The stars are for the doctors and nurses who for the most part are doing their best. Now for the negatives which will be so much longer and not the norm for my reviews. Scheduling: Last time my son had a well visit we waited an hour and a half just to be brought in. Our appointment was at 8:40 and we didn't get done until 2 hours later and it wasn't even a sick visit. I asked the woman ahead of me what time her appointment was and she was scheduled for just 10 minutes before me. When I told office staff that I need to get to work too I was told "we don't rush the doctors". Great - don't over schedule them then. At the well visit I was given a referral for a specialist for my son. Turns out that doctor had a 6 month wait. I made an appointment for a different provider and requested an updated referral the same day. It says 7-10 business days. 2 weeks later I called to follow up because his appointment is the day after Labor Day. They hadn't even started working on it. I've called every day for 3 days now being assured it will be done "today or tomorrow " each time and nothing. If we don't get it in two days he will miss his appointment. If my son misses his appointment I will be checking with my legal plan to se if there is a case for medical neglect. I also called my insurance to find out about lodging a grievance. I'm going to reach out to corporate too - Pediatric Associates Family of Companies where patients just don't seem to matter anymore . I will update the review after my son is supposed to have his appointment. Update: after calling twice a day for the past 3 days, calling multiple departments not just the one for referrals, I finally connected with someone on the medical side that cared enough to get the referral department to get it done in time. It worked out but is not an experience I would recommend. I added one star for the person who cared so the positive is the medical end but if you need a referral expect to have to follow up often and hope you get it in time. read more

Probably the worst pediatrician in the south Florida area. They used to be caring and used to try to help sick children. Now they out source all calls to India or somewhere in Asia or the Middle East and they don't even try to help kids get seen. I called over 4 times to get an appointment and each time, they don't have an available appointment. The purpose of a pediatric doctor is to be able to help kids who cannot always articulate their problems. Parents please AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS!!! Everything can improve here. The staff is dismissive, had wrong name of my daughter, they thought she was another patient. They were clueless and don't seem to know what they are doing. This facility needs to get organized. We arrived 15 minutes early for a 11am appointment, and were not seen til about almost 2 hours later. Their excuse, the doctor takes their time is what they said. It seems like is this way with every patient and the 1 star reviews speak for themselves. I could rate it 0 stars if it let me to be honest. Please go somewhere else where your time is valued and you are respected. Someone advised to arrive an hour and a half late on here in the reviews as it makes no difference if you are 15 minutes early or an hour late. They will take two hours. They only care about numbers and seeing the most patients they can per day, so you are only a number to them. They do not care about you. They leave you in the waiting room outside in the lobby and in the doctor's office once inside. The unprofessionalism on here is terrible. They are aware of it all and don't seem to care, I seen reviews from 10 plus years and they speak about the same and nothing has changed. I set up a virtual appointment with Dr.Letsky when I was pregnant. They do that so if the parents to be have any questions then they can be answered. She was awesome and explained some questions I had about formula milk etc. Once I delivered my baby we went for his first appointment after two days of delivery. He loved her and every single time he has gone to this office has been a breeze. The doctor has a calming personality and adores kids. The office nurses and front desk personnel are all wonderful. They make newborn appointments at morning so this way there is less people- covid rules are followed etc. We loved taking my son here for all his pediatric needs. The appointments are timely and we don't have to wait more than a few minutes. Side note- they do temperature checks of parents for covid reasoning at the front of the reception area. read more

I spent hours on the phone with this practice. I set up an appointment for 06/30/2023 as it was the last day of my daughters insurance. I did a three way call with Sofie and the insurance company to make sure that she could get in without them being the primary care Physician. I was told that she could and set the appointment. I had to call and get her correct member ID and between all of the calls I spent over 2 hours on the phone. I was texted to conform the appointment and replied yes. I called this morning to reconfirm the appointment and also again to make sure that she could get in without them being the primary care Physician. I was told my Mauricio that she would be seen by Dr Yevette Braynen. I called the insurance company again as well to reconfirm and they said like the day before that she could go there as long as they would see her. Her mother called after I did and was told that she would not be seen as they were not the primary care Physician. I called and was now the same thing. I asked why did two people tell me that she could be seen? They just tried making excuses. I called the insurance company and switched the primary to Dr. Yvette Braynen. I then called the office again and it's crap shoot to actually talk to someone at the office. Most of the time you get a call center. They have no clue what to do our how to do their jobs. I told them that I switched the primary care and to get my daughter back in today 06/30/23. They had to call the office as they could could not help. I was told that she could not get in. This after they made all the mistakes and I took the time to change the primary care. They just kept making excuses. So the hours I spent doing my due diligence and being lied to by numerous people got me know where. They would not honor their mistakes. STAY AWAY!! Dr. Chang, has been my son's doctor for almost three years and he is absolutely AMAZING! The location itself has been recently remodeled and is very clean. The staff is friendly and the only complaint I would have is the wait times can be a little off. There have been times where I've waited way past my wait times. This office will always get you in and seen immediately. They always fit me in whenever my child is ill. All the doctors and staff are very considerate and kind. Everyone is also extremely knowledgeable about insurance, how things work, referrals etc. They take the time to explain everythingvery clearly. Where do I start ‍‍ if your appointment is at a certain time, just come in an hour or so later. I have watched every single patient that came after me go in BEFORE me. I raised my voice and expressed my frustrations and nothing changed. My SONS both have a fever, haven't eaten all day (and are on the autism spectrum, so they're getting upset) and still not. My kids have been seeing Dr. Chang since 2014. We all love him! He's friendly, competent, and great with kids. Love the convenience of being pediatric associates patients: there's always an appointment available at a nearby location, usually our primary location at Boynton West. Of the locations I've been to this one is my favorite. The entire staff from reception to nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors is wonderful. Very highly recommended! read more

Despite the one negative review here, the norm is quite to the contrary. While at times it may be busy, I have never had to wait over 10~15 minutes. Far from the hour others have said, and even when busy someone always acknowledges me and let's me know what's going on. I have four children that all go to this office for all of their medical needs. I can not say enough about how amazing Dr. Chang is. He has been my children's doctor for the past nine years and he is the only person I trust. He listens and is so attentive. Even though I know he has hundreds of patients, he greets my children by name and can always figure out what is going on with them. During my last visit the nurse Junia was amazing. My three year old daughter was being difficult but she was so patient with her. I have been to a few doctor's throughout the years until I finally found this one. I had an ENT appointment across the street and Pediatric Associates gave me a referral for them. When I walk into the ENT and see the lobbyists. She tells me that the ENT can't check me out physically and they can't use medical equipment. This is because I needed "5-codes" instead of the 2-codes that were almost useless in medical terms. Pediatric Associates need to be able to give the correct terms and codes to specialized medical branches so their patients can receive expert care. I had to call and wait 45 minutes to "allow" them to fax the new referral with 5-codes. I recommend taking yourself or child to a different pediatric since all the new employees they're hiring don't qualify on the convenience side of your life. read more

My son was born in February and I took picking a pediatrician very seriously and was skeptical about using Pediatric Associates because I also have a 9 year old step daughter who uses another doctor in the practice and I personally do not agree with his medical opinions. He is very quick to over diagnose in my opinion and over medicates. For my son I choose to go with Dr. Chang, and I could not be happier. He is very personable, and interacts very well with my son. There is not a day he walks out of that room without a smile on his face, except maybe when it's shot day! Dr. Chang is knowledgeable and always gives us personalized care. The staff at the front are always nice and talkative which is a plus. Do we wait sometimes longer than wanted? Yes, but wait times at any doctors office are generally longer than anyone really wants! read more

I've been with pediatric associates for 10 years. The boynton beach location is the worst. I walked out after waiting an hour and a half for a well visit. I understand emergencies happen but it's always a extremely long wait time. No one even comes in to give you an update on the wait time. Today was my last time taking my kid to this place. I've read that the average waiting time was 11 minutes. THAT IS A JOKE. I've never waited less than 45 minutes to see the doctor there. I'm tired of being treated like cattle and waiting for 45 min to an hour to spend 3 1/5 minutes to 5 minutes with the actual doctor trying to rush to the next patient. I'm aware that this is the system that we have in place here but this place is particularly business oriented instead of patient oriented. I'm moving to a pediatrician with a smaller office. I have been a customer for 4 years for my first child and now for my second child as well. My child needed a follow up appt after a ER visit and we were given a time of 10:20 am. We arrived at 10;15 and were never even taken to a room till 11:45. The baby is 4 months old and they had no consideration. Once in the back the doctor did not come in till after 12:20. Upon talking to the clinical manager Diana she first stated it wasn't quite two hours since it was 12.18 pm and then that there are other kids sicker than ours and she will not pull a physician from someone else's room to see my child. Really!! You make my husband wait 2 hours with a sick infant and tell me my child is not important. How dare you!! You tell us that you will charge us for a office visit if we are late by 5 minutes and then you have the audacity to talk to your patients and families like that. This is my first time ever writing any kind of review!! Worst appointment ever. 1st time patient at this office because we moved but my son has been doing great!! He's 13 years old. Easy appointment right?! No way!! They took him back right away and then we waited for an hour to see Dr. Chang. It was a 7:45 am appointment, his 2nd appt of the day and he was in the office on-time? Then, he came in...didn't introduce himself...didn't look at me or my son...sat at the computer across the room barking off questions and actually seemed to be disappointed with my answers!! Although I didn't mention it.... I'm an ARNP so I know a "little bit" about medicine. My son actually looked at me and shrugged. Dr. Chang did not agree with the ADHD medication regime my son had been on for years from his old Dr (which was working phenomal) and decided we should change it in the middle of the school year. What?? I was floored but agreed to try it his way bc it was a lower stimulant so maybe healthier? Anyways in order to get this new Med it had to be authorized. After we left office....I called MANY over the next 3-4 days trying to get him to authorize it. I spoke to MAs and Dr Chang and the medicine NEVER got authorized. Needless to say my son ran out of his old medicine which caused all types of havoc. THIS EXPERIENCE WITH PEDIATRIC ASSOCIATES AND DR. Good afternoon, I've been coming to this office for the past five years for emergency visits for my children due its close proximity to my house. I had an 8:45am sick visit this morning for my 2 year old son Aidan who has been running a fever on and off for the past 5 days and complaing of ear pain. I showed up 5 mins late, at 8:50a. The receptionist did not say anything when I checked in. I sat down, completed his paperwork than returned them to her. At 9:30, after observing many patients that came after us were being taken in before us, I got up to inquire on my son's appointment status as he was getting crancky. The receptionist, rudely lectured me on how I was 5 mins late and now had to wait. After realizing I wasnt going anywhere with her, I asked to speak with the office manager. At that time, she changed her story stated that my Dr was running late? Keep in mind it's early in the morning and I've watched poeple come in AFTER ME and get taken it before me. This whole situation could have been avoided if the receptionist had done a better job on communicating to me as to why the delay while we were waiting. This is a large assembly line practice, while some of the doctors may be good and caring, our experience was horrible. We went here for my 11 year old daughter for about a year and a half after we moved to Florida. First impression very large waiting room, reminded me of the emergency room at a hospital. Most of the girls at the front desk were very nice and friendly, but in a year and a half I never saw the same person twice. The wait times in the waiting room are relatively short at 5-15 minuets, they bring you in for weight, BP and height. After that is when the fun starts. In the year and a half we never waited less than an hour to see a doctor. Every time you come you fill out the same paperwork even if it was a follow up from a week ago. We had our daughter given a flu shot at school and brought in the paperwork and for the last three visits they tried to have me to sign a "refuse to vaccinate" paper. The last visit we had, when we decided to find a new pediatrician, we arrived for a 2:45 appointment and at 5:20 we left without seeing the doctor. The worst part was no one cared and acted as if nothing was wrong. We came right from school, she had homework, she was tired and hungry by then, just shameful for a pediatricians office. Now on to the doctor, we saw Dr. Susan Laufer. She seemed to be very knowledgeable, but very distant. Every time we saw her she introduced herself like we had never met and would ask us what the appointment was for. I know these doctors see a lot of patients, and we may have been spoiled by our last doctor, but she never even remotely seemed to remember my daughter. I would describe Pediatric Associates as Pediatric Factory. I switched my four kids to this practice about a year and a half ago and now I'm searching again. With the exception of one visit, it's taken 2-3 hours from start to finish each time, most of the time spent waiting. Twice, I've booked with one doctor and when we got there, they switched us to another provider. They must triple book. I recently had to pull my daughter out of High School because of a medical issue. We had a 10:50 appointment and arrived to an extremely packed waiting room at 10:40. I had to get my daughter back to school in a reasonable period of time and asked how many patients were ahead of us. There were six patients ahead of us for the one particular provider, not all the providers. We left and went to Med Express and were done in a half hour. I would never recommend this place unless you have unlimited free time and don't really care about getting a particular doctor or any kind of personal care at all. The only reason I didn't give them one star is because at least they are not rude, the people are generally nice. Also, it doesn't matter if you book early in the morning or late at night. In fact, if you go on their online system you can book appointments for the same doctor 5 minutes apart which tells you that they double or triple book right off the bat. It's really ridiculous. Lastly, the doctor talked to my sixteen year old like she was 5. It's not a huge deal but my daughter was a little put off (and humored) by it and I would think a pediatrician would know how to change their tone for a young adult and not talk to her in the same tone you would a toddler. read more
