When I was searching for a pediatrician before I had my daughter I looked up info about the references I had from my OBGYN. When I called to ask about new patients Dr. Sweeten's staff took my information, provided me with clinic specifics, and let me know there was nothing else I needed until baby was born. When my daughter was born about a week later she came to see her in the hospital and visited her throughout the weekend. On my first office visit we received a Comprehensive Associates onesie along with a red tutu as a welcome baby gift. She is thoughtful, kind, and has excellent bedside manner. Oh-- another plus is she actually has some type of student service learning partnership with a nearby university which I LOVE because she is training up our next generation of pediatricians. If you choose Dr. Sweeten I promise you wont regret it. :)

I called on Tuesday and the receptionist had the nerve to be rude when I kindly explained our concern and needs. She said that in her notes they told us 3 weeks ago 'to do XYZ' which was completely untrue (are you adding false call notes to his medical records??) We also paid for genetic testing and never got the results. When I called to ask for the status (3 months later), they said 'oh, we can email them to you.' But didn't know when. What were they waiting on? These are too many errors for our liking.

They had a newborn seminar a month before I gave birth and I am glad they did. It was a great introduction to learn about their office and their physicians. The thing that attracted me to them was their professionalism and commitment to being available for their patients. They have extended hours for those who may not be available during the morning hours. You can go on nights and weekends. With that said, I chose Dr. Yani as our pediatrician. At the newborn, seminar his personality was very straightforward, he was knowledgable, and he seemed very patient and kind. I have been taking my baby boy for the past 6 months and I can say he has been all of those things. He is very reassuring, kind, patient, and available. Anytime I call him or text him, he is quick to respond. He does everything in his power to make sure that parents are not making unnecessary visits to the hospital. He has provided my family and I with a peace of mind. Office visits are normally smooth. When we check in, it's not long before we are called to the back. A nurse takes us to our room and get right into checking vitals, milestones, and explaining the process of the visits and the treatment/shots that he will be receiving. Since there are a good number of doctors, scheduling and rescheduling appointments is very convenient; you can even schedule on the day of if needed. For those sudden sicknesses, they have a sick waiting room and also a well patient waiting room for check-ups. We also love the convenient online check-in that can be completed from home. If completed before arrival, you can just quickly check in with the receptionist then head to the waiting room -- no refilling out papers every visit!
