First off, I hate it when you go to a cute ice cream shop and they serve Hershey's, or some chain ice cream. This place is not that. They make everything in-house and were great about letting us sample. There was only one person ahead of us in line on a weekday around 3pm. By the time we left, there were a few others behind us. There are some outdoor tables with umbrellas to sit at. They also have some flavors with alcohol in it and I got to taste the Kahlua Espresso, which was excellent. The alcohol was not strong at all. I ended up getting the Reeses Reeses flavor, which was great. You can tell they use top notch ingredients and everything is fairly priced. This is my new favorite ice cream place on 30A! read more

Wow! I was super impressed with this place. We are total foodies, and are often disappointed...but not here! I literally got back in line and ordered more. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that this is the best ice cream shop I've ever been to! Service: all of the employees here are super friendly! They are very outgoing in helping with samples and suggesting flavors. When I asked to sample one flavor, he brought me two samples and said that the other flavor complimented this flavor nicely. I thought it was very cool that the employees were so knowledgeable about their products, and actually cared about their customers. Ice Cream: the ice cream was amazing! I sampled Mint Chocolate Chip and Chocolate, and ended up getting the Skittles flavor! It actually tasted like Skittles. This is a great place for kids and adults alike, because they have so many unique flavors, and even a few spiked ones for adults. My tip is that if you plan on dining at Shunk Gulley (the restaurant right next door) which I highly recommend, go to Pecan Jacks after eating there because Shunk Gulley gives you a 10% off coupon for Pecan Jacks when you pay your check. Best ice cream on the panhandle? Possibly! You walk in the door and your nose is immediately greeted by the smell of fresh waffle cones. Your eyes are welcomed by the beautiful display of homemade candies on the wall that are sold by weight. There was a bit of a line when we arrived, but between a speedy staff, the mesmerizing wall of candy to look at, and the large list of hand dipped ice cream to choose from, the time waiting seemed to pass very fast. I had a scoop of the Elvis (chocolate ice cream, marshmallow, banana, and peanut butter) on an ice cream cone and my wife had a scoop of the Mocha Madness. She claims that the mocha was decent but the Elvis was excellent! (Also their candy selection seems endless as they also make various chocolate eggs, turtles, and pralines.) The location right off the beach is fun with plenty of patio seating if you want to stick around. Instead of getting an ice cream for myself I was shopping for my elderly parents Christmas gift. I explained to Andy (the young man that helped) about my parents issues with hard nut chocolates or real chewy caramels. Andy made some great suggestions and described the candies texture as well the difference in their flavors. He even had me try the ones that I wasn't quite sure about. My family and I came to grab ice cream at around 9:14 and ended up waiting past their close time to get ice cream. We understood that it was past their close by just a few minutes and we were hoping they would be okay serving us as we were the last in line. They denied a customer ice cream who was already inside and made her leave. One male comes up to the door to tell us that they were closed but we told them we were all together as we were a group of people. He replied that it was fine and as we walked into the door, a male with glasses and a beard then told us with an angered tone that they were closed. He then proceeded to cop an attitude with us about how they were closed and insisted that their pos system would shutdown in 10 minutes which never shutdown. The ice cream was good, however the customer service was terrible. The group of teenage boys were even talking trash about us being the last people in line and why we were there. I sampled the Elvis and knew that had to be one of the two scoops. The Elvis is an ice cream of peanut butter, banana and chocolate... absolutely delicious. So I asked the staff what they would recommend of the 21 and up variety and they directed me towards khakis, baileys or the kerrygold chocolate.
