I do not recommend this company. We hired them for a bathroom remodel. While the end result was OK, the company itself was unprofessional and made promises that were not kept. Pro Reasonable Price Final bathroom came out satisfactory, not superb Electrician was excellent Cons Very Messy Dust everywhere, the garbage was piled up in our garage with promises that it would be removed 'this week' for months. It was so disorganized that you couldn't find the materials for the new bathroom underneath the piles they had put in the garage. Eventually, three months later, we booked the dumpster ourselves because the mess was too much. Very little care put in to reducing dust in the rest of the house. Timeline They said it was a one month project, total time to complete was about 5 months. Incomplete work During the project, it was identified that an existing vent was not vented properly. Ybarra promised to correct it for free, despite us being willing to pay for it. They claimed they would fix it during the project, then closed up the floor and ceiling without fixing the problem. After completion of the project they had not fixed it and claimed they would be back within a few weeks to finish. After ghosting us for months, we convinced them to come back out to take a look at what needed to be completed, they came out, saw that it wasn't a simple fix, and then they ghosted us AGAIN! We now have to have someone else remove the ceiling to fix the problem. Frustrating and unprofessional. It would have been much easier to fix while the ceiling and floors were open. Lack of communication The main company did very little of the actual work - hiring a subcontractor to do the job. Very little communication between the subcontractor and Ybarra. On the occasions that the company representatives came out they just caused more problems - including stepping through the floor and busting through the lower ceiling. Wall not very straight The wall they put up is noticeably crooked. Overall, this was a frustrating process and if we could do it again, we would have hired someone else. Will not be working with this company again. read more

Made it extremely clear that the door needed to match the rest of the home multiple times. By the third time I was told it was a solid wood door and it matched. It wasn't its hollow and yes the deign matches. The caulking wood work and trim work looks bad. I cut out a ton of the electrical and plumbing work from my original idea of this construction. Asked to reevaluate the asking price since I know that the steeper price is for the plumbing and electrical He reply was that "I'm paying for the wood work that were most of the money goes" looks like they had no carpentry skills. When you look them up it says family owned and ran business. The guy that comes out and gives u the bid and the "Forman" don't actually do any hands on they contract all of it. All of it. My guess is they find people off Craigslist to do the small gigs. The Forman never comes by and actually makes sure the quality is quality at all. Never once comes out with a standard to uphold. YOU ARE JUST A NUMBER Cheap supplies Cheap Labor = big paycheck for this company By the end I just needed them gone We are personal having to problem solve the pieced together trim work and sand to make this look somewhat decent I purchased all the items inside the bathroom (sink, light exhaust mirror and I did the floors ) I do not recommend giving your money to this company. My husband and I were shopping around for quite sometime to figure out a good contractor to help us out with our bathroom. Not long after we purchased our home, we discovered two things about the master bathroom: that it was not up to code, and more importantly that we had a serious mold problem in there. There were previous contractors who had helped with demolition and remediation of the mold, but after we wanted to move forward with them to help us with construction they constantly ghosted us. We tried a few other places and just couldn't get the help we were looking for, at least until Ybarra. Once they came in and helped us run an estimate, they said they were ready to help us out immediately. My husband and I were so relieved, and they were extremely flexible in meeting our needs. They were friendly but also professional, keeping us in the loop on what they were doing on each section of the construction, from changing piping, electrical work, and replacing floors. Everyone was helpful and kind, but also very efficient. They also made sure to clean up after the work was done, so if you're concerned about the team leaving behind things like old hardware, that won't happen. I want to say it took no more than maybe 10 days maximum (I admittedly did not keep count) to finish everything, and the results are stunning. Thank you everyone from Ybarra! We had the pleasure to work with Ybarra Professional Builders on back to back projects in our home. Both came out better than we could have envisioned! Our first project was our hallway bathroom. Our project manager Ryan was always on top of things and very attentive to detail. He was always in communication with us and very responsive. The work crew was professional and courteous at all times. They completed the project in the timeframe we discussed and were so very pleased with the final product. Because we were so pleased with the bathroom remodel, we asked Ryan to help us with a kitchen remodel. This was a much bigger project and had more details in scope. We recently had Ybarra Professional Builders do some remodeling in our home. We had a new tiled shower put in our master bathroom. We had new quartz countertops and appliances installed in the kitchen. We had the cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen refinished. And we had the whole house painted on the inside. Mike Haim was our project manager and we appreciated his excellent service and vision. Oswaldo and Ray were our expert workmen and they did the whole project. It was great only having two people come in and out to do the work. The company has all their own workmen and so you don't have someone new for each job. We can't say enough good things about the work that was done and the people who did it. We wouldn't think of calling someone else, if we want something done again. Thanks Mike, Oswaldo and Ray! My review is on their customer service. I called them for a quote on my pool plaster. I had several people call me to set up an appointment, insisting that my wife was also present. I had to set a time when we were both home from work. Eden came out an bid me a fair price for the work and I asked him to write it up. Then his boss called me and wanted to look at the pool. So he came out, again, the schedulers demanded that my wife was present. He said they would do it for the price Eden quoted and told me to work through him. I asked Eden for the quote, and it never came. I followed up with him several times and he basically ghosted me. I never did get a formal quote from them. This lack of a quote and eventual call back was totally unprofessional. Buyer beware! read more

We had a bathtub that was built into the master bedroom! Wanted it removed. Ybarra responded right away with a can do attitude. They were able to start immediately and finished the work in less than three days. The work was great but even better was their honest desire to make us happy. David came in, what started as a kitchen remodel turned into a couple other remodels. My budget lined up with the estimates he gave me and prices stayed constant throughout the length of the project. I was able to get 3 1/2 projects done instead of 1. His assistant Jessica helped pull the project through the small knots and his team came in ready to tackle the tasks. I am extremely disappointed with Ybarra Professional Builders. Despite being on the "Do Not Call" list, I continue to receive unsolicited robocalls from them, outsourced to a third-party company. When I finally spoke to a representative and informed them that their actions were illegal, they rudely hung up on me. It's outrageous that a company would blatantly disregard the law and show such disrespect to potential customers. I strongly advise others to think twice before doing business with a company that demonstrates such unethical behavior. read more

They came by to give a quote, replacing 4 concrete steps and 8' of walk. Worst type of sales person showed up, and gave a starting price of $32k! Then of course made a few phone calls, not certain they actually dialed anything, and got it down to $28k, but only if I took the deal then and there. But wait, they already had two stiffs show up the previous week that quoted me ~$4400. I have the business card from them. Makes me wonder if all these good reviews are real or not. read more

There's only 1 office in Tarzana, CA. They service CA, OR, TX, WA, and CO. Also, if you're in WA and Hindu, don't bother they don't give estimates to Hindu's there. They lie and say contractors are in house. Every contractor is outsourced. They send salesmen to the home as well, not the actual contractor. read more
