Oh still do not know what labs would be? It was horrible ! What ashamed! Then she tells me she can't prescribe my Add med ? I've been on for 25 years . What ? Oh ok .. Humm .. who does that ? Also why would u increase med if it's only 4 pts over on cholesterol? And I don't know the total cholesterol that drastic ? Still don't knew what all my blood work is or what was drawn . My second visit consisted of blood work, EKG and bladder testing. Again, the staff was wonderful. It has been difficult in the past to draw blood, however, Trasa was the Best Ever! No pain, I didn't even feel the needle. My third visit was a follow with results from my blood work. Dr. Shih explained my thyroid results so I could understand. We have decided on a plan to work toward getting my thyroid on track. I want to give a shout out to Nurse Trasa, she is great! She made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Warning to fellow pilots: Dr. Shih used a whisper test and a handheld screening device operated by…read morehis nurse as my FAA hearing evaluation. The whisper test has not been an FAA-recognized hearing standard for approximately 30 years, and a handheld device administered by a nurse does not meet the requirements for a valid FAA pure tone audiometric test. He then charged me an extra $40 for the time it took to process the improper deferral. The result was a cascade of FAA correspondence, a formal denial, and months of my time correcting a problem that should never have happened. I ultimately had to go to a second AME, obtain a proper evaluation, and go through the full reconsideration process with the Federal Air Surgeon -- all because of an invalid test. If you are considering Dr. Shih as your AME, I strongly recommend verifying that he is current on FAA hearing evaluation standards before your appointment.

An absolute nightmare of an experience. I have been to several doctors in the past few years…read morebattling and on going health issue and I have never, ever, had such a horrible and negative experience with a PCP as I had with Dr. Musunuru. I moved states so I went in trying to establish care and communicate my on going issues since I can no longer be seen by my previous specialists. Within minutes of being seen, she was immediately very rude to me and dismissive of all of my concerns, (the ones I could even get out before she interrupted me.) Red flag number one. I was very confused as I was a first time patient and I had never met her before and she had no idea the reason of my visit. She constantly interrupted me when I was trying to communicate my feelings and my concerns to her throughout my entire visit. It was a constant battle to get a word in and even when I did, I was inevitably interrupted. Once I finally stood up for myself and finally got to finish my list of concerns I had, she dismissed almost everything once again. Stating "it's all mental" and another time stating that maybe the reason I've had to go to so many doctors was because I "was the problem." She made other comments as well that I can't write here publicly due to my privacy. The whole appointment just felt like one giant argument for no reason. I left crying my eyes out from frustration and called my husband to tell him my experience. I basically paid my copay be belittled and left at square one. I will have to now go somewhere else, pay another copay and start all over. This is all my own personal experience I had, so make your own choices. But I strongly advise others to avoid this practice. I have never felt so unsafe and awful leaving a doctors office.

In general the care I receive is good, not great…read more The areas of concern are 100% based on lack of training, inattention to detail, rushing, and not properly hiring empathic customer facing admins. Key areas: Getting refills promptly addressed via portal and without having to place a call to let them know a request has been put in. Ensuring the RIGHT medication is being refilled. Follow up- if there's an issue with insurance or payment or test results or prescriptions, you will not receive a call. You might not even be notified on the portal. To get proper medical service, the patient needs to be on top of them for all the above reasons. If you are an active and engaged participant in your own medical care and are willing to double check things, you'll be fine here. I can say that, for me, I've seen some improvement from years past.

I cannot recommend Salude to anyone looking for rehabilitation for a loved one…read more Before my father-in-law was discharged from the hospital, I received a call from Salude confirming that he had been accepted and that a room would be available that Thursday. Having previously worked there, I was genuinely excited because I believed it would be a wonderful place for him to continue his rehabilitation. Unfortunately, that confidence quickly disappeared. After my father-in-law was discharged from the hospital, he was transported directly to Salude. He was admitted, placed in his room, and we met him there. The first thing we noticed was the unbearable heat. The building's air conditioning was not working, and there were portable AC units scattered throughout the facility. At no point before his admission did anyone disclose that the AC was out. This was especially concerning for a rehabilitation facility caring for elderly and medically fragile patients. It got even worse. As we left briefly to buy him necessities, we received a phone call saying there was "a problem"--Salude had suddenly realized they didn't accept his insurance. How does a facility receive all of a patient's insurance information, approve the admission, coordinate the hospital discharge, transport the patient to the facility, move him into a room, and only then discover they don't accept his insurance? That level of incompetence is simply unacceptable. When I spoke with Natasha (a worker at Salude) to try to understand what had happened, I expected empathy and accountability. Instead, I was met with rudeness and an attitude. As someone who works as an advocate, I asked reasonable questions and pushed back on the situation. Rather than trying to help, it felt like I was treated as though I was the problem. The proposed solution was even more unbelievable--they wanted to transport my father-in-law back to the hospital by medical transport at our expense. Absolutely not. If we were paying for medical transport, we were going to choose where he went, and we refused to send him back to the hospital because of Salude's mistake. Thankfully, everything worked out for the best. We found an amazing rehabilitation facility with working air conditioning, compassionate staff, and people who genuinely cared about their patients. If your loved one needs rehabilitation, I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. Salude has clearly gone downhill since I worked there, and after this experience, I understand why so many of the people I once worked with have left. For anyone looking for exceptional rehabilitation care, I highly recommend Parkside Ellijay. The difference in professionalism, compassion, and patient care was night and day.
