late to appointments or no show. Owner, project manager and or receptionist would not have the same information on our project. As you can see, we have encountered a long list of issues with this BOSS and not included them all. While they would always come back to fix the work or "make it right," the sheer number of problems, property damage, miscommunication, and personal loss of time and stress have led us to no longer recommend them. From no-shows on appointments or being late, to property damage and numerous inconsistencies in installation, our experience has been extremely disappointing. We have given BOSS many opportunities to improve their service, but after over a year of working with them, we can no longer stay quiet about our poor experience. We dealt with over five project managers, yet the owner never came to investigate or witness our grievances, even after stating he would.

This is a disappointing review to write because I was initially really happy with them, and the…read moreexperience went downhill pretty quick. We used GM for both siding and exterior paint, at first they were extremely communicative, friendly, and the siding project itself seemed to go fine other than a few mishaps. With the siding, we loved how it looked but the work crew lacked professionalism. They left nails all over our yard, ripped bushes out of the ground on a carefully lined walkway, and pulled our front bushes down so aggressively they've never come back up and will have to be ripped out. The nails were a huge concern because we have a dog, and had we run one over with a mower that could have been dangerous for us as well. Months later we are still finding them. The contractors did compensate us for the bush they trampled. On to the paint. The painting contractors were awful from start to (never really) finished. They were unprofessional, left things in our trees and bushes, left garbage around our house and yard, trampled the bushes we had just replaced from the contractors (we weren't reimbursed this time), moved our fence post to a crooked location that we can't fix. Beyond that, we had a dark gray color with white trim, if you've ever painted over a dark color with white you know you have to have MANY coats to not have seep through of the darker color. For some reason, they painted all of it the dark color and then went over the trim with white, so in many areas you can see the bleed through of the gray. It looks tacky and like we DIY'd it. Additionally, we asked for the garage to be painted white and they painted it dark gray like the house.. when we asked them to fix it, they didn't open it to paint so as soon as we opened the garage it cracked on the bending panel and the insulation came out. I got in contact with the contractors right away and Kara said she would send someone out. She didn't, and that was now almost 3 months ago and they've completely ghosted us with a broken garage. They've also left their porta potty in front of our house this entire time (3 months and counting). Our neighbors across the street also hired them for siding and paint and they've also completely ghosted them for the paint. We initially would have recommended them but they ended up screwing us over so I'd go anywhere else.

Goran and Kara went above and beyond at every step of the way. They delivered top quality work, were always on time, followed through on all promises, provided a porta-potty of the crew, and are honest and good people. I met with dozens of siding and roofing experts in the PDX metro area and made a very calculated choice to work with this company, and I am happy about my decision. I recommend them for anything related to siding, trim or paint.

Before writing this review, I want to note that two previous reviews we posted regarding this experience were removed. Regardless, this review reflects our honest experience and the truth of what occurred during this project. From the beginning, we were led to believe this contractor was trustworthy, qualified, and capable of completing the work professionally. Instead, the project became a cycle of excuses, delays, broken promises, and long periods of being completely ghosted with little to no communication. We were constantly told he was sick, dealing with personal issues, or would "be there tomorrow," yet weeks and months would pass with little meaningful progress. Meanwhile, the house sat exposed because the roof was left off for MONTHS, leading to leaks and water intrusion throughout the home. Watching preventable damage happen in real time while trying desperately to get answers was incredibly frustrating and heartbreaking considering this project was funded with retirement savings. As the person coordinating the project, I spent countless hours trying to keep communication moving, document issues, follow up on promises, rearrange schedules, and salvage a situation that continuously spiraled further out of control. Deadlines came and went repeatedly. Work remained unfinished. Repairs that should have never been necessary became our responsibility. What makes this especially upsetting is that this was not a luxury project or disposable money. This was an elderly woman's retirement plan and future. Instead of feeling excited and secure about her home, she was left anxious, overwhelmed, financially strained, and deeply disappointed. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to thoroughly verify licensing, qualifications, insurance, and past work before hiring. In our experience, the lack of accountability, professionalism, and communication caused serious financial and emotional harm to our family.

This was not extra money for me. This was the only money I had. I invested my retirement savings into this project hoping to create a safe and comfortable home for myself and my family during this chapter of life. Instead, this experience became one of the most devastating and emotionally exhausting situations I have ever gone through. We trusted this contractor because he presented himself as honest, professional, qualified, and dependable. Looking back now, I feel we were lied to repeatedly throughout the process. Communication became incredibly inconsistent. There were long periods where he would completely ghost us with no updates while we were left wondering what was happening to our home and our money. We were constantly told he was sick or unable to show up, yet the project remained unfinished for months and months. The most devastating part was that our roof was left off for MONTHS, exposing the home to the weather and creating leaks throughout the entire house. Watching water damage spread through a home I poured my retirement savings into was absolutely heartbreaking. What should have been a retirement dream turned into constant fear, stress, and financial devastation. Promises were made over and over that things would be fixed or completed, but deadlines came and went with very little progress. We were left with unfinished work, damage to the home, and overwhelming additional expenses that I truly do not know how I will recover from at this stage in my life. As an elderly woman, I feel completely taken advantage of. I deeply regret placing my trust in someone who, in my experience, was dishonest about both the work and what he was truly capable of delivering. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to thoroughly verify licensing, qualifications, and past work before hiring. I would never want another family, especially elderly people, to go through what I have experienced.

Ted fixed it promptly, for a very reasonable price, and without trying to upsell. Several other companies were strongly pitching massive scopes of work (for example, full replacement of siding on one side of the house). The job was made more complicated by the solar panels installed on the patio roof, and Ted and his team were able to efficiently and safely work around them (protect the panels with foam and avoid having to remove the panels and re-install, resulting in significant savings for me). This was a very positive experience, I found Ted to be highly professional and a great communicator. If I need roofing or siding repair or replacement needs in the future I will certainly reach out to Peak Exterior! Highly recommended.
