No appointment was needed, although you might want to call ahead and confirm - they get very busy in the spring/summer (as you can imagine). I was told it would be about three weeks, and it ended up taking about four weeks. Plan ahead if you need or want your bike within a certain time frame! After 3.5 weeks, I called to get an update, and the employee was super friendly and explained they were a bit behind schedule because of demand. A few days later, I received a text message that my bike was ready for pickup. Really pleased with my experience with Gray Goat and highly recommend doing business here! Aside from the service shop, you can come here to browse new bikes, equipment, etc. The employees seem really knowledgeable about the products and all things cycling.

One of two areas in Metro Indy specifically designed for mountain bikers, Town Run Trail Park is…read more127 acres of beginner and intermediate level of trails offering an approximate total of seven miles worth of trails. The first thing worth pointing out, though it has been said in other reviews, is that this trail system is truly devoted to bikers. While hikers and walkers are allowed here, the bikers have the right of way and the trail itself is truly developed with bikers in mind. I've done my share of wheeling, I'm a wheelchair user, on difficult trails but having visited again this afternoon I was again reminded that even the easiest spots here are truly not designed to be accessible. Even if you have off-road wheelchair tires, there are lots of twists, turns, inclines, places to fall, and places where you could easily get stuck. While there's a decent chance you'll run into someone on this trail, I think the vast majority of wheelchair users should steer clear of Town Run Trail Park. Town Run does offer the possibility of other activities including fishing, kayaking/canoeing, and observing of nature. Because it truly is more of a natural trail, nature is much more likely to be here. The Hoosier Mountain Bike Association is involved with the trail and assists with upkeep and installation. The beginner features include a bridge and subsequent single track, dirt rollers, and a rock garden. The advanced features include North Shore Ladder, shoots, bridges, table top jumps, and dirt jumps. If you can't jump, then you're going to have a hard time doing the entire trail. There is parking nearby and the area has been kept fairly natural even around it. This is a great area that's really right around Indy, Fishers, and Carmel but this actually falls within Indy Parks. I enjoy coming here to just hang out and observe, though I definitely don't venture too far into the park because there's simply too high of a risk of injury, getting stuck, or having a fall. This is especially true considering my last amputation. However, for its intended use it's quite the beautiful park and for mountain bikers I'll definitely give it a thumbs up. It's also, in my opinion, one of Indy's better maintained parks.

This 7ish mile trail is an oasis on Indy's North East Side. The trails are well maintained and…read moreeasy to navigate. It is setup so bikers of all skill levels can ride. For example, when there is a big drop, there is a sign posted stating a drop is coming and there is an easy to follow path around the drop so you don't have to soar 8 ft. in the air if you don't want to. I read a review about mountain bikers being elitist here. I find that preposterous. I started riding off road in September 2015. Brand new to it, I went out on my own. I found many bikers on the trail who were nothing but friendly and helpful. I have also been riding when there are runners on the trail. It has always been met with cooperation from both. Much of the trail is in the woods, but there is a big stretch that is out in the sun (so you may want sun screen). The entrance can be tricky to find, but it is on 96th street near Allisonville road, just east of the river. I love the place!

You can find all the Pacers Bikeshare locations on the app as it will pull up what location is closest to you where you currently are at. Make sure when you return it to click it into the corral and it will let you know when it's returned correctly. Great organization that I'm glad they have here in Indy!

When the weather is nice out this is definitely a nice way to get some exercise in. The prices for the bikes are really reasonable. You can find the bikes in broadripple area, downtown Indy or the South side of town. If you live in Indy you could sign up for a program to get the bikes for free for 30min and then if you ride longer than that you would have to pay for the difference. You do have to download an app and create an account in order to ride the bikes. I wish they had bikes located in the Castleton area especially with them building a trail that goes up to fishers. I definitely enjoyed my time on the bike though. It was a nice day and I was able to get some nice cardio in.

When researching a unique office Christmas party, a co-worker mentioned looking into a Brew Bus. I…read morefound Indy Brew Bus through Yelp and thought I'd check out there packages. During the Holiday season they offer a wonderful tour "Lights at the Brickyard Brewery Tour". After emailing with Andy and John about pricing, we secured 2 buses for a private event. When I had questions about the event, Andy and John were super fast and emailing me a response. The day of the event, I got a text in the afternoon with the drivers info in case I needed anything and confirming the departure time. 10 mins before departure, I got a text that the buses had arrived downstairs and everyone headed downstairs. The Drivers Andy & Todd met us in the lobby and gave us a quick rundown of the nights schedule, gave us a sticker and loaded up the buses. First Stop was Traders Brewing Company which was just a few miles from our pick up point. Andy took the lead and introduced us to the brewery and explained the process of brewing and answered questions. We were offer 2 samples, pre-poured, but were given the option of sampling anything we liked. Andy and Todd both milled around and were talking to individuals and groups about how they were liking the beer and making sure everyone was having a great time. Several people were impressed and mentioned swinging by at another time after work. After about 35 mins we were given a 10 min heads up for departure/bathroom/purchase for the road. Next Stop was Wabash Brewing. This brewery was hoppin. We arrived and we immediately headed to the bar to try their brews. Live Music was playing and we even got to play some shuffleboard in a round robin fashion. Although the brewery was packed we had a great time trying unusual beer combos, a new band and new friends. Last stop for the night would be at the Speedway for the Lights at the Brickyard. A speedy pass came with the tour booking so we were able to enter the grounds through a special gate and not have to sit in a line of cars. The lights were enjoyable and the fact that we could bring snacks was a godsend. After the driven tour, we were able to have the experience of entering the Pagoda and seeing the lights/indy skyline from the 8th floor. While Todd stayed with the buses, Andy joined us and was available to take pictures and show us where the non busy bathrooms were. (GODSEND). All in all, I would highly recommend the Indy Brew Bus for a unique gathering. Andy mentioned that the tours usually include 1 Large Brewery as well as a Smaller (Lesser Known) Brewery to show differences. Since our pick up was on the Northwest Side, the breweries were chosen based on our location. I can't thank Andy and Todd for making our party a great success. They were friendly, knowledgeable and just plain awesome. You guys are the best!

What a wonderful way to spend our Friday evening! My coworkers and I, along with our significant…read moreothers, had a fun time exploring four of Indy's breweries. We went to Roundtown, Flat12, Fountain Square and Indiana City. I enjoyed all of them! Didn't even know a few of them existed. Did you know Indianapolis has 50 breweries?! Crazy. We spent about 30 minutes at each place. We were able to try multiple samples which was included in our tour fee. My favorite location was Fountain Square brewery but Flat12 had my favorite beer of the night. I'd recommend Indy brew bus to anyone. It's a nice change of pace from just going to our regular bars.
