Visited Peking Chinese test Sunday. Ordered 20 wings because they had the best price. I asked them To cook them crisp because i like mine dry. They don't have ranch sauce fyi. Unfortunately, these were the worst wings I ever had. If you look closely you will notice the wings are crispy, but the oil they cooked them in, was old and that impacted the flavor, color and texture of the wings. While the price was great the product I received was unacceptable and I would not recommend anyone purchase wings from there. Shame on me for buying from a Chinese restaurant. I gave them two stars because the price was good. Very disappointed. I should have asked for a refund but it was too cumbersome to drive back to location. read more

Our regular chinese local spot was close this day, so tried someplace new ... Ordered orange chicken, noodles, egg rolls, and hot & sour soup. Nothing tasted fresh or good. The food, while hot, tasted old. Three orange chicken had no flavor, the soup bland. The egg roles could have been from Aldi, they tasted frozen and stale. Was in town and stopped by here for takeout/lunch, as I was craving the American Chinese takeout food. I ordered the lunch special, the General Tso's Chicken with a choice of fried Rice or white rice and a choice of eggroll, spring roll, or crab rangoon for $8.39 before taxes. Please note that the lunch special is only available from 11:00am-3:30pm. The fried rice was okay, as there were no signs of eggs, onions, peas, or carrots; it was just yellow rice. But it did pair well with the General Tso's Chicken. I did not take a photo of my food as I have already devoured it, but I have attached a couple of photos of a much needed and updated menu. I only got a couple of things from here to-go but shocked at how good it tasted. The fried wings plain were well seasoned and crispy. The braised wings were sweet/spicy and were shockingly good in flavor as well. Lo main veggies came with lots of vegetables and was not dried. The lady was extremely nice at the counter. The dining room is definitely very cafeteria like and it was pretty empty when we went but for the price, I will definitely be coming back! read more

Sooooo. My favorite Chinese in winder is closed on Thursdays now so I gave this one another try. The egg roll that came with the lunch special was delicious, like a fresh fried egg roll wrapper would, there's just not much going on inside of it. The general Tsos chicken came with "fried" rice which is just a yellow rice that taste like a plain white rice. The chicken, although heavily breaded, tasted delicious. Unfortunately I threw most of it away after cutting into a piece which had a grayish tint. The interior of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. There's no public restroom, no ice machine and poorly constructed service windows to protect the he public. And don't get me wrong, I agree with protecting yourself however you see fit, but unfortunately the finished product leaves the place looking as if though it's under construction permanently. I went here for lunch break, ordered a pork stir fry with veggies and rice, and a hot and sour soup. The food tasted OK,just average; the veggies I expected to be cooked more thoroughly, as the broccoli was still hard to chew, and this was Chinese food. I paid $10.50 for lunch and it was not worth it. I have had better at other places with less price, more portions, and better tasting. I will not be back. One positive note is that the food was made really quickly after it was ordered and the lady in the front was nice. read more

The restaurant reeked of bleach and dirty mop water. No way you could've eaten in there. I was getting my order to go, thankfully. The food was meh. No real flavor. The egg drop soup tasted like it had sugar in it. The sweet & sour chicken had that cheap thick red sauce on it that you buy already made instead of a proper glaze made in house. My family and I have been eating here for years and have always had a very pleasant experience. We order takeout almost every weekend. Our favorite dishes are Mongolian chicken, beef with broccoli, lo mein, and wonton soup. The portions are large; we always have leftovers. The price is also reasonable. The large beef and broccoli with rice, wonton soup for 2, and 2 egg rolls is about $16.00. For simple, take-out Chinese cuisine, it really doesn't get any better. Also, I really love how well they package their to-go orders. It is well contained and never spills because they stack it so carefully and neatly (this may seem small and silly, but it's a big deal to me). We are fans! read more

YALL I have to write two reviews. We LOVE this place. Barrow county residents are SLEEPING in this place if they haven't been here yet. We got the chicken mei fun (curry rice noodles) and HOLY COW or should I say CHICKEN it was INCREDIBLE. I got the crispy Peking beef combination dinner and husband got sesame chicken combo dinner and the portions are amazing and it is tasty as HECK. I never get a chance to take photos because we devour most of the food before I can even reach for my phone. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

Tried this place for the first time today, and it was really good! The price for the lunch menu is amazing! The amount for what you get and the taste is astonishing. The food is okay by Barrow County standards. I only get this place when I'm feeling extremely lazy and don't want to make the drive to Loganville or Dacula where the options are much better. My main issue with Peking is clearly use yellow rice instead of white rice for their fried rice. What is so hard about the normal technique of white rice with soy sauce and sesame oil? I've never seen this practice in my life and just find it odd. read more

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant by far. They are very quick about making your food, very pleasant at the same time and the food is fantastic! Many Chinese places can have overly greasy food, but not this place. The woman who often works the counter is very kind as well. They always know what I want to order and that I come on my lunch break. Once I went to order and there was a giant line of construction men who went to order. She said "ladies first please?" and let me cut to the front so I could quickly get in and out. They've a fantastic lunch special for 4.99 and a dinner special for 5.99. Check your take order before leaving. Ordered several items that required sweet and sour sauce. They gave us a small styrofoam container half filled with sweet and sour sauce. Didn't come close to being enough and it was so watered down it tasted like water. Not the first time this has happened. We will not be returning. Lesson learned. read more
