I left a review before, but I don't see it. Pedal Forward ruined one of our best days at Yosemite. They are nowhere near the park, as the website states. The nearest entrance is 12 miles away, and Yosemite Valley is 30 miles. So make sure you can transport the bikes, because if you cancel day of, they take half your money. Do your research. From the start of our experience renting a bike to the very last minutes handing the bikes back off at the bike shop, Mike modeled professionalism and kindness. The experience started with an online bike reservation that was seamless in large part due to Mike calling me back after I tried to get ahold of the shop to confirm that I had not needed any further details --which was greatly appreciated as I had wanted to clarify the sizing. We had a great experience. The bikes were excellent, way way way better than what is available in the park. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They helped install the bike rack and expertly got the bikes ready and explained everything. When I called to reserve, a staff member even offered to deliver the bikes to us on his day off. The guys at Pedal Forward saved my bike vacation over a holiday weekend with a last minute brake repair, replacing my worn pads, bleeding the front brake, and straightening the rotor. I had driven about 4.5hrs to meetup with friends, camp, and ride, but realized my brake pads had gotten bumped out while the bike was in storage without the wheel installed. Awesome bike team. We went in to the shop and Jorge helped us out. He was very knowledgeable on what we needed for the trails. Him and his business partner had gave us information on what trails to go for first timers. We rented 3 mountain bikes and a bike rack. He had suggested Jackson St over by Tenaya lodge. Took our bikes to get tubes changed here. Will be our go to bike shop from now on. Went to big 5 for tubes to change ourselves but they didn't have the sizes we needed so we came in to this shop. This has got to be the best bicycle store in the county. My girlfriend and I were on the way to Yosemite with our bicycles. My girlfriend forgot her helmet and was looking to buy one. The owner just gave her an old rental helmet for free. On our way back, we stopped to return the helmet. Nadine wanted a more comfortable bicycle seat. The owner sold us a new, open package, padded bicycle seat for ten bucks. He cut the seat shaft so it could adjusted lower and totally tuned up her bicycle. We were staying in the town of Oakhurst for our week visiting Yosemite. Upon getting ready to go on a bike ride we realized one of our tires deflated. Weren't sure if it was shot or just a slow leak. Things we liked: 1) Bikes are practically brand new! Amazing condition and we had a fantastic time biking across Yosemite Valley with them. 2) Big one: Mike opened the store especially for us on Thanksgiving morning! 3) We ended up renting 2 bikes paying for one day but returned them later than due to unexpected traffic that got us delayed on our return from Yosemite.
