TOOK bike in for repairing a flat at 645 odometer miles. Danny insisted I leave the bike at Pedago, claimed it needed 1,000 miles service/ safety inspection.(I had just paid him for that service a few months prior.) Bike, when I left it at Pedago in Dana Point, was working fine,less than a year old just never went up inclines at less than 4 bars on battery--- which Danny falsely claimed it was capable of at ALL battery levels). Another of Danny's lies. When I brought the bike in in April 2024 it worked ok and still looked new, it was returned to me dirty , HAD NO FUNCTIONING BRAKES,would not even slow down when I pressed the hand brakes upon the first time I rode it after his "safety/service" . COMPLETE IDIOT! Then he would not return my 2 texts nor 2 phone messages and a written letter asking him what was going on with my trike and refused to answer the phone when I called him during business hours. Save your money and possibly your own life by getting service done elsewhere. Danny, your response is another set of lies. You sabotaged my etrike in April 2024 . Your " service" that you charged me over $100 for in April 2024 could not have been done at all since the brake pads were the original pads both front and rear and worn and never replaced during ANY service you charged me for and the chain was not even oiled by YOU ever. The only Pedago store I have ever been to for service is yours in Dana Point, so stop trying to damage other Pedago dealers with your vindictive,irresponsible actions. The fact that in court you falsely claimed I rode the trike too hard is PATHETIC. I have 3 herniated discs , ride slowly on the sidewalk to avoid any jiggling and take care of all of my means of transportation . I have a 2023 Tacoma that looks like new and I used to have a Pedago e-trike that looked like new until you damaged it as "payback" for leaving an honest review about the lack of power your e-trikes have. read more

We're not new to biking to get around town, but wanted to upgrade from "regular" beach cruisers to ebike beach cruisers so we could cover more ground - primarily the hills. One of the main reasons we chose Pedego over other (cheaper) ebikes is that the Pedego battery is not made in China, it's made in Japan, the bikes have both pedal assist and a throttle and even more importantly the shop is local. It's a hilly area, which was exactly what we needed to have confidence that the bikes would be able to handle hills in the area we'll be riding in the most. My wife's Boomerang needed a tune up on the derailleur out of the gate, which was a little disappointingly, but Danny helped us get that taken care of within a week. I've waited 3 months and 1,000 miles to write this review. I wanted to give context beyond just the time of purchase. That being said, I couldn't be more pleased with my bike and my experience with Dana Point Pedego. I bought the Element Platinum and I must say I get looks and compliments everywhere I go. The bike has lived up to my expectations and more. It's my daily commuter to work and back as well as my weekend cruiser. I love putting my 5 yr old son on the back and going wherever the road takes us. Pedego prides itself on its warranty and customer service and that's exactly what you'll get at DP Pedego. Danny couldn't be more friendly and enthusiastic about setting you up with the perfect bike for you. He is extremely easy to build rapport with and not only does he address me by name every time I see him, he also remembers my wife and son's names and asks about them too. (A quality that has been lost in this day and age). Since purchase I've had a few minor tweaks done to the bike, a flat fixed and a 500 mile warranty tune up. Each visit has been quick and painless and I've been treated like a member of the Pedigo family. We contacted Danny at Pedego and set up an appointment to check out their electric bikes for sale. We went up the street to a bike shop and within 10m of my VM, the owner called me back and said he had an appointment in 20m so he could squeeze us in. It was such an amazing last minute accommodation. Well we knew what we wanted and he happened to have a delivery that day of two identical e bikes that my husband and I wanted so we were in and out in under 15m. He promised us that our bikes would be built within 2 hours and then got the call less than 90m later. They are the make expensive bikes we have ever owned but they are of a phenomenal quality. I have two RAD bikes and my buddy accidentally stuck the key into the charger area and blew the battery. we spent an hour with customer service and got nowhere nor could they even tell us how to get the battery off the bike. What a great experience!!! Danny I assume owns the place and he's on his game. I had been to another Pedego store and rode an ebike I thought looked interesting, the Ridge Rider, kind of hybrid, shocks on front, hard tail. The bike was powerful but uncomfortable. I was on a mission heading for stores in Dana Point and San Clemente to replace my stolen beach transportation so I stopped into the Pedego to take another look. Danny had upgraded the Ridge Rider with handle bar riser, more comfortable seat, compression sat post and a rack over back wheel for a package price. When I took it for a spin, it was exactly what I was looking for. I bought it on the spot and he delivered it to my house later that day. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and love the bike and the experience, highly recommend Danny and DP Pedego. Now serious dirt guys might not like all the cushy stuff but then they probably buy full suspension mountain bikes. PS: wasn't always a Pedego fan, thought their bikes were too middle of the road, this one rocks. read more

I haven't ridden a bike since 1976, so I was a bit apprehensive about jumping onto some new fangled electric contraption and dashing about in traffic and up-and-down hills! However, upon arriving at Pedego, Danny immediately put my fears to rest. He's very good at listening and answering the most mundane questions with verve and enthusiasm. He also provided simple, yet excellent instructions on how to use the bikes. Needless to say, the experience was awesome! Dana Point provides an excellent venue to see the harbor, enjoy a quick meal, ride on down to San Clemente pier, all in the safety of designated bike lanes.
