I told them at the service department that the bike would not shift gears going up, that the shifter only worked right when downshifting. Imagine my surprise when they text me less than three hours later saying my bike is ready. It seemed OK, they asked me to ride it in the parking lot. It was 5:50, and they closed in ten minutes. The bike shifted OK for a couple of cycles up and down. As much as I was happy to get the bicycle back the same day, I was not happy after riding it several time and from gears five thru eight still trouble upshifting. I truly wish they had kept the bike until Tuesday, maybe the bike would shift properly. I did not need to get my bicycle back fast as much as I needed to get my bicycle back FIXED.

The employee showed me both options and informed me of pricing. Next day I picked up my bicycle mid day the next day and it is riding perfectly again. Value? Well, it was OK I guess but they did charge me a $20 premium because "it is an electric bike". Makes no difference when replacing a tube on the front tire, just a BS surcharge. My tire tube and wheel on the front are the same as any other generic bicycle that comes thru the shop that has no electric assist. They charge extra because they can, I guess.
