A bit torn food was decent but ambience was a disaster. Just left they Sat a party of at least 20 in the main dining room, 5 adults and like 15 hoodlums from 15-2 years of age . They were so loud yelling,screaming and arguing amongst each other . The "adults" had zero control over them actually didn't even reprimand bad behavior. Our waiter was pleasant. Our food had flavor was hot and came out fast . Maybe the staff seating people could take a class in common sense . The bar staff looks real shady ! Probably won't be back . read more

Good food but very apathetic service. Can't share food without being charged an extra 7.49 per person who shares. I have never heard of being charged for chips and salsa if you share a dish. Forcing people to buy more food is just silly. Now what we ate was good but we wasted a lot of food because we weren't that hungry. Please add to your menus that people who don't order their own dish will be charged more money. read more

Decent Mexican food for a small town. My husband liked the beans and said the rice was pretty good. He liked the cheese enchilada which was covered in red sauce and loads of melted shredded cheese! I got the Coctail de Camarones, mini size. Pretty good, wish the shrimp had been chilled. Since I was pretty sure the chips had been fried in the same oil as flour products, I asked for some heated up corn tortillas and they were most accommodating making sure it wasn't in contact with flour, which I appreciated. Didn't catch our servers name but he had red hair, and did a fine job to get us on our way! read more

I just wanted to take the time to post a big thank you to the staff. Our baseball team came in last Sunday and what started with 18-20 people quickly turned into 30+ people. The staff was so accommodating to all of us. I know large parties are hard but The patience everyone had handling all of us made our lunch very successful. The food was absolutely amazing! Food was good but way over priced!!! We were with a big group and the staff was not friendly.

Food mediocre at best but customer service was the worst! The delivery driver brought my food and before he left he told me "if anything is missing call the restaurant and they will bring it out" ( definitely lied)! I didn't get one of my plates of food I ordered for delivery. And when I called the store the lady on the other end had a bad attitude and said we are slammed and that I would get my food in 45 min. Well I had already waited 45 for my food they forgot to prepare in the first place! If you hate your job then find another I paid good money for no food! I am camping across the street from Pedro's and decided to walk over and give the place a try. I truly enjoyed the beef, chicken and shrimp fajitas... they were delicious! Are you visiting Elk City, Oklahoma, but you long for a visit to Mexico, or you're in the mood for and delicious, authentic Mexican dinner? When you enter the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a friendly greeter, who will greet and seat you. Normally when I dine solo, I sit at the bar, but tonight, I was seated in the small dining room. Photo shows the meeter/greeter as she's waiting to seat other customers. On this early Wednesday evening, this fine restaurant was a busy place. Pedro's Mexican Grill serves delicious Mexican cuisine. If you close your eyes, and you take a bite, you'd almost think you were in Piedras Negras or Cd. Acuna; the food is that good. The service is super-friendly, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is priceless. We were staying in an RV park and they delivered to us. Delivery and order taker were both friendly and professional. We got 2 of the number 27, tender beef, fresh onions and peppers with small salad and guacamole. They sent a big bag of fresh warm chips with salsa and cheese dip. Their tortillas are homemade! After a long day driving we stopped in Elk City for the night. We wanted something that delivered and decided on Pedro's and glad we did. The food arrived at our hotel in 15 min and the delivery guy was very nice and polite. Once we got the food to our room and opened it it was still hot and the serving sizes were huge and included a free bag of tortilla chips and salsa/queso which was a nice surprise. We ordered the chicken fajitas for two and the chicken street tacos (just in case the fajitas for two wasn't enough to fill us both up but we quickly found out that wasn't needed) and both were delicious. The fajitas for two came with home made flour tortillas, rice, beans, and could easily feed three people. read more

This food does not taste like "real" Mexican food. It is bland and flavorless. Salsa tastes like Picante mild. The cheese sauce seems to be thinned with milk. The beans taste like Roserita mild (no flavor or spice). The guacamole was discolored from sitting out too long - no flavor and no spices. Rice was bland and flavorless. The chili rellano was flavorless and had the cheese sauce on top - no cheese inside and chili not fried in batter. Served with canned corn and fried potatoes. I have never seen fried potatoes served with a Mexican meal. They added bland flavorless carbs. Very disappointed in this choice of restaurant and meal. Chips were OK but didn't seem "homemade.". The flautas were the same frozen/fried Taquitos you buy at the grocery store - and sadly the best part of the meal. I do not recommend if you want a full flavored authentic Mexican meal. read more

I will admit, I have been spoiled the past 15 years living in Austin and having access to so many excellent Mexican restaurants, so I have a fairly high standard for Mexican food. I'm also a big advocate of supporting local business. With all that being said, the food here was not only barely edible...but also way overpriced for the quality. They also got my order wrong, which might've been forgiven had the food been better. The only plus was the customer service. I wouldn't recommend eating here. read more

This is the first time we have eaten here since they relocated due to fire. We do not come to Elk City often and decided to stop in. This used to be one of our favorite places to eat. I will say we were extremely disappointed with the food. We ordered the Jalapeno Rellenos as an appetizer. It was supposed to be filled with chorizo and cheese and wrapped in bacon.,etc. What we got was 4 jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon for the price of $11.99. You could tell they had been previously frozen. Each jalapeno was $3. Crazy price for minimal food and not even as the menu described. It is definitely not the same environment as their previous location. No care was given into plating presentation. The food was just okay. Not worth the $43 dollars we spent for 2 people. That does not including tip. I will add that our wait staff was attentive and pleasant. I am giving them 2 stars based on that. Unfortunately, we will not return. Very disappointing. read more

I grew up on fresh, homemade Mexican food and ya know what, this is pretty damn good! They are very generous with their chips and they were accompanied by both salsa and queso! Ordered the $9.00 avocado salad on Thursday 27 June 2019. See attached photo of the disappointment. Manager came by the table and asked how the lunch was. I explained my disappointment for the two tablespoons of avocado on the bed of iceberg lettuce. The manager said avocados cost about a hundred bucks for a box of forty and walked off. This food is frozen and served as Mexican food. I ordered chile relleno with ground beef inside and sour cream sauce on top no cheese. It came out with no poblano pepper but a breaded pastry. Inside was cheese and no poblano pepper. I complained to the manager about this chile Relleno not having a poblano pepper stuffed with ground beef. If you are ever in Elk City OK, you have got to stop here. My husband and I stopped for breakfast on our way through. Both our meals were delicious. He had the Spanish skillet and loved it. I had the Mexican Omelette. It was my favorite omelette I've ever had. They both came with your choice of toast or tortillas. We opted for the tortillas, which were homemade and delicious. The billboard on highway had us take an exit that had us travel several miles - discovered on the way out that the shorter route we should've taken (dumb us for trusting a billboard, right?!) would've steered us past a lot of other restaurants.... Hmmmm - sneaky, Pedro's. The food was brought out in abt 30 seconds after ordering - red flag. & we eat at Mexican places A LOT (dadgum hubby's limited pallet). Subpar - textures were just ... "off" on everything. Wasn't bland as much as it was interestingly bad. Also: WAY too many tables crammed in that place - couldn't walk anywhere w/o bumping into & muttering "'scuse me" 84 times. If you would a Mexican Chucky Cheese than this is your place. I don't so I asked to go to the bar and the staff is the only reason I gave it two stars. The service was great, friendly and fast. However the food was bland- no really bland. I had to coat my food with hot sauce for some flavor. The man sitting next to me was a creeper. The best thing I can say about Pedro's is it consistent. That may not be a big deal to all, but I really like that I know exactly what something is gonna taste like every time. I know what kind of service I'm gonna get. I can't think of any time I have ever had bad service there. I'm not sure that I would call it authentic Mexican. It is more like authentic TexMex, but if you know that going in, you will dig it just fine. It's just like the restaurants that hit by the waves in the 90s and 00s. See have another restaurant in Elk City that is almost identical. Same for Sayre, Clinton, Cordell, etc. I've heard good things about their street tacos though and that are similar to real street tacos. If you are looking for authentic, maybe try that. If you are looking for Tex Mex, try everything else. read more

Best most authentic Mexican food around and the beans are to die for and the tortillas are homemade! Great service and portions are overwhelming! HOWEVER, went today to eat supper( yes it's Sunday however their big sign out front stars "open sundays now" we were told a party was going on and it was not open to the public tonight! Extremely disappointed since we drove 45 minutes from out of town just to eat here! No advertising that stated party tonight, closed or anything posted outside!
