We went from tears in the parking lot to smiles within two minutes. The receptionist was so upbeat and engaging with her and of course the fun wall decor and cartoons on the TV helped. Our hygienist was fun and so knowledgeable in her recommendations. She was sure to involve my daughter throughout the process and kept her laughing and smiling. The dentist kept it going and they were both sure to smother her in compliments. I felt the cleaning was smooth and thorough as well. The office is dated and needs some upgrading but it was clean and welcoming to children. There are fun walls everywhere as well as TVs. Once the visit is over they get a token to choose a toy out of a dispenser. Brilliant idea!

Unfortunately I had numerous dental issues that had to be addressed, including extractions, crowns and bridge work. All of my visits were beyond satisfactory, the latest one today being prepped for bridge work. I am scheduled to go back on March 7 for the permanent bridge. The quality of care was exceptional, performed with diligence and kindly concern. The office experience, from ease of scheduling to check-out, was also excellent. Then two weeks later she went in for her 6 month cleaning. Dr. Leblanc saw her for a very short time and said she had two cavities. I called the office that Friday to get some insight on staff findings and wanted clarification on the differences between the two visits, only two weeks apart. They had two hours to call me back. They did not. I called with 15 min left of their work day and staff confirmed that Dr. Leblanc received my message and discussed my daughter's appointments. Yet they felt the need to skip out for the weekend and not return my call. We went to another dentist the following week and got additional X-rays. Guess what...no cavities and too soon to see an oral surgeon for 3rd molars. This dentist is rude, rushes and wanted to drill into my child's teeth for no acceptable reason.

I don't know what was…read moregoing through my head but we arrived an hour early (I had even written down the correct time in my calendar). the woman who checked us in told me that it would probably be at least 45 minutes, but they had a play room and we were welcome to stay. since I had a few errands to run, we did those and then headed back and went straight into the playroom. it didn't hurt that my little guy's favorite movie (Toy Story 3) was playing. about 10 minutes later, the hygienist came to get us. my little guy loved laying back in the chair and brushing the stuffed fish's teeth. he was very cooperative, but while we were waiting for the dentist, he was starting to get antsy. she arrived moments later and had a padded board so he could lay across our knees so she could look at his teeth. she was great with him and he even let her put a polish over his teeth without being too squirmy. she gave me a lot of great advice about when to give him juice and milk and reassured me that the binky he uses to sleep isn't messing up his teeth. she also showed me the best way to brush his teeth. my little guy even had the honor of being the best patient of the morning and for that he was able to grab and extra toy out of the toy box. I only hope all of his dentist experiences are this painless.

I found Blue Valley Pediatrics on a local Facebook mom group that was recommended by many. It's relatively close to my work so I took a shot and my daughter and me are hooked! Scheduling an appointment was easy and I was able to do all the initial paperwork online before the appointment. Everyone was so friendly and the vibe here was so calm and relaxed. My daughter was smiling and laughing throughout her appointment and her hygienist explained everything in such a kid friendly way. Such a better experience than Parks Pediatric Dentistry. That visit did NOT go well, and she wouldn't even open her mouth for them to count her teeth. A year later, I finally decided to try a new dentist to make sure her teeth were looking good, and discovered Sweet Tooth. I was very anxious about her appointment that she might meltdown like the last attempt, but was very pleasantly surprised. She let them do x-rays at the beginning, and happily followed all of the hygienist's instructions from that point on! They had a TV mounted on the ceiling playing Bluey (genius!) which helped to distract her, and they made her feel comfortable the entire time. So relieved to have her teeth fully cleaned, counted and checked by the dentist finally. Afterwards, she got to spin the prize wheel and won a token for a bouncy ball, which was a big hit.
