I also love that I don't need a reservation to bring my dog to daycare - it gives me greater flexibility on when to use my days. Another major perk of Playtime is that they have a large outdoor play area -this was a major pro on my list when I was looking for daycares. I'm not sure what the groomers did to them, but they were so traumatized they were shaking. When they got home they kept barking at nothing, and looked so frightened. They weren't back to normal for months. We went there many times before this, and had mediocre experiences. But this was beyond mortifying. I can't believe groomers could treat our dogs like that, let alone how they treated my mother. The groomers refused to refund our money, and said horrifying things to my mother. She was in tears after their conversation. It was a heinous experience. Edit: In response to the owner, that's simply untrue. They were groomed 6 WEEKS before, and while they were matted, it certainly didn't warrant shaving them down to their skin. But even if that were true, the way you treated my mother, yelling at her, and treating her like an animal(or how you clearly treat animals..), is beyond reproach.

We had never been thrilled, but there was one groomer we liked who was mysteriously fired the day before we brought our dogs in. My mother was VERY specific with what she wanted--keep their fur long, let her know if there are any problems. Not only did they ignore her instructions and SHAVE all three of our dogs, but THEY CHARGED HER EXTRA for "detangling mats," which was ridiculous, because obviously they didn't do any such thing, they just shaved them off. They pressured my mom to pay before she saw the dogs (which she did, never imagining they would have gone against her explicit instructions). She was shocked when she saw them, to the point of tears. The people at "Pampered Pup" had the audacity to defend what they did, and didn't offer her any kind of refund. Rude. Completely inept. And, beyond all that, our dogs now shake and whine any time they fear they may be taken to the groomers. DO NOT GO HERE.

When Maria showed herself after about a minute, I told her a dog got out. She told me to wait while she hunted down the dog. The owner came, I told him what happened, and he took his car and also looked. 1/2 hour later thankfully the dog was found. When Maria came back, she told me it was my fault the dog got out and I should have known better there would be a dog unattended and un-leashed in the lobby. I asked why the gate was left open and she denied it was. I asked why the dog was in the lobby and she said it had anxiety and needed to be there. I said all the more reason the dog shouldn't be left alone. Every truth I told her she denied in front of the dog owner. She took NO responsibility at all. In essence she called me a liar. The other reviews are older, and I believe it was under different ownership then, because I had been there, and it was nothing like this. I am now banned from bringing my dog there. I wouldn't anyway because the smell is HORRENDOUS (and this is not an exaggeration). Just be aware that your dog may get out and the worst might possibly happen. PS....there was another dog in the lobby unattended....a cute little doodle puppy. I didn't want to leave it there alone because I wanted to sit in the car to get away from the odor. I am a huge dog lover and take care of my baby girl.

They have done a remarkable job of upgrading the business and it shows. It is not easy working with dogs, who like people, have different personalities and behavioral reactions. The staff really take the time to know the animals and the owners. They do all of my grooming (I have rescue huskies) and are still cheerful even when my dog(s) have displayed less than ideal attitudes and behaviors. In addition, they carry an extensive line of Fromm products, which is the only type of dog food I have used since 1993.
