You have to wait 30-40 minutes, either in the hallway or in the exam room, and when you ask why, they just say, "Please wait, the doctor is with another patient," even though you arrived on time for your appointment. But if you are late by just 10-20 minutes, they refuse to see you and lie, saying that the doctor is not there or has already left, even though you know he is still in the clinic. There were also cases when they wrote down a false diagnosis without any examination and refused to correct it afterward. When I asked who made such a diagnosis, they said they supposedly got that information from a third party and were not required to tell me who -- which is a complete lie, because no one else could possibly comment on my child's health. Why would they make up such nonsense? Overall, this clinic shows no care or respect for patients. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had.

This was for a 9:30 appointment, they had only been open for an hour. Then, 2 days later I had to bring my other daughter in for an 11am appointment and we waited for almost an hour in the car for them to call us in, then another 40 minutes in the room. Not respecting peoples time is unacceptable, especially when they have sick kids. We left almost 2 hours after our appointment that took less than 5 minutes with the doctor and swabbing her throat in the lab. We will not be returning.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience warrants it…read more A serious documentation issue at this practice resulted in inaccurate information being placed in my child's medical record--information that had real-world consequences for our family. This was not a simple clerical mistake. It reflected a clear lack of communication and failure to properly engage with a parent regarding their child's care. Rather than taking responsibility, communicating, or attempting to correct the issue, the practice chose to dismiss us as patients. That decision speaks volumes about their level of accountability and professionalism. Families trust pediatric providers to be thorough, accurate, and communicative. That standard was not met here. If you choose this practice, I strongly encourage you to carefully review your child's records and be prepared to advocate for yourself.

As first time parents, we've both felt more than comfortable with Dr.K as he is soft spoken, patient, respectful and very knowledgeable. We definitely "clicked" with him, which was important to us as parents. I would highly recommend Dr. K to any friend or loved one. Another thing that I love about this practice is that they were able to squeeze us in, same day, for a concern we had with our son. Overall, staff is great and service is fantastic too!

Unfortunately, our most recent experience changed how we feel about the practice. We brought our daughter in because she had a persistent cough and ongoing nasal discharge. Since Dr. Mollock had retired and was only in once a week, we saw Dr. Washington instead. In our experience, each visit with Dr. Washington felt condescending (this was not our first time seeing her), and during this visit she told us it was allergies and sent us home. Less than 24 hours later, our daughter's condition worsened and we had to take her to urgent care. She was diagnosed with pneumonia. The urgent care provider indicated that it appeared she had been sick for a while and questioned why it had not been caught at the previous visit. When I called Gwinnett Pediatrics to express my concerns, Dr. Mollock called me back and invited us to bring our daughter back in so she could personally recheck her. Dr. Mollock confirmed the pneumonia diagnosis and advised us to continue the treatment plan provided by urgent care. A few weeks later, we received bills for both visits, including the follow-up visit that we were invited back for after what we believe was a missed diagnosis. When I contacted the office, they refused to reimburse or waive the charge. I was told they were standing by Dr. Washington, and when I asked for the issue to be escalated, I was told the refund decision would ultimately be up to Dr. Washington, who refused. I understand that medical visits involve professional judgment, but I do not believe it is appropriate to invite a family back for a recheck after a missed diagnosis and then bill them for that visit as if it were a normal follow-up. As much as we appreciate Dr. Mollock and the care she provided over the years, we will not be returning to Gwinnett Pediatrics.
