It had ALWAYS made noises. Rattling, clanking when I hit a bump. You know, usual stuff. Well, it got to the point where I couldn't hear myself think. I brought it to Alton's because my wife recalled one of her relatives had worked there years ago and said, "They are good people". My wife is a good judge of people. I called and spoke with Miss Susie. She said to bring it in and they would take a look at it. A day later, she called and said it was the right wheel bearing and the control arm. When she quoted the repair price, I wasn't surprised, but money was tight so we passed. I told her I would pick it up the next day. I asked how much for checking it out. She said nothing. I was surprised. Well, we pooled our resources and got the money! I called her and authorized the repairs. Less than a week later, she called and said it was ready. She also stated that the price she quoted for the wheel bearing as too high and adjusted it. Since the cost was a lot lower, they replaced both front wheel bearings! When I got there, I was ready to pay the full quoted price, butas it turned out it was a few dollars less! Since I've gotten my car back, it rides and sounds like a brand new car! More than a decade ago, I brought my 2005 Ram 1500 to Modica Bros. after my A/C stopped cooling at…read moreidle. I would get cool air while driving but nothing but hot air when stopped. After a "thorough" inspection, I was told the entire A/C system needed to be replaced. The technician even joked that at least I wouldn't have to pay since it was a company truck, pointing at the magnets on the door. When I explained it was my personal vehicle, he "took another look" and suddenly said I only needed a new condenser and recharge at about half the price. That didn't sit right with me, so I paid the diagnostic fee and left. After talking with my wife, she told me about Bill's Garage in Port Neches, a shop highly recommended by her co-workers. I brought my truck there and spoke with Ricky. Even though they were extremely busy and couldn't get me in for a couple of weeks, he took a few minutes to look at it in the parking lot. He had me start the truck and turn on the A/C. When nothing happened, he reached in, tapped the fan a few times, and immediately the truck started blowing cold air. He explained there was nothing wrong with the condenser. The real issue was the radiator cooling fan or fan clutch not providing airflow at idle. He told me he could fix it for around $250, but also suggested I could buy the part myself for about $100 and replace it on my own. I did exactly that, and it fixed the problem completely. Fast forward to last August, I purchased a 2022 Chevy 2500 HD with about 45,000 miles from a Chevy dealership. Recently, I brought it back to the dealer for what I believed was a radiator leak. I was told it wasn't covered and was quoted $1,800 for a new radiator, along with a diagnostic fee. Once again, I took it to Bill's Garage. They pressure-tested the system and found the radiator was fine. The actual problem was a leaking A/C condenser, a far less expensive repair they could handle quickly. Over the years, I've trusted Bill's Garage with my vehicles, my wife's, and my kids'. They have consistently proven to be honest, fair, and highly skilled. I won't take my vehicles anywhere else.

Because my transmission had went out . All makes used ideal transmission 2 Rebuild my transmission. Once they got it back From ideal transmission. All makes reinstalled it .Drove it for A-day , had to bring it back to all makes because the transmission had went out .all makes took Trans out sent it back over to ideal transmission for repairs. solenoids went out so they replaced them .All makes reinstalled trans. I went to pick up my truck when it was ready at all makes, not long after. I picked it up transmission went out again. This time it was the torque converter And the pump gone out. Ideal transmission Replaced parts . Sent it back over to all makes ,they reinstalled it. I drove it for a little while about a month and transmission went out again. This time ideal transmission said they wanted the whole truck at their place, to see what is causing it to keep going out. I was out shopping when I got a phone call from Terry letting me know that The torque converter in the transmission was out . that it will cost me $1501.00 . I said oh no I'm not going to pay another penny . I asked her why is it that amount terry said its because they were not the ones who did the R&R labor , which is pulling out and putting in. I said That all makes said that you all wanted the whole truck there. To possibly see what was going on and repair it. When I said I'm not going to pay another penny .. Terry told me that she is going to have her mechanic guy stop working on it and not going to put tran back inside the truck because they had already pulled it out .I said OK that is fine all makes said they have no problem putting it back in. because I paid them the r&r but what was the reason asking for the whole truck if u are going to half as do the work .Ideal transmission ask for the whole truck. terry said they will replace the torque Converter And all makes would just have to put the transmission back .She says she would put transmission in the back of the truck and call All makes to come pick truck. Ideal transmission put the transmission in the front of my truck on the passenger side And put the torque converter behind the passenger seat With fluid still inside the torque converter. I did ask mark what could be causing the transmission to continue going out he said that all makes was putting it in wrong . that they kept busting the pump And vice versa With all makes mechanic shop. Mark said it could be the Fly wheeISo I replaced Fly wheel brand New also the transmission mount Was replaced So when my truck got back to all makes they installed the transmission. I drove it down the street and it went out again and I had enough I said I would not spend Any more money. And I wind up picking up my truck . I brought it to Ed's transmission they cost me $500 to get my truck back . Eds said that 4th and 5th gear is out the pump was good and torque converter was good but As you can see it was just one thing after another I talked to several shops and several people and they told me that ideal should have just tried another transmission but but unfortunately that was never done so here I ended up taking my truck elsewhere And having it repaired.. This is my experience with ideal transmission I could never enjoy my truck because the transmission kept breaking down Because of one thing after another ... If we would have only tried another transmission or you Are used better parts
