If I could give this place minus 10 stars I would.. HORRIFIC conditions that the pets there live in..... Every visit there you can see the misery and filth that these poor babies lie in and the staff could care less. Not to mention that this place is keeping local puppy mills in business. My daughter's puppy had so many health issues after it was purchased here. Luckily it's now fine after 100's of dollars... but this is no life for these sweet dogs and cats. Yesterday I was SOOO Happy to see the sign that it is finally closed!!! Pedigree Pet Shop - Happy to report that this puppy mill petshop is closed!!!!! - Pet Stores Near Me - Lone Tree, Colorado

We just bought a puppy here. Took her to the vet and she has bad bacteria in her poop. She has to be on antibiotics for a week. Other than that she is very healthy and the vet said this is common in pet store puppies. If you get a dog from here, please take it to the vet ASAP and have them do a fecal test! It was 32 dollars and worth it! Overall we were happy with the experience, Paige was extremely patient with us and a great help. read more

Rude staff member ruins this place. My partner and I have stopped into this location on a few occasions to see a sweet little Brussels Griffon they have had for quite sometime. We have been kind of going back and forth about the affordability of the puppy so stop in on occasion to see if her price has dropped. Each occasion we have visited the store the same young female staff member has been there, and on each occasion she has been rude, dismissive, and disrespectful. In fact my partner wouldn't even go into the store this time because she was working this evening. Today was the last straw. I stopped in to ask about the puppy price and was cut off "she's still $600 and she's not going down in price even if she's here in 2 months, which she probably will be" Wow! I then asked if I could have the managers/owners contact information which she declined to give me. Advice: This staff member should be dismissed as she clearly doesn't know how to interact with customers and has a blatant bad attitude which is clearly affecting sales. We will not be stopping by again and when we decide to add another puppy to our family we will purchase from "Just Pets" where we bought or current dog as their staff is warm and friendly. read more

I estimated that over 50 puppies were for sale in this pet store located at the Park Meadows mall. With it's posh persona, Park Meadows is the perfect mall to house a pet store centric to selling designer dogs. I have a hard time believing that any of the puppies for sale don't come from puppy mills or backyard breeders, but I have no proof of my assumption. I do, however, discourage buying a puppy from this store. read more

This place was terrible. The woman told me I couldn't hold the pets on weekends and the puppies were begging to get out. She said "sometimes" they let them out of the little glass box they're stuck in. There was shit everywhere around the puppies. In fact it made me and my whole family so pissed and sad, we left the whole mall. It's so sad to see animals treated like this. read more

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS STORE!!!!! I bought a dog there, and they tell you that they will give you the papers within 8-12 weeks. But the paperwork says 16 weeks. Well it has been over 16 weeks! My girlfriend and I went into this location today and were merely speculating about the puppies' health and breeding conditions with each other. My girlfriend made a comment about how her friend bought a puppy from a *similar store* that died within days because it was unhealthy. Apparently one of the rude store clerks didn't like this and attempted to confront my girlfriend. The clerk was unprofessional, glared at her, and loudly proclaimed "Excuse me!?", then proceeded to give her dirty looks the remainder of our visit (we just ignored her). If anything, the unnamed clerk should have directed her disapproval at me for my breeding comments, but either way, it was completely unprofessional for her to act this way. I also still question the condition of the animals although I must do further research. Please do the same. read more

I purchased a puppy (Boston Terrier / Beagle mix) there a year ago, and he has been wonderful and happy, easy to train, and the perfect addition to my life. The staff was very knowledgeable, and very VERY patient with me (we visited with Rufus every single day for a week), and all of the animals seemed to be well taken care of and loved very much. He had parasites at first, but the vet explained to me that it is really common. They covered the cost of the vet bills until he had cleared the parasites. All in all, a wonderful experience. read more

On June 6, 2008 The Pedigree Pet Shop Park Meadows Mall My daughter and I had been shopping at Park Meadows and decided to look at the puppies in The Pedigree Pet Store. We were so disgusted by the conditions the puppies were living. Some small cages had 5-6 puppies. More then one very LARGE puppies in one cage could barely move. All the puppies were stepping in feces and urine. ALL the cages had feces in the cages. Some had feces all over the food bowls. Most all the puppies had feces on their paws. Some of the puppies had stepped in their feces then smeared it on the windows as the jumped up...More then one cage only had cage footing with no cushion under them. We had stayed to observe this for about 30 minutes to see what the workers had been doing. All the time we were there they stood around drinking sodas and just answering questions. We bought a puppy from this store in Dec 2010. She appeared fine at first, but eventually started having hip issues at 12 weeks old. After seeing a vet, she needed a complete hip replacement ($2,000). Of course we would not return her, but wanted the store to know that we had incurred many costs associated with this so called "healthy" puppy.She also had worms, kennel cough and giardia. Per contract instructions, we brought in a letter, the copy of the xrays and the bill. The owner, Lori, has never called us back. She keeps saying" I will call you on Friday". and its now been 2 months. The owner has lack of service, an F rating with the BBB, and many, many complaints. I wish I had investigated her before I bought this sweet puppy. read more

Was taking my daughter to Claire's which is right next door so of course she wanted to look at the puppies. Absolutely disgusting. The two teenagers working there were too busy to notice or care that half the cages/ kennels were filthy with feces some being diarrhea. The kennels were PACKED. For the smaller breeds there were about 7 puppies in one. Unacceptable. Listen, we all know where these puppies come from in the first place but to continue on with dirty and overcrowded conditions is deplorable. I would NEVER support a business like this..... I was there today, 6/29/14, with my daughter and this store was disgusting with filthy kennels. there were too many dogs in one kennel. no water or food for them and they were eating their feces. diarrhea too. a large black poodle dog was in a too small kennel and ate his feces. they were fighting. a friend bought a two dogs and they have parvo. no blankets or comfort. THIS IS ANIMAL ABUSE!! They don't even get walked or exercised. Left in kennels all night long. the help was rude and didn't care about the animals. this place needs to be shut down as a puppy mill. I am not surprised by the mention of bacteria and parasites in the below comments. I know two people who have purchased a dog from the Pedigree Pet Shop. One dog, who was a puppy when adopted by my friend, died within six months due to a liver disease. His behavior was skittish and unpredictable and her experience with the dog was not a good one. Another close friend of mine has owned a Terrier from this pet shop for around 7 years. "Sparky" suffers from diabetes, blindness in one eye, and cannot be off-leash even in his own house. I have yet to meet one person who can walk into the Pedigree Pet Shop without feeling enraged or heartbroken at the sight of miserable dogs - weak from a lack of exercise and attention. During my most recent visit to the mall, I watched through the glass as two dogs attacked a runt, cowering in the corner of its glass prison. Not one worker took the time to break up the fight- glancing at the cage as they completed a sale. The conditions in which these animals are kept is unacceptable and it sickens me to hear of the consequences. I would not suggest purchasing an animal from the Pedigree Pet Shop if you want your pet to be in good health. I also discourage any support of this store as it is inhumane and careless when it comes to the treatment of its animals. read more
