The front desk girl was so ridiculously unprofessional that it was enough for me to never go back again. Plantation really needs to get it together. Aventura is not like this at all and I wouldn't normally go there but our dr was away and we needed to get in quick. An entire HOUR I stood at the desk while she was "verifying my insurance". funny thing is she was so spaced out that whenever she would pull up my info it would show an old insurance card from 2024 and tell me it's expired. Yes I realize that, because that's not the ID card or number I presented or inputted in your system and you were too unaware to see the issue. Never in my life did I have such an experience. Not sure how she is employed there or what training she had but not once did she ask someone else to help her and wouldn't listen to what I was trying to show her. A wait of over 90 minutes for a scheduled well check - patient was nearly forced to leave the appointment before seeing the doctor to avoid being late for work - just like a working adult, a teenager with a job will be in trouble if they are late. Just no excuse for a 9 AM appointment to be an hour and a half behind schedule. I was at the appointment and was surprised at the lack of respect shown to the patient. The nurse practitioner who handled the appointment lost patient confidence in the first two minutes by requiring the patient to respond "yes" instead of "yeah." Practitioner handed him a tissue without any explanation of what was needed, when all she had to say was "please spit out your gum. " Information which the patient came to the meeting prepared to share was not discussed because his attempt to bring up the subject was dismissed out of hand. The style of the nurse practitioner definitely impacted patient care. The situation is even more distressing because the original appointment was canceled by the office and, unlike the initial appointment which was with his established primary care physician, was shunted off to a stranger. It was an unfeeling, robotic "caregiver" experience. With a teenager just beginning to take charge of his healthcare decisions and communication, this was a badly handled mess. I am a healthcare professional and had a telemedicine visit for my child. The wait was long (over 30 mins on a video call, waiting for the healthcare professional to join the call). While she was friendly and polite, she prescribed an antibiotic that is not first line for this type of infection because of local resistances. I told her that he would be better off with the proper antibiotic that is first line with these types of infections, yet she insisted on the wrong one. When I went to the pharmacy to get the medication, the pharmacist agreed it was a poor choice of medication, and she called the clinic to suggest switching antibiotics to the one I had suggested. Apparently the pharmacist was told to serve what had been prescribed. I then called up colleagues in the emergency department, who confirmed this nurse was wrong, and I wound up getting proper evidence based care there for my son. People make mistakes, that's not my issue. But when you have been told that it's the wrong prescription and to dig in your heels instead of correcting the error is unprofessional. read more

tried to book a prenatal appointment about 6 times in 5 days and every single time it was done incorrectly. i was specific all 6 times that i needed a zoom appointment and was scheduled an in person appointment over and over. i had to wait on hold and talk to inept employees who continued the end cycle of apologizing and continuing to do anything correctly. i was also told a supervisor would be in contact with me but that never happened at this point im glad this happened now while pregnant instead of with a sick baby. this place should be investigated because they are clearly not ruining a functional company. they are only in the business of stressing out pregnant women! read more

I have a preemie that was born at 25 weeks and we have so much appointments that we need to go to but being with pediatric associates referral department has been a nightmare. My little preemie miss so much appointments because od them. The referral department is extremely slow and horrible. Everytime i call they keep saying they "apologize for the inconvenience butvthey working with a new system blah blah" as im writing this review i have my therapy referral that's on pending and has been two months. I love the doctors but if you're like me with a preemie that need to be seeing by specialists outside their networks DO NOT waste your time. I have been a patient of this location of Pediatric Associates since 2012 and I loved how much they treated me like family and continually looked after and out for my girls. That all changed in 2023 as the turnover in staff and wait times have become unacceptable. I have waited for over an hour and 25 minutes and still haven't been seen by the doctor. I thought it was an anomaly earlier this year for a sick visit (which was scheduled) but this well check up has lasted too long when dealing with kids. Dr. Mahmood was AMAZING and patient with my daughter who was having severe anxiety over a strep test. He took 30 minutes in the room to help calm her and educated her on what was being done. If you have an appointment, it doesn't matter. If you get here on time or early you will still wait a good 30-40 mins to go back to a room where they make you wait another hour to be seen by a doctor. Horrible customer service and they have no regard for peoples time, they could literally care less. I get things happen and maybe an appointment goes a little longer, but what's so hard for one of the 10 nurses standing outside the doors to check in and say "you have 2 patients in front of you, it will be (this long)" ....?? No, that's not a thing, you have to come out of the room and hopefully be acknowledged by someone to even ask a question. Terrible and this will be the last time I set foot in this place. read more

Have been coming her for seven years but will be looking for something better. Was scheduled a 1015a appointment yet wasn't called back until 1119a. The medical assistant for Dr Garter was rude and abrupt at best. She asked no questions as to why we were here, just took vitals and placed us in a dirty room. My understanding is it should be cleaned between patients but this room hasn't been cleaned in weeks, if not months. Every surface is dusty, dirty, and hairy, including the container that holds the attachments for the lights. Asked for another room and was told that there's isn't one available. Still waiting for the correct physician as three others have come in and noticed that this isn't their patient. My advice..? Find something better. read more

This is not about children, this is all about making money . I went there with completely healthy child , needed paperwork for school. He received 2 vaccines and bill was over $1300 !! Pros: open weekends. Great phone customer service. Friendly staff. Cons: OMG most children have no patience (understood). They have a great waiting area out front with tv's toys etc... But they don't leave you out in the waiting area long... Sounds good right? Wrong! They pull you quickly into the doctor office... And you and your child will literally die waiting on the doctor. Extremely unhappy with the visit. My daughter saw Dr. Qasim Mahmood. She was there for an immunization for school. He did a full exam on my daughter which left her feeling humiliated. (A doctor should be of the same gender when a full exam is needed) Then he tried to give an extra dosage of another vaccine which she had already completed with her first pediatrician. He said that it was given to her 3 weeks early and it does not meet the pediatric guidelines. All 4 doses were given between 2011 & 2012. (Guidelines do change and should only apply to vaccines that are administered from the date they go into effect) After all this, he refused to give us the paper for the school proving that the required vaccine was administered just because I refused to give my daughter an additional dosage of the vaccine that had been completed. (The form could have still been given to me with the proper information filled out and signed by the physician) BIG MISTAKE! I don't usually write reviews but this needed to be done. I want other parents to be aware. This doctor needs to be educated on proper patient care, review when each pediatric guideline became effective and how to properly fill out forms that should be given to the parents. read more

Let me start by saying that my daughter is 9 years old. She has been going to Pediatric Associates since she was born and it's always been an unpleasant experience with the rude office staff. But what happened to me on Saturday takes the cake. I called to make an appointment with her doctor in a panic Saturday morning because she had a rash that looked like chicken pox all over her. They scheduled the appointment and said "just so you know there is a $600 balance on the account". Ok, thank you for telling me, off to the office I go. When I arrive they check me in and tell me that they will not see her until I pay the balance and that they told me that when I made the appointment. No they didn't and I don't have the money. Given the current situation ( COVID) my husband isn't working and money is extremely tight. I explained that to them. They could have cared less. Their assistant manager of some sort came over and refused care. I explained I have a 6 month old at home and think my daughter has chicken pox. Begged for them to please see her. Cried and pleaded with them. They literally didn't care. They scheduled a telemedicine visit and sent me on my way. Well, telemedicine doctor said it's fine, she had contact dermatitis and it will go away, Take Zyrtec. So we did. Today is Thursday, I took her back to the doctors yesterday (urgent care) and low and behold she has an extremely contagious virus that manifest in a pox like skin infection and now the 6 month old has it too. Thanks pediatric associates for being heartless and all about the money. Dr. Camino is a GREAT professional and all the staff of Plantation, all the doctors of this clinic are excellent professionals that make you feel confident when you are with them. My daughter is a patient of the office and a student at the daycare behind the office. Although we had a pleasant experience a month ago, we will not be returning. I encountered one of their employee this morning while dropping off my daughter at the daycare. While turning into the plaza where the daycare is at, a Toyota Solaris in the left lane makes a sharp right turn in front of me causing me to slam on my break. I honked at the car and saw that it turned into Pediatric associate parking lot. I was extremely upset because I had my daughter in the car and being 4 months pregnant if I had hit this person, not only will I have to make sure my daughter is ok but my unborn child as well. When I saw the person coming out of the car was an employee, I confronted her that she needed to pay better attention while she was driving especially being that the daycare and pediatrican office is right next to each other with parents coming and going dropping off their kids. This employee was on her phone and said she didn't know what I was talking about. When I reminded her that she turned right in front of me and I had just honked at her she said she wasn't paying attention and didn't know what I was talking about. Instead of apologizing she brushed it off as if it was no big deal. According to Pediatric Associates mission statement, they try to "enhance the lives of all children, their families and communities by delivering the highest quality and service in a compass and healthy environment". If this were true, their employees should be not only hold this belief on the clock but outside of it as well. I can't take my daughter to an office with employees that doesn't pay attention to her surroundings, and dismiss a concern from a parent when confronted with. Just because I didn't take my child there for 3 years, because she has not been sick nor any vaccine was needed, my visit went from $225 (established patient) to $495 (new patient)!! For well visits we usually are called in within minutes of stepping into the office. I absolutely love speaking with my child's pediatrician Dr. Santos. I talk to her about what I feel may be happening and what I've already done and she listens (I'm a provider as well). Doesn't shame me but instead reassures me and treats my child accordingly with the latest recommendations from the AAP. On sick visits we have had to wait a bit more than well visits, but the staff will even call you if you need to step outside to walk around with your child etc.. I personally prefer to stick to my child's main provider or Dr. Garter who is also very good and does a thorough exam as well. To come across a good nursing staff that works as a team is difficult. Some of the nurses like Christie has been with my child since he was born. My child has even accidentally peed on a nurse before and never did she give us a look. As embarrassed as I was she shrugged it off and continued to take the initial assessment. read more

When our son was born we had to choose a pediatrician. Unfortunately we hadn't done our due diligence and went with the first option they gave us. Lucky for us, that option was GREAT! Dr. Garter has been seeing our son for 8 months now and is always caring, helpful and kind. He is also pro-breastfeeding and that is a big help when you need all the support that you can get! The entire staff is awesome, the office is clean and there is never much of a wait. We have only been there for routine visits and I hope it stays that way but it is reassuring that there is always somewhere to go. read more

We recently moved to Florida leaving behind the most AMAZING pediatricians ever in Wisconsin. It was a bit of a struggle to find a Dr. we were happy with here. At first we went to a smaller practice because I thought "how could a HUGE practice like Pediatric Associates have REAL time to invest in my little guy?" Well, our experience at the smaller practices was less than appealing. We FINALLY headed over to Pediatric Associates and I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!! From the nurses manning the front desk to the nurses who see my son, to the most wonderful pediatrician. I was nearly in tears. They took the time and made me feel as though my son was an actual priority. We see Dr. Rotlewiczs but I am confident that all the Dr's in this practice are excellent! read more

Let me start off by saying that the - entire - practice is faulty , not just one location . On top of the fact that every single location I looked up for them , has HORRID bad reviews , the entire practice is simply faulty. what do they do that's so bad ? to start , they like to take over existing small privately owned pediatric offices and run them in the ground ,then closing that location all together, orrrrr, taking over and ruining everything buy changing everything to their own ways . anyone who's familiar with coral square pediatrics, will tell you that office was amazing . Dr chereznick and dr liang are incredible people who have dedicated their lives to pediatrics and people loved them ! thats until everything went down the drain . Pediatrics associates took over and everything just started sucking big time . All of the sudden referrals no longer took one DAY to get , but 30 days . All of the sudden , everything you were use to , went south and in a bad way . Improving things is good , but they didn't improve anything. For months after they took over , the staff became distant and stressed , the things you were so use to like a simple referral to a doctor you already had an appointment with , took 30 days . It's no surprise that both dr liang and dr chereznick " retired " . Neither of them was ready to do so,that I'm willing to bet - but they got pushed out by the big guys - pediatrics associates. Once they took over and ran the practice in the gutter ,they CLOSED THAT LOCATION. That was their purp- corals square pediatrics was taking a LOT of their clients . They then referred everyone to their Herron bay location-25 minutes away from coral square pediatrics location. No . Just no. you can't contact an actual nurse practitioner in any office because they are ran solely by a third party phone company and you will NEVER be able to talk to a doctor or nurse at a specific location, unless you drive to it . their third party calling system also sucks . ONE hour on hold is ridiculous. their online app is useless too . everything about this practice as a whole ( not just one location) is useless. you have been warned - don't use pediatrics associates. read more

I had to update my review to a 1 Star and if I could give 0 I would. I'm tired of having to wait over an hour for a regular check up. There's a reason why I make word ahead of time, I can understand a 20-30 min wait but an hour of waiting on the waiting room to later be called in and wait inside some more it's unacceptable. I love Lisa service which is my daughters PCP, however one of the things I dislike very much about this place is their nurses. I cannot understand why do they have to be so rough to babies. My oldest is 18 months and my youngest 3 and even though I didn't really had this problem as much with my 18 month old it seems to be a hit or miss on decent nurses or attendants (I don't know what's he proper name). They seriously need to realize that they are treating with very young children and even if they are 2 months old and they "won't remember" later on, I still care for her to be treated properly. I went in today for a shot only apt and to get my almost 3nonth old her earrings and they were trying to be so quick they were measuring her temperature while on the stroller and then she threw up a bit on herself and I barely had time to take her wet clothes off because the nurse was in such a hurry. I get it patients are waiting but I made an appointment, I'm hoping to be greeted nicely and most importantly I'm hoping my daughter gets proper treatment as well. Physicians: Service and level of caring Totally depends on which physician you see. A few physicians there are great and do seem to care about the patients and take time to explain everything. Front desk/customer service: Abysmal. Staff seem like robots and have no ability to adjust - adapt - answer any questions other than the usual ones. If you ask something different they are thrown off and revert to the robotic reply. Requested copy of lab report and was told they will fax to another physician but the only way I can obtain a copy of my child's lab results was to go in and wait for it in office. Seriously!?!?! Why??? When I asked the lady hung up on me. Yes - I asked for an explanation of this policy and was hung up on (too taxing to try and answer me I suppose) Front desk staff often unfriendly and almost always unhelpful. Phone centers: Generally pretty good and usually can accommodate appointments. Same day appointments are more difficult and often involve very lengthy waits of well over an hour to an hour and a half. This is hard with a very sick toddler. Recently I called to ask for a same day appointment anywhere within 20 mile radius since my child was in agony from an earache (recurring). I was told not one dr at any office at any time could see my son and to go an urgent care clinic. Disturbing since the whole reason we use PA is to have ability to see other physicians in an emergency. Update: went in to get flu shots at the Hollywood location. They were efficient and fast and the nurse who administered shots for both kids was amazing - she did it so fast and she was extremely compassionate. I wish I remembered her name. This plantation office is the worst doctor office I have taken my son to . The waiting time is ridiculous and the staff seem to be lost, beside the doctor nobody else knows what's going there. After 2.5 hours there I walked out of the office with out instructions or referral, after waiting for 30 minutes I asked for the referral and the nurse told me the coordinator wasn't there to take care of it at the moment, couldn't somebody told me that and don't make me wait with a impatient little kid there?
