My dog was severely injured while at City Bark Parker this past summer. Her injury required multiple emergency rooms visits and medications. She was so hurt that my husband had to carry her to the car when she was picked up from City Bark Parker. City Bark did try and call us the night we flew back (at 6 pm - we picked her up at 7 am the next day) but they didn't leave a message or answer when we tried to return the call. So we didn't know she was injured until we arrived. They did reimburse us for the first vet bill but the total amassed to almost $3000, which was not all covered. But most importantly, our dog was in pain for days (our vet told us - and even called City Bark because of the clear neglect) without treatment. If you love your dog, I would not recommend sending them here. Also, they lost her dog bed and leash and she smelled strongly like urine when picked her up read more

We dropped our GSD off for an afternoon of play. Got into the movie theatre and after we were situated, I checked to find her on their webcam. NOPE...couldn't see her in the room where the dogs were playing, the room she is always in. For the next 90 minutes I checked --- and then there were no dogs anywhere. I thought maybe they were in kennels for a short break? Finally, I called at around 5:00pm to find all the dogs had left and she was alone. I asked if she was in a kennel and was told yes, but they would take her out for potty breaks soon? "Mother's Intuition" kicked in, I didn't care about losing the $50. we just spent at the movie, we left and headed to get her. I don't want to take up all your time with the very unsettling, unpleasant, unsatisfying, and even uncaring attitude of the three who I met who were sitting around doing nothing. No apologies that not one of them would play with our pup - they had nothing but time on their hands and just left her. The worst was how she reacted when we picked her up, and it was obvious she was upset. No one took her potty because she cried until we could let her out of the car to go potty. In the house she drank two complete bowls of water immediately, and she was whining. She is not used to being left kenneled like that these days. The attitude of everyone there was so, how do I say this? They didn't give a damn about how I felt. The girl at the register quickly stated...that will be $27. Never again, ever. read more

I had high hopes for City Bark. But, once again, let down by another pet boarding. Dropped off my dog, for a one night trial run. When I picked her up at 10am, and looked into my bag, her dry food, snack & breakfast had never been given. One front desk employee ran off, leaving another young girl to try & figure out what was posted in the computer. I asked her if she could find out if my dog was fed some other breakfast, & she said they would call. Never got a call. She didn't charge me for the night. The dog was not fed, due to her voracious appetite that day. Won't be going back. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. My dog was bitten and attacked while at daycare. They didn't tell me when my dog was picked up. I had to discover his injury on my own. My dog was hurt so extensively that he needed emergency medical attention. I contacted this awful business and they said they would pay the vet bill, this was 2 months ago. I have yet to see any re-payment of the medical bills incurred. I've been told several times "the check in the mail." I have never received a check in the mail. Now I'm out the money for daycare plus over $400 in vet bills! I would stay far far away from this awful business if you value the healthy and safety of your pet. read more

I took my 2 CavaTzu's to City Bark after moving back to the Parker area. They had a cancellation so I got them in the next day. They ooze love of dogs and my 2 were so well groomed and taken care of. 2 hrs is fast and they let me keep them there while I finished up my meetings. I'm so happy I found my long term groomer. No clue why we kept going back. We took our dog there about half a dozen times. Only half (maybe) went to plan. If we brought something it was a 50/50 chance you would get it back. We brought a full bag of food and we left for 4 days it was almost gone. They lost a $50 training collar. The worst was we got our pet back matted in blood with three holes in her. The wounds were a couple days old. You would have noticed if you petted her at all. She had to be taken to vet for pain meds and antibiotics. I called and notified them and they were unaware and said it could be "rough play". When I shot them the pictures they did an "investigation" ! Totally a BS response What did they do, well at least to they paid for the vet bill. Sorry but not good enough we should get our pet back the way we dropped them off. The pain for both us and our animal, with time going to vet, dealing with an injured dog, meds etc was the last straw. Don't use them. You animals will be staying in a sub par facility!! read more

Their boarding services are okay. Plenty of workers out around the dogs. But their grooming services....STAY AWAY. The lady literally cut the tip of my dogs tail off....LIKE AN ENTIRE INCH OF TAIL. No joke...it's been bleeding off and on for 5 days and his tail is noticeably shorter. Worst part is she blamed it on us because we requested his tail be less feathery and more evenly trimmed (he's a golden doodle). AND...She still charged us for the grooming services!!! Let me start by saying, I have no idea how City Bark Parker is in business, other than the fact it was once an outstanding business and the fact they provide little detail on their website regarding the services they're providing. Other reviews mention a change in ownership has brought the place down, although I cannot confirm the ownership detail. We started using City Bark Parker about 5 years ago and our dogs loved to go. Our dogs are easy going and love to play with other dogs. Over the last year or so, our dogs began refusing to get out of the car as we were dropping them off. This behavior led me to begin trying to understand what had changed. Since the pandemic began, they do not allow customers inside the establishment, but do have cameras that occasionally work in the playrooms and outside areas, not the kennels though, which is where our dogs mainly stay. During our last few trips, the cameras have been functional, so I began looking for our dogs and found it was very rare to see them out, which was strange since we were paying for "full day daycare". There were several dogs packed in tiny rooms being constantly sprayed with water bottles, but not ours. I called and spoke to one of the workers who informed me, "Full day daycare is from 10-4pm with 2 additional 30-minute potty breaks outside of that window." During a previous visit, I called to inquire why I could not locate our dogs and a worker mentioned our dogs may be at nap to allow the employees to have a lunch break. Obviously, this is before I knew they only had 6 hours to play in the first place, or we would have cut ties with City Bark at that time. So, I emailed to ask if the full day daycare might be less that 6 hours to accommodate lunches and the young woman informed me that could be the case and it was confirmed to be true. At this point I'm thinking, who would ever bring their dogs to City Bark if they knew this information and began looking for service descriptions on their website. The only mention of any time I could find states "Half-Day Play offers up to 5 hours of play for your furry family member." Now I'm even more confused since full day is best case 6 hours. I'm now furious and advised my wife it may be best if she retrieves the dogs. She does and asked out of curiosity what the half day dogs receive if we only receive 6? She was advised half day dogs get 7-1pm, which is no different than full day. Furthermore, since lunch overlaps, they are likely to not receive their full play time either. We simply advised we'll never be back. Starting this trip City Bark also changed up their billing and provides a "Receipt for Appointment" which, come to find out, is a detailed invoice of the services they are expecting to provide and finalized when we retrieve the dogs. Since I typically handle the pickup and drop-off, my wife was not all that familiar with billing and assumed a card was on file and heard "we'll charge your card on file" and left. It was an innocent mistake when you're trying to handle 2 crazy dogs who are excited to see her after being in a kennel ~18-20 hours a day, for 9 days. Instead of contacting us, they called the Douglas County Sheriff's office. This did not really change the review as I was planning to post regardless, but some nice icing on top. One other thing to note about City Bark, while they have a curbside drop off and pickup, it's rare for the worker to greet you to be wearing a mask. So, you may want to seek alternative options if you're planning to see your loved ones. Whether you love or hate this place, I would imagine anyone who continues to use their services would enjoy knowing what they're receiving since, as far as I can tell, it's nowhere to be found on their site and likely very different than you may have received in the past if you've been a patron for any length of time. read more

They do a good job with grooming, the lady is friendly and does a good job. I am not a fan of their boarding requirements and process. For example, they require some flu shot that your dog very likely doesn't have (my vet laughed when I asked about it) so if you want to use them plan on adding that cost and headache. read more

We boarded our dog here for 2 weeks while we were out of town. He was picked up on the weekends by a family member and he smelt like pee 3 different days and one day was actually soaked in it, and he pooped immediately when he walked out of the building. He can hold it for 12 hours if he needs so he must not have been taken out at all for him to do this. When we spoke to the facility about this they kept trying to change the topic or just say they would do better but would never compensate for their mistakes. Now that we have gotten back into town he is extremely skinny, and had extreme diarrhea and is vomiting. We are now having to take him to an emergency hospital due to whatever work or virus he contracted from this irresponsible place. Do not recommend bringing any animal here! read more

Our deaf Great Dane LOVES City Bark! We always get cute little updates and they let us know how her day went. When we first moved to CO she had a lot of separation anxiety so we took her to daycare everyday while we were at work. I'm always a bit leery of how people will perceive our girl because she can be quite vocal and knows hand signals, but the staff took time to learn her signals and quirks, which made me feel great about handing out special lady over to them! read more

I have been overcharged twice now in the past two months. They ask you to make a reservation online where you fill out the specifics. However, when you arrive at dropoff, they make you fill out a form that does not include the same options. I ended up being charged for things that I had not wanted in my online reservation. The young woman stated they were switching over to a new system but did not offer to refund my money. We have a cat and as far as I know this location and the 8th Ave location take cats. We visited both, but preferred the Parker location: When I visited the Parker location, they told me the cat was not going to be left running around while cleaning out the cage. I was told that is to prevent the spreading of diseases. I like that. Several of the employees in Parker were cat people and I was told that they may get one or two cats a month. This was good news. We left our cat there for a week - we considered paying the extra money for a half hour playtime ($15 for a half hour session). It wasn't necessary since our cat got lots of attention from them while she was there. They returned her in good health. She even seemed to be groomed while she was there - her coat was silky smooth. We were sightly worried about leaving our cat at any place for a week, but felt we had made the right choice with City Bark after our experience. I would recommend this place anytime! Also - I have communicated with the owner (Nicole D) of the biz and she is very prompt to address any concerns. I have to admire that. In January (2022), we had a last minute emergency and I had to board my 1 year old and 6 year old Goldens. They are happy, well behaved dogs. They lived and didn't get sick so I guess that's the basics. The staff were rude and wouldn't let me look at the care facilities because of "covid" although the five of them were hanging out unmasked behind the counter and in the kennels were DOGS. They showed me a picture on their phone. I was told the staff go home at 5:00 or 6:00 pm so the dogs have to remain in their indoor kennels unsupervised and with no potty breaks until they return at 6:30 am. When I told them there was no way my younger dog could wait that long, they said it was fine, because they were used to that. Like I said, the dogs lived through it but they were very stressed out and clingy for the next week. I will not use this business again. read more

I have two mini schnauzers that have been boarded here, and that have joined in on doggy daycare as well. They seem to really care about the dogs, and after having seen my dogs be hesitant about going to other boarding/daycare venues, it's relieving to see my dogs be so excited to come here. I have taken my one-year-old boxer here a few times, he comes back tired and that is usually the goal because he has so much energy all the time. I bring him to daycare so that he doesn't have to be alone all day, I pay for him to have fun and know he is safe... until he comes home with a missing patch of hair, the top of his head is bleeding, and side of his face is scratched up and bleeding. This tells me that someone wasn't watching close enough and who knows what could happen. Very disappointing. I have not once been warned that his play is physical so he may have some scratches, or that he has ever needed to take a break from playing because he was getting too rough. Not one employee pointed out his injuries or mentioned a thing. Also, their cameras never work! convenient...​ Not happy and will probably never go to this facility again. read more

Our Alice loves City Bark Parker!! She is 9 and not used to being around other dogs in that type of setting. On her first daycare visit I was a little worried about how she would do. The wonderful loving staff made her first visit a great one!! Her visits to doggy daycare are such a treat for her now. She comes home so happy, and usually exhausted from having way too much fun!! We also love the convenience of having grooming services available, too. Knowing she enjoys it, and that she's in such capable, caring hands, helps alleviate a lot a the guilt when I need to have her boarded ;-) Great facility, very clean, and a terrific staff!! My dog (a Cairn Terrier) went City Bark Parker for day care starting in February 2012 until April 2013 and only stopped going there when we moved across the country. I would recommend it to anyone. It's the best doggie day care in the Metro area. I looked for months for a day care center for my dog, and City Bark is the only place in the Metro area I would consider sending my dog. They are careful to thoroughly interview and evaluate dogs before they can attend day care. They are great about grouping the dogs by both size and temperament, which is great for my small but high energy dog. The staff are incredibly friendly and it's clear they love dogs and endeavor to build a relationship with the dogs that come in. The playrooms are great and the outdoor play area has lots of fun obstacles. I really appreciate that they keep the play groups small and that there is always a staff member in every playroom all the time. It's also great that you can watch the webcams to see what your dog is doing. City Bark offers a variety of packages for both day care and boarding. My dog attended day care for three to four 1/2 days a week. She never boarded, but I do like that dogs who are boarding get to participate in doggie day care as well so they're not sitting in cages the entire time their owners are away. I've toured the boarding part of the facility and the kennels are large and roomy. There's also the option to reserve a carpeted and more private suite with a TV for your dog. read more

We really like the location of this since its so close to home. We don't board except for vacations or weekend getaways which amounts to 3-4 times a year. The people and facility are nice but there's two issues I have a problem with. You have to fill out paperwork every time. What a drag, I mean really, put me in the system and save it. But the second is a deal breaker and forced us to look for another. Out of the last 4 times our dog has been there she got sick twice. The first time was kennel cough and the second time she kept using the bathroom 2-3 times during the night. This lasted for 2-3 days and I haven't forgot about it since. I'd go back but they'd first need to upgrade their check-in process and tighten up their dog health policy. read more

I took my large breed dog for 2 days of doggie day care and was very pleased. I had to come in for a brief assessment before he could be dropped off and that process was very quick and easy. The drop-offs and pick up were quick and easy too. The staff were very friendly - we were greeted warmly, they knew his name already even though we were just there for a couple of days. City Bark Parker and it's staff are just fabulous. I have been bringing my dog here for 2 years now - it started as a way to socialize my 1 year old adopted dog and has turned into a great place for my dog to play, play and play. She knows as soon as I make the turn that she's going to City Bark and boy does she get excited. She loves the pool and readily goes to the people there with a wagging tail! Every ounce of care is taken for the safety of the pets and I trust them thoroughly for the care of my dog. They contact you and let you know if they have any concern over the pet's health and/or if your pet has been misbehaving. My dog has boarded at City Bark quite a few times and she's always been in great shape when I pick her up. There is no kennel smell whatsoever which means they take pride in keeping their facility squeaky clean - and I mean squeaky clean. They have lots of options for you to choose from for day care, boarding and grooming. Their hours are fantastic, the staff is very friendly and personable and you can tell they care about your pet 'cause they each give you and your dog attention. I love City Bark and trust the facility completely. I actually like the experience of bringing my dog there just as much as she likes going there. We're convinced this is the ultimate pet playground and won't go anywhere else. read more

I can't say anything bad about this place.They care for my puppy pal as if she is their own. I have been interacting with the City Bark folks for 2 years. Whether it be just stopping by to photograph a pup that the staff is volunteering to foster or dropping off my own Great Dane so that she can have a fun-filled day of play... it is obvious that the staff of this organization has an unending love for animals. They have a fun app that allows you to watch your dog and all of their doggy friends throughout the day... I know it might make me a canine voyeur, but what can I say, I like to watch my puppy being happy and bouncing around with her pals. Their facility is incredible with indoor and outdoor play areas, an outdoor pool environment, suites for the dogs that will be enjoying some overnight spoiling, and their non-suite rooms are equally cozy. I recently used their grooming service for a quick nail trim and they did a fine job there too! All around, this is a great group of folks that I trust my beloved buddy with every week! read more

We love City bark. We have been taking our Aussie's there for several years and it has been a great experience. It is very well run and organized so it's easy to drop off and pick up. The staff is very knowledgeable seem to really care about the dogs. They have lots of separate rooms and an outdoor area with a swimming pool and each dog gets some personal attention and play time. We used the boarding this summer for the first time for a week and everything went great. It was so nice not to have to worry, knowing the pups were in good hands. read more

This place is absolutely wonderful. My Fiance and I have a very energetic 4 year old German Shepard mix, we used to take her twice a week because we were living in Westminster and working in Englewood, we have moved recently and only bring her in once every two weeks now. We still feel so welcomed and everyone knows our dog by name. We watch our dog on occasion on the live feed camera that they have set up and I always see the workers petting and loving on our dog. At the end of every day they always give me a progress report on how she is doing and she leaves tired and happy. read more

I have to share this because I am so beyond disappointed with the new General Manager at City Bark in Parker, CO. I don't know what happened to Todd but since he has been gone - the place is not the same. I have a Newfoundland named Duke and he has been going to City Bark since he was a puppy. Anyone that has a big dog know it comes with big expenses. If Duke gets hurt - it costs a lot of money. While Todd and his staff were there - they were amazing with Duke. They would let him play and then give him a rest and were happy to do it. A couple of weeks ago I took Duke to City Bark and when I picked him up he was limping. I asked why he was limping and they said they had no idea and rushed me out the door. I waited for a couple of weeks before I brought him back and his first day back was yesterday. The day Manager was there and I told her what happened and how I was nervous to have him come back and play and she assured me he would get lots of breaks. She even told me that she set timers on her phone to remind her when to give him a break. So incredibly sweet of her. She said that her General Manager was coming in and she would let her know about Duke and what he needs. When I went to pick him up I had the unfortunate experience of meeting this woman. She was awful. The first thing she says to me is "I have concerns about Duke being here. I don't think we can accommodate him here." She proceeded to tell me there are days that are too busy for him to get breaks and just focus on Duke. I proceeded to tell her how disappointed I was since Duke has been here since he was a puppy. It is like family for him. The staff loves him and they have NEVER had an issue giving Duke breaks. The earlier manager even said Saturdays would be a better day to bring him because it is not crowded. I thought that was a great suggestion and was willing to bring him in on a Saturday. It wasn't that she couldn't accommodate my dog - it is she refused to. So when I get Duke home last night he was sore and had to be medicated because she didn't give him any breaks. She kept saying she was sorry that I felt that way but she truly didn't care one bit. He had four days left and refunded me those days. I'm disappointed and sad that Duke will no longer be there. This place is not the same. There has been staff turn over and her management style is a sad state of affairs. So good bye to City Bark. We had a wonderful time there with Todd and the staff that used to be there. Beware. If you have a dog that has some special needs - this is not the place for your dog. The art of customer service has been lost at this place. Bring back Todd - that guy truly cared about each and everyone of those dogs and would have done anything for them. I was very impressed. I brought my dog to check it out (without an appointment). Without any notice, they showed me the entire property. It was very clean! Watching the employees (without their knowledge) it was evident that they all loved animals. They not only stand and watch the animals, they also get involved. Lily gets very excited to stay at City Bark when we go on vacation...when we pick her up it's nice that she is happy and doesn't have to go through an ajustment period. The employees are friendly, love their job, and enjoy every animal. I have looked online and watched my dog interacting with the other dogs. She was playing and running around getting exercise and having a good time. We used to board our dog at the Vet where she stayed in the kennel all day (2 15 minute walks a day). She would come home unhappy, it would take about 3 days for her to be her old self again. Lily only stays at City Bark now. I can't tell you happy we are that we found City Bark. It's nice to know when you are on vacation having fun your best friend is too. read more

So far we LOVE this place. My baby dog is 7yrs old, a (little!) spoiled and has never been to daycare. I interviewed 3 doggie daycares to find him a good spot; the 1st daycare was a 'heck no' for my dog, the next one was a 'meh', but as soon as we walked into City Bark I had a feeling of relief that I felt totally comfortable leaving my boy there. On his "interview day" I really appreciated that the girl took ample time to explain everything to me but mostly I appreciated this time with my dog in the lobby because that gave my dog plenty of time to get comfotable with this place without me just leaving him there. By the end of us talking on interview day, he was lounging around TOTALLY at ease with the place which normally takes some time for him. The girl was fabulous who took him for an interview and on his second day going there he happily followed the girl to the back which made me so happy to leave him there. They have so many activities for the dogs which is great but also the staff seems to really care about the dogs which makes me the most happy to leave him there. The only thing I wish is that their camera system was a little better so I could better see how much fun he was having, but that's not a big deal since I know he is taken care of. read more
