    Pancakes and bacon

Had brunch here; the latte was very good and the pancakes with maple syrup and bacon were glorious! I was actually lured in off the street by the smell of the bacon and it did not disappoint Ambiance was chill and service was lovely.

    Peck 47's outside seating

Peck 47 (aka Woodpecker) is an absolute gem! Their breakfast plates are a dream--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pancakes with fresh fruit were the highlight: fluffy, perfectly cooked, and paired with vibrant, juicy toppings that tasted like sunshine on a plate. The staff was fantastic--warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. Everything felt relaxed yet professional, and you can tell they care about their guests. We will definitely be coming back to Peck 47. If you're in the area and love a great breakfast, this spot is a must-visit!

Eggs Benedict something and a berry pancake i think they were both seasonal.

The service was great, the food was better! There was a small outdoor area we sat outside there no waiting. Its in a busy area lots of people watching.

Really great food and drinks. We wanted to have a breakfast in Belgium and opted for French Toast and Chai Tea. It was delicious. We seated quickly and did not have to wait a long time to be served. The ambience was cozy and cute for a breakfast place.

Just because there are more tourists here than locals doesn't mean it's not worth going. A couple tips: be a smaller party...parties of 2 often get seated within 15 minutes, no matter how long the lines look. Secondly, come earlier or later to avoid the peak rush crush. You'll have a chance to have a "belgian benedict" here as that dish comes with a nice side salad and the eggs are put on mini waffles.

We came here for breakfast and luckily we didn't have to wait. The interior is quite cozy, as is the bathroom. I ordered the magic mushroom, which is basically an eggs Benedict over a waffle. It was tasty and filling. I also enjoyed a healthy juice.

Peck Special - chorizo waffle with bacon and peck sauce is like slightly spicy hollandaise.

Always a line to get a table as it is in a tourist spot but it's worth the wait and the que move quickly. The staff was fantastic and friendly. Food came out hot and fast. The peck special was good and golden latte was on point.

We came here on a Wednesday morning. We got seated outside since the was the only table left unless we want to wait until the inside opens up. It was a pretty risky move for us because the weather in Brussels at that time was wishy washy. We had to wait a while for the server to take our order because they are going by the order of people who came in. I must say the price here was pretty decent and the food was delicious. If I were to come back to Belgium, I would definitely come back.

Love the food here. Cappuccino is great too. Cozy environment. I would recommend this place.

Drawn here because it was one few places in the area that offered a more savory take on the liege waffle. Drunken sailor is a sort of eggs benedict over waffles with smoked salmon as protein. The magic mushroom is similar, but swap salmon for mushrooms. Both incredibly tasty - the mushrooms tasted a little like truffles. And the salmon had a strong, smokey flavor. Eggs poached perfectly and the waffle gave everything a nice crunchy texture. The greens served on the side we're actually pretty flavorful, an interesting mix of bitter and mild varieties. The pancakes were served with a tasty blend of local berries. The dollop of white stuff is actually a white chocolate ganache. So good combined with the berry sauce.

This place prepares some amazing dishes that are presented with classy creativity. My wife ordered a savory three cheese, poached egg and waffle dish that I had the pleasure of sampling and I had the avocado toast dish, both were prepared perfectly and delicious! Good service and a very comfortable atmosphere made for an amazing meal. Definitely recommended.

Great food. We order waffle salmon and waffle with chicken and they were delicious. Waffles were so fresh and was cut like butter.

I cannot even describe what I ate just look at it... so good and the coffee was nice and foamy too

Subject: Complaint Regarding Customer Treatment at Le Pain Quotidien - Brussels Airport (24 June…read more2026) I am writing to express my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred at Le Pain Quotidien in the departure hall of Brussels Airport on 24 June 2026 at approximately 7:05 PM. My family and I were accompanied had chosen this establishment to enjoy a coffee together and say goodbye before our family members departed. Due to our respective professions, we are often separated for extended periods. , opportunities to spend time together are limited and particularly meaningful. As the restaurant's advertised closing time was 8:00 PM, we reasonably expected to be able to remain for a short while and enjoy a coffee together. Shortly after we sat down, an employee approached us and informed us that we had to leave because she wanted to begin cleaning the area. I politely explained in French that there were still approximately 55 minutes remaining before closing time and asked whether we could stay for a few more minutes to finish saying goodbye to our family. The employee continued insisting that we leave. I repeatedly asked her to leave us alone for a few minutes so that we could spend our final moments together as a family. However, she continued the discussion and did not respect our request. I would also like to note that French is not my native language. The staff member appeared to communicate exclusively in French, which created a significant communication barrier. Unfortunately, this may have contributed to the misunderstanding and the inappropriate manner in which I was addressed. What made the situation even more confusing was that other customers in the same area were left undisturbed and allowed to remain seated. The apparent difference in treatment was difficult for us to understand. The repeated interruptions eventually created an uncomfortable and tense atmosphere. Out of frustration, I made a firm remark asking to be left alone so that we could continue our farewell. The employee apparently considered this remark to be insulting and decided to call the police. When the police officers arrived, I calmly explained the situation. After listening to our explanation, they simply advised us to have our coffee elsewhere. What surprised us most was that other customers remained in the restaurant and continued to be served. Furthermore, at approximately 7:45 PM, only fifteen minutes before the official closing time, I personally observed the same employee serving another customer two beers. This raises a legitimate question: if the establishment was still serving customers at 7:45 PM, why were we being pressured to leave already at 7:05 PM? Our disappointment is not related to cleaning procedures or closing preparations. We fully understand that staff members have duties to perform before closing.Although asking us to leave 55 minutes before closing time is exaggerating early! Rather, our concern is with the manner in which the situation was handled and the apparent lack of courtesy, empathy and customer service shown towards us. We were simply trying to spend a few final moments with family members before their departure. A small amount of flexibility and understanding would have completely avoided this unpleasant incident. I also find it particularly concerning that the employee chose to involve the police after I had repeatedly requested only a brief opportunity to complete our farewell. From my perspective, the situation escalated unnecessarily. Rather than allowing us a few minutes to finish saying goodbye, the repeated insistence that we leave led to an avoidable confrontation and ultimately police involvement. The treatment we experienced felt both disproportionate and inconsistent with the standards of hospitality that customers expect from Le Pain Quotidien. I am genuinely curious whether Le Pain Quotidien considers it acceptable that certain customers are asked to leave almost an hour before closing while others are allowed to remain and continue receiving service in the same LPQ area!. I filed an official complaint about this harassement by LPQ staffmember!

Since it was a little after opening, there was a lot of seating available both outside and in. The Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert location was already impressive with its 1800s glass enclosed shopping arcade but we opted for inside seating to be surrounded by the beautiful woodwork and colorful panels of the restaurant. Staff were friendly and service was leisurely which allowed us to linger even after we finished our drinks and waffle. They served both Brussels and Liege waffles that could be customized with your choice of toppings or a bunch of set combos. We decided to share a liege waffle with stewed strawberries and it wowed us. We loved the sweetness from those unusual stewed strawberries (looked no different to us) on top of the crunchy and caramelized liege waffle. It was the perfect pairing and worth the splurge. We also appreciated the large glasses of cold lattes which provided a much need jolt of caffeine on an already quite warm morning (June heatwave throughout Europe). One knit pick was the table we chose wobbled a lot but with a folded napkin underneath temporarily stabilized it.

We walked around the block a bit, but could not find a spot that really caught out eye. After a quick Google search around where we were, we ended up chosing this place because we loved the name. The interior of the restaurant definitely screams "Instagram-worthy" but it felt on brand. I mean, it's a restaurant that features avocados! Well, I ordered a bun burger (the "buns" are actually avocado halves) and it was definitely a very creative and delicious choice. It definitely was not as ~basic~ as an avocado toast. In fact, I was pleasantly shocked at how full I was after the meal. Only thing that I will critique were the "nachos" that came on the side. When I hear "nachos," I think of a pretty heavily loaded plate of chips and loads of toppings... or is that because I'm just thinking of Americanized nachos? I was laughing at the singular beans that were neatly placed on top of the small globs of sour cream (see picture). Overall, I'm very glad that we stumbled upon this place. The owner is so passionate and friendly and tries to strike up a conversation with every single customer, no matter where they're from. I thought the customer service was next level. As for the sandwich, I want to preface that I don't eat regular sandwiches. I'm super picky and usually just get meat and cheese. NOTHING else. So his sandwiches weren't really my style. They looked very good but I know I wouldn't enjoy it if I just ordered off the menu. He puts a ton of fruits and cheeses into your sandwich and asks a bunch of questions of what you like before putting it together. I went for a blue cheddar cheese and since I wasn't getting anything else, he cut a gigantic chunk for my sandwich. The only downside is I think the only meat he uses is small salami slices. He put in triple the amount he usually puts but the cheese still took over the whole sandwich (I ended up buying more meat from the grocery store to fill it up). Every sandwich he makes is the same price and comes with a drink. I wanna say that his normal sandwiches are probably amazing. Mine was okay after I added all the meat into it. I also didn't eat it right away. But I think the customer service itself should receive 5 stars.
