I've been with pediatric care group jenkintown pa for almost 20 years. This last year they have treated us terrible. The NEW doctor has REFUSED to give my son his ASTHMA PRESCRIPTION They are trying to kill my son. They have REFUSED to see my son without insurance Even if I PAID CASH My son NOT RECEIVED His ADHD medication or his ASTHMA Medication. My son has now Broken his TEETH, SPRAINED severely Bruised His foot, fell AGAIN and has a concussion. 8 ASTHMA ATTACKS that's almost killed him And today I was Told after Almost 18 years that MY 5 children have been PATIENTS. I am always on hold for over an hour. When my children are sick, they can never be seen for months. The only time anyone answers the phone is to tell me to hold. Today I have been on hold for 2 hours and still waiting. Hung up and called back several times. no answer. read more

I am not one to write bad reviews and I have been a patient here for over 18 years. So this saddens me. But I have seen a real decline in this practice. I was late for my appointment today, however I called to say I was stuck in traffic. I was told I would be fine. When I arrived they would not see me. To be turned away after driving 45 minutes is inconvenient and maddening. Also, my previous appointment here I waited for over an hour to be seen and had to ask if they forgot about us. My previous appointment to this one I had scheduled with my favorite PA and when I arrived at the appointment the office staff had scheduled me with the wrong doctor. I have been very patient. Unfortunately we love our PA here, but each time I come I am let down somehow. read more

PCG Jenkintown has definitely gone down hill since we first started here 12+ years ago. The medical assistants are so rude and unprofessional. We recently had an issue with one of the providers who we thought we trusted. Needless to say, my kids won't be back. For the new parents-to-be, I would definitely not recommend establishing care here. Find another pediatrician. read more

I've been taking my seven kids to PCG for approximately two decades. The care is excellent and compassionate. They always follow up and follow through. My family has been coming here for over 11 years. The doctors and the nurse practioners have been good, however the front desk staff was very rude. My 11 year old daughter was very sick and the first person did not say hello and gave us hardly any direction as to where to go. One young lady was personable, however the young lady with the disney sweatshirt was very rude. The doctor on our insurance card was incorrect, however we had another card that stated Dr. Carrier's name. We were told we had to pay for everything without any compassion, problem solving or flexible approach. I am very disappointed in the demeanor of the two front desk staff. The insurance should have been able to be rectified. We had to go to the minute clinic and we were lucky they took care of us. This is the first review that I have ever written. I am hoping a manager at least calls to apologize for their behavior. Also I was told the manager was out sick and noone could help. read more

We've been going to this practice for the last 3 years. We absolutely love the PAs Mia and Suzie. They are the reason we've stayed at this practice as long as we did. They are very knowledgeable and great with the kids. The reason we left the practice is because the practice is not taking Covid 19 precautions seriously at all. At our last appointment, we waited over 40 minutes in the waiting room with other patients. They didn't mark off chairs or have stickers on the floor to help with social distancing at check-in, like other practices have implemented. The receptionists also kept taking their masks down whenever they were not talking with a patient. When we finally were called back for our appointment, there were people making phone calls without masks on within 6 feet of the infant weighing station. The nurse that saw us to check vitals also wore her mask below her nose. I had to ask her multiple times to pull it up. It was such a stressful appointment and I feel it put my children at risk. I could not in good conscience bring my children back to this practice after this experience. I also want to note that Dr. Smith is a horrendous doctor. When we first brought my child to him and had a concern about a condition he was born with, Dr. Smith replied he didn't know what that was and asked us how we wanted to treat it. We're not doctors and were shocked by this response. We've tried to avoid him whenever possible. He may be fine for well visits where you have no concerns but for anything serious, I'd steer clear of him. He has no idea what he's doing. read more

The doctors and staff are absolutely amazing here. Dr Carrier has been my sons doctor now for 21 years and Dr Mundell and Mia see my 12 year old daughter. My daughter loves going to the doctors office because of Mia! She is exceptional. I have trusted them with my whole heart and never have i ever thought of going elsewhere. They are a great team and all work together to provide the best care at all times. Through covid (before the vaccine came out) my daughter had to be tested each week (for a personal reason) and the staff at Pediatric Care Group accommodated our needs and took total care of us! If you are looking for pediatrician look no further. This is truly the place to be for the best care for your children! read more

I'm devastated to write this review after 5 years of great experiences. The NPs Mia and Suzie are the absolutely best. Dr. Lidd was also wonderful but we had a horrific experience with Dr. Mundell when she went out of her way to weight shame my 8 year old and then draw comparisons between her bmi and her 4 year old sisters. It was a terribly damaging experience for my daughters and when I reached out via email to discuss it I was 100% ignored. I then followed up with a phone call to discuss it and was told by Gary the office manager that my email was aggressive (it certainly was not) and that if I wanted the doctor to speak sensitively than I should have indicated that. Since when is it the parent's responsibility to teach the pediatrician how to speak to children without shaming them or damaging their self esteem? When I spoke to neighbors about this, I learned that Dr. Mundell has done the same to their child. In addition to abusive bedside manner, this practice has terrible communication skills. When a parent reaches out with a complaint, you don't ever ignore them! read more

I'm so disgusted with this office. I've recently brought my son in for his yearly check up. While I was checking in with the girls at the front desk, a girl in red scrub came in the front area and slapped another employee butt. She then proceeded to say you know you liked that. The girl at the front desk checking me in turned to see what I was looking at and looked so shocked and apologetic. My son was then called into the back where he was being weighed. The same girl in the red scrubs was sitting at the desk near the big desktop with her hair in a bun laughing at another employee shaking her butt. This should not be happening at a place where children attend. I've had small issues with this practice with longer wait times which is to be expected but nothing like this. I love the practice and the girls up front help me everytime I call, but something needs to be done about this. I'm half tempted to pull my children out. read more

I really like Dr. Mundell, but I never seem to be able to get appointments with her. The other female Drs I've had were all good. Dr. Smith is probably the worst doctor I've ever met. I've got him multiple times and I'm now switching to a new practice because I dislike him so much. He is unpleasant, uninterested, and straight up seems like he has no idea what he's doing. I've brought up multiple concerns I've had, and he had no answers for me. He has no bed side manner and wouldn't even smile for my child. Not sure why he decided to be pediatrician since he's awful with children. And won't make eye contact with you or your child. They assistants and front desk were all nice. I've been working as a nurse in geriatrics for the last 23 years and I understand first hand what it's like to work with sick people. My son and daughter have been patients at Holland pediatrics for over 10 years. As of today, they will no longer be going to that office for the following 2 reasons: 1. Last month, when both of my children were exposed to a COVID-19 person and I called to talk to the nurse, no one returned my call. 2. Today, I called and requested a script to have my daughter tested for COVID at a lab because both, my husband and I, have tested positive, I was told to go to Bucks County website to use a government testing site. I've realized that the staff at Holland pediatrics does not care and does everything to avoid helping their customers.. read more

I highly recommend this group of pediatricians! The office is extremely organized and on top of things and as a new mom, I really appreciate that more than I could possibly express. I worry about every little thing when it comes to my baby, and the entire staff at PCG are very patient. They take the time to answer questions, even if they are simple, routine, or just plain silly. Dr. Mundell is wonderful with my baby. He can be quite a handful and she has a great way about her and it is clear that she is in the most perfect profession for her. Even better is that they really do call you back when you call after-hours. I feel safe, comfortable, and happy with PCG and feel I have made the best decision for my son's care. read more

My son is 5 months old, and from the first day that one of the doctors checked him in the hospital they've been amazing! Call anytime (yes, they have on call doctors who ACTUALLY CALL BACK) and ask questions - this is great considering I'm a first time mom and was able to get feed back on illnesses, reflux, and colds that I had no idea how to care for. They are kind and you don't wait forever in the waiting room. I think the longest I've waited was 10 minutes. They also have a well baby area and sick baby area. Really good doctors and though the staff can be busy and short tongued at times they are also really nice (considering the many calls I'm sure they deal with all day long). I'm giving a two-star rating only because in all fairness, we did not see the doctors in the practice and so this is based on customer service. We decided to move on to another practice today based simply on the poor customer service we received in the last four or five interactions, which left us feeling unwelcome as new patients. Let me explain and possibly save you some time... We had to have medical records transferred from out of state, and I started the process one month before our first appointment. I called after two weeks to ensure the records arrived, but no one knew for sure. What I was told: Perhaps they did and were not entered into the system -- someone would call me back the next day. No call. I called again five days later. The girl who answered told me she didn't see the records, there were only two of them at the front desk and she couldn't check it out, but they were probably there somewhere, so to call back the next day. (Frustrating) I checked again that the records had been sent off to the right place and had confirmation that they were mailed three weeks prior. I called PCG back again a few days before my son's appointment and the girl that answered said they couldn't accept records copied to a CD; they had to be paper copies. Why couldn't someone have told me this during any one of the other calls when I told them the medical records were copied to a CD and mailed? And what happened to the CDs that were mailed to them? No one knew. Luckily I had a copy of the immunizations, so they told me to bring that. Today was our first appointment and we were 12 minutes late. I felt bad we were late, that was our fault, these things happen when you're getting a family out the door. Because of being 12 minutes late, I was told we would have to wait "a while" to see a doctor. I asked what "a while" meant, and the answer was simply "at least one hour." What?! I can understand having to wait, but pregnant with two toddlers for one hour for being 12 minutes late? The thing is, it wasn't even a nice interaction, or "I'm sorry but we're so booked..." Or "Can we reschedule you?" kind of thing. It was just like, "You were late, so you'll have to wait awhile." I asked for our records back and said I would take my kids somewhere else. She just handed me the records back and said nothing. Conclusion: I left this place feeling like they're too busy to be bothered. I don't think it's fair to the doctors of this practice that have lost patients based upon unsatisfactory customer service, but at the same time, it wasn't just one incident or person who gave us this impression. There are plenty of doctors in the area accepting new patients/families -- hopefully the customer service here improves for future patients and families. read more

Excellent service. I've been taking all three of my kids here for 4+ years now. I've always had good experiences. They are always on time with their appointments, staffs and doctors are friendly. If you have an emergency on closing hours just leave a message and you'll get a call back within minutes! I would recommend this place and refer it to friends and family! 5 star! Once again a place I have taken my children since birth is now a place I will be leaving . Multiple times I have waited over 30 minutes in the 6 by 8 patient rooms while one doctor or another was running late. Understanding that things happen and you just need to roll with it. Now the first time I am running 15 minutes late the office manager cancels my appointment. We love Dr. Mundell as a family but her practice has really lost touch with real people and real needs. read more

Professionalism of this doctors office is stellar. When you actually interact with someone everyone is pleasant. My only issue is the super long wait time. I have patience as a adult but with a toddler this could be a nightmare. So my appointment was scheduled for 11am. I arrived at 10:35. I was brought back at 11:22 am. As I place this review its 12:07 pm and my toddler is now over it because she's ready for lunch and a nap. Lord help me as we are scheduled to get routine shots. Even with a Nabi tablet this wait isn't easy. Update: I walked out to ask if we should just reschedule and I was advised the one doctor on staff had a emergency patient in the room. I wish I would have known earlier. Again, as a adult I'm fine but my toddler said 3stars. read more

After 11 years my family was dismissed from the practice My husband almost lost his leg from complications of diabetes This threw our family into a tailspin After always being honest and upfront with the Doctors in the practice About the hardships our family had endured We were treated badly by them Due to my husbands health issues which were very serious we were 10 minutes late and was told to leave After 11 years of our family being there never being late we were never even given a chance to explain what was going on in our family Then we had other issues as well Rude staff Rude Dr....knowing we were in a bad situation beyond our control she rudely told me to get a job. Without any compassion like I was some kind of bum I was already overwhelmed at that time and she made me feel worse No one has a right to do that to a person At our last visit we arrived on time and were given a letter at check in The letter stated that we were being dismissed from the practice People are human beings Things happen and it doesn't make you a bad person or parent But we were made to feel both by this practice Beware you are nothing but an insurance card here Again I must repeat that our family was going through so much and instead of compassion empathy and understanding we were never given a chance to explain just dismissed Our children were harmed by all of this as you can imagine They were the only Drs. They knew since birth As my one child has asbergers it was very difficult to find another Dr as he has issues with strangers All of this only made my husbands health situation worse with the stress and put our family through additional turmoil Again l caution anyone considering this practice You are not a human being you are nothing more than an insurance card read more

I love this place. Yes sometimes you wait longer than expected and sometimes you get a nice short wait time. That's the nature of the beast that is healthcare. At the end of the day some patients take longer than expected and some are shorter than expected but remember if you were the parent that had honest concerns about your child's health you'd want the docs full undivided attention. I never feel like I get any less than that here. Whether I'm there for a sick visit or a well visit. They have on call docs 24/7 to answer questions and they have evening hours which are amazing. I've had a doctor return my call on Thanksgiving, on a Sunday, and at 9:00 at night. They are always professional and seem to genuinely care about their patients. I miss Dr. Altman but I've not had a bad doctor experience yet with any of her colleagues. read more

My son goes to Dr. Kaplan, the newest addition to the PCG group- I think he is great. He never rushes through the appointment and listens to all of my questions and concerns. The hours of this place are fantastic and Dr. Kaplan has always returned my calls within a few hours. I was very neutral about this group until my daughter had a serious medical issue which occurred while she was at college. Dr. Carrier and group went above and beyond to ensure that she was seen asap by specialist in the area and updated me regularly even at 8pm. They also made a point to fit her in for follow up. Yes, you have to plan ahead to get in for a routine physical but when it matters they are there for you and will do what it takes to provide quality care. I have been taking my children here for over 6 years now and have Never had a problem! When my daughters are sick it takes minutes to get a sick visit. The front desk staff are true professionals, I KNOW dealing with the public can be trying, add sick children and excited parents...well some days can be trying. But these guys are always polite! The care given by the doctors,(Dr. Carrier-Kinsley*), N.A.'s is Outstanding! As a single mom, I got a lot of irons in the fire most days, but these guys keep me on track with daily reminders about appointments, need shots etc. I also Love that I can now access my children's records, doctor's visits, etc. online. I've been with Dr. Mundell and Dr. Carrier since 2002. 3 preemies, all had asthma, one had a heart murmur, and there have been several other health issues through the years. Not one misdiagnosis. They have always gone above and beyond for my children. Recently, my oldest had some health issues and Dr. Mundell recommended a specialist at CHOP for my daughter. Dr. Mundell called the specialist on her day off to explain my daughter's issues, tests and results. I moved over 2 years ago and have quite a bit of a drive. But I still take the drive to this practice because no one knows my children as well as Dr. Mundell and Dr. Carrier. I highly recommend this practice. I love this Dr. Evers has been great since the day my son came home and the Abington nurses were coming out he made sure they came to see my son everyday until his appt. also the nurse practitioner there is great she seen my son also but I love Dr. Evers he is great with my son and my sons likes him he barely fusses when he with him. I never wait long here and I can alway get a appt the same day or the next day if I haves. Worry about my son being tho I'm a first time mom. I have consistently waited an hour for vaccine appointments. When my son got sick the doctors were extremely unhelpful. I ended up being sent to a specialist, and their advice was not to listen to the doctor's from this practice! Sure enough, my little baby who had been sick for weeks, was better within a few days of the specialists very, very simple advice (solid food and probiotics). I just made my 5th appointment at this practice, and was hung up on by the rude front desk staff. I will not be returning, and I suggest anyone who may have a sick kid at any time point, to stay far far away. read more

I wish I could give this place no stars, they are that horrible. One of the girls at the front desk has a serious problem, is very rude, and doesn't listen when you talk to her. She speaks very rudely in short sentences, almost treating you like a child. Her attitude is "whatever, who cares". My 11 month old daughter came down with a fever of 104 and I immediately called her doctor and I spoke to Mahoney. She told me its probably a virus, nothing to worry about and that I should keep an eye on her for a few more days and if she doesn't get better, I should bring her in. I brought her in and She saw Dr. Kaplen. He checked her ears and said she's had an ear infection. I explained to him that she's been having horrible fevers and lethargy the past 3 days and he said she is probably just "sweating out the ear infection". He prescribed her Amoxicilin. I gave it to her the next morning. The next day comes and my little girl is on the floor totally blue and unresponsive. I immediately took her to the ER and she ended up staying at the hospital for 5 days due to a horrible UTI that infected her kidney as well. I went through hell that whole week because the doctors did so many tests on her trying to figure out what it was, as it turned out, she had a e.coli infection. Talk about serious misdiagnosis. Then of course, I went back because my son was not doing well, and I had an appointment at 11am. I always make sure I am there early, better than late. The woman upfront tells me Dr. Mundell is in a meeting and she will see me in 15 minutes. I said that's fine, I can wait 15 min. Well, the next thing you know, its 12:10pm with no doctor in sight. They kept sending nurses in to tell me the doctor will be in "shortly". As soon as I saw that I have been waiting in that examination room for over an hour due to their meeting, I grabbed my stuff and walked out. The doctor came out and said I was going to be next, I just said I have someplace to be and i can't wait any longer. Everyone kept apologizing blah blah blah and all I heard and what was evident to me is that these people don't care if you are sitting there an hour or two. My question is, why not send in another doctor? I was the only one in that waiting room when I showed up at 10:55am and my appointment was 11am. Its not like I HAD to see their pediatrician, they schedule me with random doctors in that place and this time they could have send someone else in while the other doctor was at her meeting. I am very disappointed with their services. They make you wait and wait only to brush you off and misdiagnose your child. How fair is it that they make you wait for over an hour, but if you are late at least 15 minutes, they make you reschedule your appointment. I totally understand if they were swamped with other patients and there was a shortage of doctors. I remember waiting 2 hours once because they were so busy. However, to keep me waiting because she was in a meeting is unacceptable. It just tells me they really really really don't give a damn about my children. Just horrible service and Im so glad I left that place. If you want your kid to be properly treated, go someplace else. read more

Everytime I call or go to this office there's a problem. My 3 kids went to this drs office for since birth, we moved to philly for 8 months so I took them to a different Dr in philly when we moved back in the area I called to set my kids up wit appointments n that's where the drama began. I filled out a record release form over a month ago n they still haven't received my records. I went back n forth wit their office manager trying to get my kids physicals after 3 weeks of my phone calls not being returned n headaches Someone at the front desk finally looked on some database that all drs use to submit immunization records. She gave me an appointment for my 1 year old for the next day I said I had to work n I would check wit his dad to see if he could get off to take him to the appointment. Well dad wasn't able to so I had to call n cancel. A week later I called to set up the appointment again n was giving a date for a month later (this was yesterday). This morning I get a call from the drs. Office saying they wouldn't see my kids n I should find another drs office because I didn't call to cancel an appointment. When I tried to explain that I did call to cancel she said I don't no what to tell u. When I asked for the office manager she said he's busy I'll have him call you. I explained that the office told me that before n the office Manger never returned my call the last time I had an issue she said I don't no what to tell u. This place is the worst they are rude n unorganized. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more
