Peck 47 (aka Woodpecker) is an absolute gem! Their breakfast plates are a dream--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pancakes with fresh fruit were the highlight: fluffy, perfectly cooked, and paired with vibrant, juicy toppings that tasted like sunshine on a plate. The staff was fantastic--warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even better. Everything felt relaxed yet professional, and you can tell they care about their guests. We will definitely be coming back to Peck 47. If you're in the area and love a great breakfast, this spot is a must-visit!
The service was great, the food was better! There was a small outdoor area we sat outside there no waiting. Its in a busy area lots of people watching.
Really great food and drinks. We wanted to have a breakfast in Belgium and opted for French Toast and Chai Tea. It was delicious. We seated quickly and did not have to wait a long time to be served. The ambience was cozy and cute for a breakfast place.
Just because there are more tourists here than locals doesn't mean it's not worth going. A couple tips: be a smaller party...parties of 2 often get seated within 15 minutes, no matter how long the lines look. Secondly, come earlier or later to avoid the peak rush crush. You'll have a chance to have a "belgian benedict" here as that dish comes with a nice side salad and the eggs are put on mini waffles.
We came here for breakfast and luckily we didn't have to wait. The interior is quite cozy, as is the bathroom. I ordered the magic mushroom, which is basically an eggs Benedict over a waffle. It was tasty and filling. I also enjoyed a healthy juice.
Always a line to get a table as it is in a tourist spot but it's worth the wait and the que move quickly. The staff was fantastic and friendly. Food came out hot and fast. The peck special was good and golden latte was on point.
We came here on a Wednesday morning. We got seated outside since the was the only table left unless we want to wait until the inside opens up. It was a pretty risky move for us because the weather in Brussels at that time was wishy washy. We had to wait a while for the server to take our order because they are going by the order of people who came in. I must say the price here was pretty decent and the food was delicious. If I were to come back to Belgium, I would definitely come back.
Drawn here because it was one few places in the area that offered a more savory take on the liege waffle. Drunken sailor is a sort of eggs benedict over waffles with smoked salmon as protein. The magic mushroom is similar, but swap salmon for mushrooms. Both incredibly tasty - the mushrooms tasted a little like truffles. And the salmon had a strong, smokey flavor. Eggs poached perfectly and the waffle gave everything a nice crunchy texture. The greens served on the side we're actually pretty flavorful, an interesting mix of bitter and mild varieties. The pancakes were served with a tasty blend of local berries. The dollop of white stuff is actually a white chocolate ganache. So good combined with the berry sauce.
This place prepares some amazing dishes that are presented with classy creativity. My wife ordered a savory three cheese, poached egg and waffle dish that I had the pleasure of sampling and I had the avocado toast dish, both were prepared perfectly and delicious! Good service and a very comfortable atmosphere made for an amazing meal. Definitely recommended.
Great food. We order waffle salmon and waffle with chicken and they were delicious. Waffles were so fresh and was cut like butter.
Just wow. Five stars for a savory waffle breakfast that they call "Drunken Sailor." Waffle topped with smoked salmon and poached eggs and then hollandaise sauce. Un-damned-believeable perfect breakfast. As good as it gets. Service was good with menus in English and a fab coffee. read more

This place serves breakfast all day and has a good purpose. I needed to be somewhere in the morning and most of the restaurants open for a later breakfast. Peck 47 was the only place that I could on Yelp in close proximity to my hotel that opened early enough. This a quaint little place with some flair on the walls. They play cool music in here. My colleague and I perused the menus and saw some plates that had waffles on them. At that point I had not had a waffle in Belgium yet so hankering a good waffle. I ordered a plate with bacon, waffles and poached eggs and was surprised to see the tiniest waffles I had ever seen in my life and my breakfast was served with a salad. I can't remember ever eating a salad for breakfast before. My meal was OK but my waffle expectations were not met. This meal was not bad but this place was open when I needed it to be. Came here twice during my time in Brussels bc the food was that tasty for brunch and never failed! We were seated quickly even tho the restaurant was filled with guests. Great service, hip background music, and cool decor. Fair brunch selection mainly of different waffle and poached eggs combos. I'd say the portion size was just right - the meals are filling, but you don't feel super stuffed. If you're visiting from out of town, you'll see that this restaurant is in a great location. read more
Overall, not bad. The waitress was nice. The food was fairly good, except that all of our orders had an over cooked poached egg. When you get a poached egg, cutting it in half and having the yolk run through the rest of the food is the best part. But you can't do that with a hard yolk. The hollandaise sauce was sort of bland. But the waffles were crispy and the bacon was cooked perfectly. The food took longer than expected, maybe close to an hour to arrive. Thank God we snacked on some waffles from the waffle factory on our way here haha. So we weren't starving thus just calmly waited for the food. read more

First time visiting this city and stopped here for brunch. Came in a little after they opened and was seated right away. I decided to try their dirty golden latte which is consist of tumeric, ginger, coffee and almond milk. So yummy! Their homemade apple juice was delicious too! We ordered the peck special which is a savory chorizo waffle with bacon and poached eggs and their egg Benedict. Great portions and delicious. Their eggs are from a local farm which I love as I raise my own chicken and have fresh eggs daily. The place got packed after half an hour being here with a line out the door waiting for seating! Such a great place to eat- I would eat here everyday! read more

Over-cooked eggs, average breakfast food, slow service and good coffee We were really excited to try this brunch spot based on all the great reviews, but it wasn't what we expected. Our breakfast items (eggs Florentine and the cheesy one) were both average. Our poached eggs were over-cooked and the yolks were not runny. My boyfriend ordered a mixed drink and could not drink it, because it was way too strong. The coffee and juice were both good. We were seated quickly, but it took a while to order our food. And our drinks came at the same time as the food. read more
With a brand resembling the Twitter bird, you'd expect Peck 47 patrons to be tweeting up a storm about their great brunch items and juices. Unfortunately I can only advocate for the later because this was sadly a huge disappointment in our Brussels food tour. Yelp gave some great reviews for Peck 47 and since it was so centrally located, we decided it would be our next spot for breakfast before checking out the surrounding area. During a weekday, the restaurant was still very packed with a small wait if you arrive after it opens. We were seated next to the windows which did provide a nice ambience for our experience. Food wise though- definitely pricy and bland for a lack of better word. Their waffle Benedict creations were so disappointing and we had high hopes since we were in Brussels. To start, my Drunken Sailor (€13) came with some incredibly bland smoked salmon on top of a soggy flat waffle. The flavors did not blend well and it felt way overpriced for what we got. The fresh squeezed juices however helped to redeem Peck just a bit. My carrot/orange/apple/ginger smoothie ended up being a saving point for what was a pretty meh meal. Perhaps their other brunch options reign supreme over their waffles, so I'd recommend giving those a try instead if you stop by. read more

This place is now one of my favorite breakfast places in Brussels... and it's not only my favorite place... everyone loves it, so be ready for a short wait. However, if you vist after peek hours, you might get lucky and be seated immediately. The servers were friendly and incredibly good at accommodating our needs in English. Our server was patient, kind and generous and she suggested I'd try 'The Cheesy One', which is what I did. A leek waffle, two poached eggs with the 'psycho sauce', veggies and cheddar cheese. And what a great suggestion she gave! I loved it! My leek waffle was delicious, absolutely delicious. The psycho sauce is a spicy hollandaise sauce that was exquisite. I'm a lover of spicy foods and the sauce is best described as a gentle fire burning on top of a still lake. Perfect. The eggs were wonderfully poached, runny on the inside and firm enough on the outside. The veggies on the side were basic but a good add on to the entire dish. I suggest you order some bread on the side, which is served warm, if you're a big eater- such as myself. The environment is clean and cosy, a beautiful balance between urban and hipster. Strong eye for detail! Look around the space and you'll be amused with the random quotes, info and animations. They have a single toilet non gender specific. Just make sure you leave it clean ;-) A tip for the restaurant: perhaps, allow the customer to decide wether they want a full waffle or half a waffle. I could have easily eaten the entire waffle as the 2 pieces are quite tiny. Surely will revisit when back in Brussels! read more

The food and the staff here were great! The we ordered breakfast and it was really good. The bathroom was also very clean. The staff were so friendly and even offered us a sample of something. I would go back, also the general feel of the place was nice. read more

My first meal in Belgium could not have been any more hipster cliche if I tried: organic cheesy waffles with a mochaccino. Yeah, I wasn't kidding. Peck 47 was spotless. Very modern, casual and welcoming feel. Bright and airy. Tables spaced comfortably apart. Very nice servers. Other solo diners too, which made me feel even better. It didn't take too long for my food to come out. The waffle was seriously delicious. I could've eaten a second helping. My mocha was pretty good as well. A very nice spot for a quick but wholesome breakfast in Brussels' center, indeed. read more
I am so happy I found this place for brunch while I was in Brussels! It was hard for my hubby and I to find a place that made eggs Benedict and when we found peck we were excited! The food here is amazing! The service was great. After 3 minutes of sitting, we were asked to move our seat for a large table of 8 people. It was no big deal at all. But the barista sent us over two free expresso shots. Cool!!! As far as the food, the eggs Benedict on waffles is the way to go. Their psycho sauce was on point. The sauce was creamy with a hint of spice and heat. It did not make me miss the more traditional sauce I'm used to back home. I also recommend their freshly squeezed orange juice. It comes in a cute mason jar accompanied by cute paper straws. read more
Peck 46 is a good brunch place with mainly Benedict options. I tried their sausage Benedict which was OK and their peck special which was pretty good. Overall, it was a decent place but pretty pricey. We were charged for water which is typical in Belgium but it really hiked up our bill. If you plan on coming here, I suggest coming as close to when they open as possible. There was a line out the door an hour after they opened. read more
This was the best experience having poached eggs for the first time in my life. Definitely try the Peck's special (€11). My friend had the freddo cappuccino (iced). This is such a cute place but it's always packed. There was a 10 minute wait but with good reason. The food and service was impeccable! read more
This is a solid brunch place, and I can understand why it's a tourist favorite. The bright yellow and red tables are as photogenic as the poached-egg topped waffles. I came on our last day in Brussels with my three friends and at 9:30 am it was very easy to grab a table outside. The menu has some decent choices beyond eggs benedict and savory waffles, including smoothies and salads. I would expect to spend about 15 euros or so on food, and another 5 for coffee. We had three of the brunch waffles, and all of the fillings were pretty good. I didn't love the "psycho sauce," which just tasted like a sriracha mayo, but otherwise no complaints. My smoothie bowl was pretty disappointing-- although pretty, the consistency was really thin and it didn't have much flavor. All of our coffees were also good. The pacing was pretty quick; we were in and out in 30 - 40 minutes. Service was fine and bathroom was clean. There is also free wifi. read more

Peck 47 is a restaurant situated in the heart of Brussels, very accessible for tourists staying in the city. Walking in, we immediately fell in love with the aesthetics of this beautiful place. As you step foot into the restaurant, you are welcomed by the magnificent cafe setting of the restaurant, a beautiful combination of natural and modern art aesthetics. The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering all-day brunch items, lunch and dinner options as well as cafe items. We ordered the Peck Special, and The Cheesy One, both with poached eggs, on delicious waffles. They were served with the most exquisite sauce, a perfect combination of spice and flavour. This was really thrilling especially as we had been feeling discouraged about all the bland, flavourless food we had been eating on our Europe tour. The psycho sauce just filled our hearts (we wanted to bottle it up and take it back with use!!!!) All the cuisines were fresh and refreshing. The drinks are surely worth trying. We had the most amazing cakes for dessert; the carrot cake and the pistachio & white chocolate. And let me tell you, they are to die for! Overall, I can't find fault in this place: food is phenomenal, location is convenient and the price is reasonable. Because of the brilliant atmosphere and delicious food service, I highly recommend going to Peck 47. read more
The idea is wonderful, but the execution is poor. The service overall was poor. We asked to have the eggs on black wheat bread and the server said they don't have any other bread and cannot help us so we ordered the Veggie Brunch, Veggie Peck Special and eggs Hemingway. When we received our order, we noted that the Veggie Brunch came with delicious black bread on the side. It would have been extremely easy to place our eggs Hemingway on top of even or just next to that same black bread. The Veggie brunch was suppose to come with spinach and portobello mushrooms. The waffles were drowning in spinach and there was absolutely no taste of mushrooms. Another quick note, the coffee is huge which is great for those from US like myself that are used to drinking larger mugs. However, the type of coffee is very specific to taste so be aware. read more
I found Peck 47 when looking for a brunch spot before leaving Brussels. It's a super cute (and hipster) spot. I started with the basil, vanilla, and honey smoothie which was out of this world. My husband got the fresh squeezed orange juice which was tasty but he liked my smoothie better. We ordered the drunken sailor (smoked salmon under eggs Benedict on English muffins) and the Peck special which was poached eggs, bacon, waffles, and a slightly spicy sauce. It was all super delicious and filling. We really enjoyed our meal and service was relatively quick. My husband even got a slice of the carrot cake for dessert and loved it. It isn't cheap while also not being overly expensive. The quality of the food definitely shows. Would absolutely recommend Peck 47 if you're looking for a sweet brunch spot! I can see why the locals love it. read more

This place seems to be popular among tourists. Once I arrived in Brussels I quickly decided to go to this brunch place due to it's presence on Google. Typically, I'm selective and prepare in advance when eating out. Since I was starving upon arrival, this is where I landed. The menu is on the pricey side, however this might reflect on the quality of the food. I went with eggs Benedict. Not so long ago I had mouthwatering eggs Benedict for the first time. I was hoping for that flavorful savory experience again. Though the ingredients are fresh and natural, I failed to recognize the eggs Benedict was on an English muffin and not on a biscuit (like the one I had before). The Veggie Brunch in my opinion did no meet the standard of my first eggs Benedict. I do appreciate the variety of items on the menu. I wish I would've tried one of their natural smoothies or juices. For the equivalent of 13 dollars, I would try looking elsewhere. If you're doing your research and want to stop by because of the cozy atmosphere in the pictures I would recommend you simply order a drink. Everything else is pretty bland (it's the equivalent to eating a salad with no dressing), and in my opinion overpriced. Overall, it doesn't hurt to try this restaurant if you honestly cannot find something else. However, the only reason I wasn't a fan is because; I have had 10x better. The employees were still respectful and service was on par. read more

Stopped by this place because we wanted salty waffles. There was a lineup but we only waited 20 minutes outside. However when we sat down, it took 20 minutes before the waitress came to take our order. She was quite unfriendly. We then waited another 20 minutes before getting our food and drinks. We took the waffle with poached eggs and salmon / bacon and the cuban sandwhich. The poached eggs were a bit overcooked, but the sauce was delicious. The cuban sandwhich had too much horse radish/mustard on it and my friend couldn't finish it. The hot chocolate and latte were good. Overall the food is ok, but it ressembles a typical canadian/american brunch restaurants. The service is suuuuper slow and the staff aren't friendly. Wouldn't come back. read more

If you love poached eggs and waffles, this is a must-try breakfast/brunch spot. My recommendation: show up when they open. My husband and I arrived at 9:05am (5 minutes after they opened) and we were the second couple in the place. However, by 30 minutes there was a line standing in the cold outside waiting to eat. Service was good and our waffles were delicious. I am picky about letting other people cook my eggs but the poached eggs were done PERFECTLY. The portion size was just what we needed in order to get going on our last morning in Brussels. Highly recommended. read more

The BEST poached eggs I have eaten so for in my life! We came in on Labor Day (May 1) around 10:30 and there was already a line of three parties waiting to sit. After about 10 minutes wait, we got a table. However, by the time we got in, the wait had tripled. The outside seating area was open, but the temperature was cool so only one couple opted to sit outside. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been a line. I got The Sailor - leek waffle topped with gin-cured salmon, 2 poached eggs, and psycho sauce. There is nothing I can say that would describe it - it was the best brunch/breakfast item I've ever eaten. The eggs were cooked just right, the salmon was fresh and meaty (not thin sliced), the waffle was warm. My friend thought the same of his dish. I give 4 stars for one reason, the place is understaffed. There were two waitstaff for the 40 people seated inside and the now 6 people outside (which there could be another 15-20 people seated outside). Don't get me wrong, they were working their best and very pleasant, but 23 diners to one server does not bode well. Despite the lack of waitstaff (but still pleasant servers), and the possible long wait, do not skip this place. Their creative food and drink items will surely be a brunch highlight of your visit to Brussels! read more

This was a lovely escape from the crowds and the cold. We came here twice during our visit to Brussels. The first time we got hot chocolate and a charcoal latte. The second time we got hot chocolate again, a cappuccino, and pistachio & white chocolate cake. Everything we had was delicious. They play lovely music, and the atmosphere in general is very relaxed. They have a WC for customers which is great since you have to pay to use restrooms around the area. I didn't try any other food but it all looks really well made and flavorful. They serve breakfast all day which is nice for those of us who enjoy a lie in :) they also have free tap water which is virtually unheard of here. I recommend a visit for all the reasons listed above. read more

We tried to grab lunch here a couple of days ago, but the place was packed with many waiting. Went back today and had a wonderful meal. The burger is amazing. Fun selection of beers. My daughter had the chorizo waffles with bacon and poached eggs. Would definitely go back and try something new if we were going to be around longer! read more

DUDE. This place was amazing. They were incredibly welcoming- I was traveling with my big jet-lagged American family, and they were very understanding. Most of us ordered brunch, which was AMAZING. They have the best poach eggs and savory waffles, not to mentioned their revamped chipotle hollandaise sauce. I'm virtually drooling now thinking about it... The drinks were awesome too. Their specialty ice teas are great and their coffee drinks are pretty decent too. read more
After reading all the great reviews, I was disappointed by the food here. To me, it was just like any other typical American restaurant. I ordered the Peck Special for €14- kind of expensive if you ask me. The good part about it was the goat cheese and the poached eggs being cooked nicely. The psycho sauce was also pretty good. My friend ordered the Peck Burger and the potatoes. The burger looked quite juicy and had a brioche buns. I had some of the potatoes, and they were nothing special. Overall, I think this restaurant is overhyped, but if you want some brunch food late at night, it's a good choice. read more

I had family visiting and took them here for brunch. The food was great and the queue moved fast. It is a little on the pricey side for what you get, but I think that comes with the trendy brunch territory. Would recommend for visitors or catching up with special friends. read more

Peck 47 is well known for its brunching options - especially as Brussels isn't known for its Sunday activities - so if you're heading here, be prepared to queue. We waited for roughly 30/40 minutes to get in but, seeing as morning meals don't seem to be the Belgian specialty, you'll find the same at most places. Although it felt like a while to wait, staff were super efficient at taking down numbers and moving tables and chairs to accommodate. If you're a large group, don't be surprised if some of the smaller tables go in first (yes, table of seven stood in front of us, I'm looking at you) - there's some more fixed seating in the window and they're naturally going to be wanting to fill these quickly. Once we were sat at one of the aforementioned window tables, we quickly looked over the menu; seeing as it was basically lunchtime at this point, we had a wider selection to choose from. So alongside brunch and breakfast, there was also an array of sandwiches and bigger plates. I opted for the sausage sandwich which, although listed on the lunch menu, is naturally a favourite breakfast staple. Served with a small side of pea soup, it was really warming on an otherwise chilly day and perfect when washed down with a mimosa and iced tea. To me, Peck 47 had a really nice homely feel, where you can spy into the kitchen and the staff treat everyone like locals. Worth the wait. read more

I was looking for a breakfast/brunch place while I was in Brussels and I'm so glad I found this place. I went early in the morning so it was nice and quiet. I ordered the Pecks Special with a cup of black coffee. The savory waffle was great and it paired really well with the bacon and psycho sauce! The cup of coffee was also great too:) Overall, this is a great place to come when you want to try savory waffles instead of the famous Belgium waffles! read more

Best meal I've had in Brussels - great cappuccino, a chorizo goat cheese waffle, a well dressed salad. Even the Bloody Mary was great - awesome atmosphere too! Would come back read more
