Awesome skate park. Came on a Friday and closed at 8pm. The crowd was medium and still enough space to work on whatever trick you're trying to learn. I've been looking for a skate park in the valley for its mini ramps and different sized bowls to learn. I felt comfortable at this skate park to cruise around and practice. It's a good skate park for all skill levels. When I went, I noticed groups of young people hanging around the outside entrance huddled together. On my way out, there were people shouting, wrestling, and horse playing. I just went on my way but I hope this park continues to be a safe environment for kids to feel welcome too! Update- Took the review from 4 stars to 3 stars. Beware of a skinny, young, small, pale white woman wearing a floral SnapBack backwards with brown curly hair driving an all black GT Mustang. I didn't see her skating at the park at all but she was parked in the lot accompanied by a passenger (don't know who they were). I was already exiting my parking spot and was reversing to straighten my wheel to get out and she aggressively honked at me for no reason. She didn't like how I was in front of her. I threw my hands up and I honked because she aggressively cut me off in the parking lot. They honked again and this time the passenger flipped me off LOL and sped off! I was with the car at the next traffic light and witnessed the car was aggressively changing lanes trying to be first in line, tailgating me, cutting me off, and driving horribly. I was just in shock and laughing at them because they acted so immaturely. It did leave a bad impression and I'm thinking of not coming back to this area! read more

Skateboards and inline skate are totally allowed here but bicycles and scooters are strictly prohibited. Hope more inlines skaters come to this park 'cause this park's filled with male teenager skateboarders. Only saw two female skateboarders and one middle-aged skateboarder the entire afternoon. (Aforementioned older gentleman was on his way out though as I entered.) This park has the following according to the LA Parks website: * Fun Box * Half Pipe * Snake Run * 8500 ft.² Skate Bowl with Rails * Steps * Walls * Pyramid * Waterfall There was one visible staff on guard who was watching from inside the office. Saw a couple of these skateboarders tumble and fall, so bring protective gear although it's not really enforced. As far as parking, there's plenty near the entrance but more in the dirt area towards the back. read more

Super fun park and the sense of community and belonging is great! Some beginner stuff on the flat parts is usually brought out but the rest of the park is intermediate to hard difficulty. Only gripe is that there's only 3 places with shade and sometimes bathrooms aren't open. read more

This is my first time at a skate park! I came because of a photoshoot but what I've seen here was amazing. Parents bringing their kids here to skate and encouraging them to do their best. It made me think of my 16 year old brother that's a skater and is good much better than me at his and and even now. I hope to bring him here when I come back from boot camp and I could learn some tricks. I ride a long board and that's def not a place for me. Haha They have all kinds of things and it's free. Well I didn't have to pay so that was a plus. All kinds of people from old to young. Everyone getting along. And the tricks I've seen made me feel like omg. Nice all-concrete park, basically the only one in the west valley. It has a small street course and flow section, a big vert bowl with a roll-in, and a weird snake run that ends in a tiny bowl that the kids use as a launch ramp. This park is usually pretty busy, although mostly with street skaters so there never seems to be anyone in the vert bowl. Needless to say, that's where you'll find me. The signs say that pads are required, but it seems like they only enforce helmets. I think it's around $5 or $10 to get in. Bottom line is Venice has a better snake run, Santa Monica has better pools and bowls, and I've seen better street courses, but if you live in the valley, it's not bad. Has a neighborhood feel to it. Old school vibe. Staff super nice! Lots of parking. Also, ice cream truck comes by on the weekends...:)

Positives -different areas for everyone. -bigger kids nicer to the younger ones (my son is 8) -free Negatives - the cloud of pot smoke that one has to walk through to enter -the cloud of pot smoke in the corner once you are inside - supervision by the county employee is non-existent (lawsuit!) -there is no gear to rent. You look through the lost and found and scrounge from what is there. Bring your own stuff. We go to Pedlow at least 4 times per week. Everyone is usually pretty mellow. You just have to look past drug dealing, gambling, and empty beer bottles in the bushes. read more

There's an old timer there that's in charge now, the bathrooms are open, and most of the crazy shit going on has tamed way down. Skate rats aren't openly smoking pot, grilling hot dogs on the BBQ, drinking ice cold 40s, and just being general nuisances (read assholes). They still haven't sand blasted all the graffiti. read more

Great park but it is often closed. We are hear the day after thanksgiving. Kids are out of school and it is closed!! So everyone climbs the fence and skates. Either staff it or take the stupid fence down so the kids can use the tax payers resource The kids here are cool and nice to others Take down the wall!!! read more

Absolutely amazing skatepark in the valley! Came here around 2006-ish for a summer skate camp and it was an awesome experience. Staff were chill as anything and would work with you if you needed help or wanted to learn a new trick, etc. Lots of variety here as well; bowls, rails and manual boxes galore! There truly is something for everyone at this concrete beauty! Doesn't matter if you've only been skating for a day or even a decade, it's all love here! So what are you waiting for? Go skate! I just visited this park for the first time. My daughters enjoyed riding their skateboards for about 30 minutes. There wasn't much to do for me. I enjoyed watching my daughters having fun. The park wasn't overly crowded and yet the girls had to wait a bit to go through the "empty pools" as they called them. Over all, a fun place to skate for not too long! read more

I have scouted a bunch of skate parks and this one had a very friendly crowd. Lots to do, its a cool course. I talked to the staff there and they are friendly, they are always walking around and checking on people. I like that. I thought it was cool to see so many parents around. Just don't go passed 3 on week days or weekends morning to close, so many kids it gets annoying and they play skate in the middle so you cant even hit a line bc they start to bitch, don't even get me started on waxing a ledge there, its like these kids are afraid to go fast. Good skatepark great for beginners. But what ruins it are the kids that go there. Me being a beginner I tried to ask for tips from veteran visitors. They are extremely rude saying things like "Get out of my park f*gg*t" or "No one like you is welcome". I bought a soda from the ice cream truck by the entrance, and you know what happens? A kid takes it and finishes it at my face. I asked him can I have the money back? He says "Do you think I'm an ATM?" And my biggest problem is the skateboarders. They complain to me they need me to get out of the way (((I ride a scooter))) and I listen but when I go I have a heart attack thinking they will run over me. And believe it or not but I even got into a verbal fight which led to me getting attacked. A kid named Jason. Whom used to go to school with me has been picking on me. After months of going though all the bs I get the guts to tell on him. After that he has been misbehaving which led to his expulsion. Ever since he has been blaming me for his expulsion . Once I get to the park. He makes fun of my sun glasses. And then when he was talking to my cousin he called me and him "Indians" and "camel jockeys" and "terrorist" (((Me coming from Iranian desent it upsets me. So I came up to him and said these words "Go back to brazil" suddenly he comes rushing towards me and Hits my friend next to me, my friend is down. So I go with the help off my cousins and report Jason to the manager. All he says he needs proof. So my cousins start to say they say it. But he wanted solid ViDEO PROOF. Which angered me. All he said was "sorry try getting it on video next time. Jason left like nothing happened. Pros Okay ramps and equipment for your young beginner. Cons Bad visitors Very unwelcoming people Bad security Violent skateboarders Disgusting bathrooms(poop filled rims) No more safety gear rental My verdict If you love your child do not visit this park. If something bad happens the management will do nothing. There are kids who have come by there selves. Skaters will refuse not to welcome beginners. People in that park will torment you. I made the bad decision visiting Pedlow Skate park was probaly the worst decision I made. There are so much better skateparks with better equipment and better staff and more welcoming people. This is my favorite skate park I have ever been to. Not only does it have stuff for every level of skater, but there is a lot of space. Even when there are a lot of people it is not super crowded. You still have to be aware of the people around you because you don't want to get in the way of people riding. So if you plan on bringing your kids, make sure they know to watch out for the older kids. I advise you to try this park and maybe you will find another way to get your kids off the technology read more

I've been bringing my son here for nearly a decade, it's a good park with something for everyone, a world class pool, transitions of varying heights and a street area. I've always found the locals to friendly and the atmosphere good. Being the only park in the Valley it gets heavily used, so can at times be packed. Negatives. - As mentioned in can get busy, earlier opening hours would be nice (weekdays the park opens at noon although staff are seldom on time) this means that during the summer temperatures often reach the 90's before the park is open. - the park is unfortunately not very well maintained, I've never seen the staff sweep or blow the park, and the pool is often full of water due to the sump pump back flowing into the pool. It's a shame as this park used to be well managed. It should be noted that the elderly gentlemen that often works on Saturdays is always very pleasant, great with the kids and seems to do his best to keep the park well maintained. read more
