So, friendly advice: triple-check your insurance before you go. They absolutely will not see you without it, and your child may have enough time in the waiting room to learn orthodontics themselves.

I was seen by Dr. Bryan Shewanick last week on Christmas Eve for an emergency appointment for a…read morebroken tooth that lost a post and crown. He was very kind and gentle. He listened to my concerns and was able to help me with a RX of antibiotics to relieve the infection and pain until I was able and willing to get my tooth pulled. He was able to do it that day but I shared with him my extreme nervousness with the procedure. He scheduled me on Monday with his colleague, Dr. Alborno, as the office was closed the rest of the holiday week. He gave me a RX to take the evening before and morning of the procedure to aid me with my nerves and extreme fear. He told me his colleague, Dr. Meshal Alborno is great at this procedure and also enjoys helping people through this procedure. I was still very nervous about the extraction as I was also getting a bone graft to aid in the future implant. His kindness and chair-side manner was very appreciated. Sunday evening I took the RX I was given to help calm my nerves to allow me a bit of rest. Monday morning I took the other dose of the RX to help me calm my nerves. I meet with Dr. Alborno as soon as I was taken back by the Dental Assistant Adam. Adam was a very calming person and explained everything he was doing to prepare for the procedure, he even offered me a blanket. I told him I was very nerves and scared and he informed the Doctor. Doctor Alborno was in the room very soon after I was taken back which was awesome because I was thinking of reasons I could back out. He introduced himself and told me that he was informed I was very nervous. He told me about his training as well as his passion for removal of teeth and patient care. He went over what was going to happen as well as what to do if I was to feel any pain. He made conversation to ensure I was comfortable, I believe asking me what my favorite food was. I asked him to be very gentle and cautious because I have a crown on one side and a dental implant on the other side of the planned extraction site. Once it was time for the injection of anesthetic, he was gentle and Adam tapped my shoulder explaining it helps keep the pain under control or trick the brain. They both were so very kind and understanding of my fear and nerves. I was about to cry but their care comforted me and helped with my fears. After ensuring the anesthetic was working the doctor went to work. It was very fast and almost painless. The injections were the only painful part and they both did it well. The best I have ever had to be honest. The extraction was quick. I was impressed it was out before I knew it. There was no excessive pressure or jarring motions. They placed the bone graft, the biological dressing and began stitching my gums up. After they took an few X rays to ensure it all was good. I am so very thankful for the care and kindness they both showed me throughout the procedure, especially because I stated I hate the dentist almost first thing when I sat in the chair. Dr. Alborno was the best doctor that I have ever had extract my teeth. I have had 6 other implants so at least 6 other teeth extracted and he was the best and again so gentle and caring. Adam was just as kind and caring. After the procedure was done they both gave me great and practical post op instructions. I couldn't be more grateful for the way I was treated in your office each time I have come. Today was the best I could ask for. Thank you again for the help

I flew in for procedures that only my dentist could perform in one day and found out my dentist was no longer there when I arrived for my appointment...it had been scheduled for 8 months and the provider gone for a few...didnt get a notification or heads up although my email and address were up to date. I found out they notified other patients, just not me...great customer service, especially since I held off on this work for such a long time and even took a day off of work to fly in early specifically for this. After my experience with this staff face to face, I pin it down to incompetence or laziness. To add to that (and the purpose for this review) I received a bill for my visit FOUR MONTHS LATER....when I did my own investigation (because I truly don't trust this office staff) I saw that the insurance paid their portion of the balance in the early first week of August...the bill I received was dated 11/11...again, incompetence or laziness? I haven't lived in Kansas for many years, but always maintained my relationship with this office because of the OUTSTANDING customer service and communication. The old expectations of awesome service are gone, replaced by new, much lower standards. I would absolutely avoid if at all possible.

Still seeing Dr. Jon Willingham for my dental care, and I'm still very satisfied with the quality…read moreof care and the service at the front desk. It's a pretty busy practice, but they know my name when I come in, and I don't go that frequently (usually twice a year for cleanings and exams). I went to Dr. Willingham this afternoon for the first visit to get a crown put on an old molar that had a huge filling. The tooth finally broke (after 40 years of being filled) and a crown is necessary. Dr. Willingham seems to be very careful and thorough doing this kind of work. He's done other crowns for me, and they've all been fine and given no problems after they were put on. I tend to be a bit resistant to dental anesthesia -- it takes a while for me to become really numb, and it often takes some extra doses to do the trick. Dr. Willingham has been very patient about that, and has been very attentive to whether or not I was feeling any sensation while he's drilling away! I've also been pleased with the dental cleanings I've had here -- the hygienists are pleasant and seem to be very thorough. I tend to get gingivitis easily, but since being on a regular schedule for cleanings every six month my gums are in much better shape. My only quibble has been over billing -- at times I've gotten bills for services that should have been covered by my dental insurance. (It's compounded by the fact that I've got confusing primary and secondary dental insurance.) However, it's always been easy to straighten out any problems, and their staff is good about working with the insurance companies to get my coverage to stretch as far as it can! If you need a good dentist out in JoCo, I can recommend Dr. Willingham and Oak Park Dental.

So I was at a hobby lobby waiting to buy some yarn so I can finally finish my husband's codpiece for a costume we're working on. I looked over to see a cute little boy grabbing for some candy-while his mom kept saying no! Although I lost my teeth due to an autoimmune disorder-I let the child know that he did not need the candy or he would lose his teeth. He gave me a disgruntled look and went about his business while Mom thanked me. He would occasionally look over at me just to *make sure* I knew that I ruined his candy grab. This is when I took the opportunity to adjust my denture, although I never really need to adjust it because it's a perfect fit, but I needed to drive my point home had the kid been able to tell that my teeth were fake- this would have never worked out! And truthfully, every day of my life is better because I have teeth that look real and feel natural- today was just a funny situation that I wanted to share. I meet a lot of people that can really use the services at Summit, although it makes for very awkward conversation if they don't know about my situation- but you're obviously reading the reviews for a reason so I'll tell you what sealed the deal for me. I am certainly no stranger to dentists and all things dental related. My patience had been at the end of the line before I met Dr Calloway. He listened carefully, he understood my very complicated situation, and presented me with a plan. At the time I was working with several other dentists who just weren't hitting the mark for me. I was quick to throw Calloway at the top of my list just based on our very straightforward initial consultations. It was shortly after this thought when Dr Calloway leaned back into his counter with his arms crossed and a massive grin and told me something like "I can't wait to give you the perfect set of teeth" Although we're still working towards a full denture, my interim piece is pretty amazing. Of course there's always an adjustment period-but it didn't take very long for me to get back to a normal routine. A warning to parents:…read more We called the after hours line due to our 4-year old experiencing pain and crying consistently. We had previously had dental work done here. The on call Dr told me and I quote, "pain does not constitute an emergency". There's nothing we can do without seeing him, yet, refusing to see him. I want to warn other parents that this is what they can expect to encounter at this practice. I was just shocked and appalled at how quickly they brushed me off and their unwillingness to help.

Most of my appointments are early, at 8, when they first open, so I don't have to wait long. They give me just enough time to grab a cup of coffee from the Kuerig. They have a full coffee bar with three different creamers, syrup to add, all in addition to a plentiful stock of K-Cups. If you do need to wait, they have a Wii in a little room with a flat screen tv. The receptionist is on top of insurance, and asks a couple questions verifying current address, phone number, etc. The dental hygienist took me to the chair after about five minutes of waiting. I told her I had a meeting at 8, and she said well let's gets you taken care of. She cleaned my teeth, talking me through everything she was about to do. She made pleasant conversation, as some dentists are better than others at a single sided conversation, then if I wanted to say something she would remove the tools and let me speak. Dr Katie Watson was out on maternity leave. Her replacement was a younger lady who examined everything, poked around a little bit, showed me some exposed areas where there might be a threat of sensitivity, let me know what they could do if it bothered me, and voila! All done in 35 minutes. I had a very pleasant experience, and this was my second visit here I highly recommend Stone Post Dental.

They have a comfortable and elegant waiting area (including a Keurig!) My hygienist is careful but thorough so I'm never in pain but get the maximum clean. She always provides little recommendations if I'd like an even better smile; which I appreciated. She recommended an electric toothbrush, which I purchased and saw great improvements. Now I've been more dedicated to my flossing, which she also suggested. Dr. Watson is so sweet. She always comes in for the final check. They are good about taking photos and x-rays when needed, but never suggest things you don't really need or shouldn't be worrying about. Always a wonderful experience! I'm so glad I met Dr. Watson and began using her for my dental needs!
