DO NOT USE THIS BANK! I have never been less satisfied with any business. We had a house fire a…read morefew months back. It was not a total loss, but it was also not in a liveable condition. Throughout the entire process, insurance has been very helpful and the contractors have been working hard to get us back into our house. This bank has been the biggest roadblock and has halted any progress to a complete stop. I have been told numerous times that the check that was written to myself and the bank needs to be put into a title company to deal out the payments at a $500 cost to me. I have been told multiple times that this doesn't happen in 99.5% of cases but is happening in our case despite only a shed and one exterior wall being burned in the fire. I have never missed a house payment and have great credit however the bank still would not back down. After fighting it, I eventually acquiesced to move the process along. THIS BANK SAT ON THE CHECK FOR A MONTH WITHOUT DOING A SINGLE THING. That's an extra month we have to go without being our house. That's an extra month of rent we have to pay at the new place. My girlfriend and I are both teachers. We do have done so much during the month of July while we were not at school to move things along. Instead this bank did absolutely nothing. It was only when my father contacted the bank on my behalf to ask about the progress that it was discovered nothing had been done since I took off work from my Summer job to proceed with the title company. All that we got was an acknowledgement that this bank was the one that dropped the ball. I have never felt less cared for as a customer. I hope nobody has to go through what we have been through with our house fire. However, if anyone does have this happen to them, I certainly hope they have a more helpful bank than Morton/Clocktower community Bank!! I would give zero stars if possible.

I won't go into a bunch of sorted details. But, Morton caught the error. The app didn't post a stop payment on my account and the teller cashed the check. I got a full refund and the bank ate the mistake. When I banked at cefcu, I told them I had blank checks stolen and to call the cops if anyone tried to cash them..cefcu not only cashed my stolen checks. But they wouldn't prosecute the thief, charged my savings account overdraft fees, and gave me a 100 reasons why they couldn't help me...Morton community banks caught the mistake and fixed it on their own...YOU CAN ABSOLUTELY TRUST THIS BANK !!!! They don't play games. They are ethical and truly customer oriented like a bank is supposed to be..

Filed a claim Aug. 2019. Simple roof and ceiling damage due to a storm. Several mo. went by with no response from the claims dept. After threatening to file with the BBB, and several months, Gabrielle Montoya from claims came out, and I showed her my damaged roof and ceiling. After months went by, I finally got a check for the roof only. Just the roof. After MANY calls and emails, adjuster Gabrielle Montoya got back with me only to deny having spoken about getting my ceiling fixed. She said I told her I'd fix it myself. Why on earth would anyone say that when there is already a claim for other damage due to the storm. No more communication for months. I finally had enough and called a contractor to give me an estimate. It was very plain and simple. I sent it to Gabby. no response again. Again I threatened, via email, I would file a grievance with the BBB. Gabby e-mailed me saying she couldn't read the estimate. She said she'd called the contractor to get another est. (LIES) I called the contractor. He said "she has NEVER called him, and he would swear to it in court. I sent a clear breakdown of the estimate, again no response from Gabby or Pekin. It is now March 28th. I think eight months is enough. I think channels 3, 5, 10, 12, 15, all in Phoenix, would jump at the chance to air this. read more

I've loved having my renter's policy with Pekin Insurance! I was able to find a local agent on their website, email the agent directly, and submit all necessary paperwork via email. It was so easy! I called my agent a few weeks after getting the policy mail to ask if something was covered and she was so knowledgable and explained everything well. read more

When I proceeded to be rude back, he AGGRESSIVELY approached me to the point of making his very young daughter cry as well as his wife when I said if he didn't leave us alone I would call police. He refused to leave us alone to the point where the police were called. This behavior is unacceptable at a school function nor in society in general and I feel the people using this business should know this part of him that harasses young women who are cheering for a sports team by calling them fat.

My experience at HR Block was so outrageous I have to share it. I have never written a review…read morebefore like this, so I will briefly explain my situation. I have always done my taxes on my own because I am a single guy with 1 job. In 2016 I had sold a house, and had a death of a parent. So I thought I would take my taxes to HR Block assuming they would be able to handle a situation like this. I went to the HR Block in East Peoria, IL on Washington St. I spoke with a rep, which clearly had no idea how to do my taxes. I showed up at 4:15 and didn't leave until 9:30PM. During that visit, the rep made numerous excuses on why she had to take breaks and clearly did not know how to handle my situation. So she asked her manager, who then got in an argument with her, and he stormed off. I observed this behavior and shortly lost confidence after that. At the end of the encounter, I purchased the peace of mind insurance. I walked out that day thinking my taxes were filed, yet maybe filed incorrectly. Well I was right about half of that, they were done incorrectly... I then called the 800 number and asked for feedback on whether or not these taxes were done correctly. They sent me to another office in Bloomington, IL to have them reviewed. We found that the exemptions were done wrong, so they were corrected and an amended return was sent in. A few months later I get a letter stating my taxes have not been received! I checked my account, and no payment was taken for the services on my initial visit and HR Block never paid the federal or state what I owed! I was livid, and called the 800 number and got no-where. Went back to the Bloomington, IL office and the rep "re-submitted" my taxes again. I have asked for an explanation and nothing! I asked for escalation and only after a week of calling and sending emails, did I get a call from the manager in the Peoria office, who asked me a bunch of questions and then never took any action and never got back to me. Now I have a fine from the IRS for not filing or paying my taxes. I have reached out to both the rep that helped me and the manager of the Peoria office and still no explanation on the peace of mind insurance, no explanation as to why they did not take my payment or pay the govt what I owed. The 800 number is worthless, and the reps I talk to keep pushing me off to others who take no action. This is the worse service I have received for taxes, and I will never use either office again, nor will I ever use HR Block again.

He called me one day asking if I wanted to change my supplement to a cheaper company. I told him I would look into it and let him know. He had AARP UHC call me to apply for their insurance. After 3 calls with them, I notified Andy I was just going to keep my old company because I didn't like AARP. He said, "Well, I don't know why you would do that, but okay." Last conversation til I found out he e-signed by application anyway, they accepted it and started taking the money out of my bank. I called Andy and AARP. Both told me if I sent them proof I had coverage they would refund my money. But when I complied they told me I would have to call about 60 providers myself to get the money from them MYSELF. It is against the law for an insurance company to cover a senior citizen with a Medicare supplement if they already have one. I have the document he signed on my behalf though he never admitted to it much less apologized for all the grief this is causing me. I will be filing a complaint with the Ill Dept of Insurance.
