Great NEW YORK style Chinese food The best dumplings! I love their MooGoo Gai Pan! So delicious and reasonably priced Excellent service! read more

This place is an absolute time capsule in the best way--like stepping into the golden age of Chinese takeout, where the décor is delightfully old school, the service makes you feel like family, and the portions are so massive you'll be enjoying round two tomorrow. The food? Outstanding. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken Combination and it was packed with flavor, cooked perfectly, and tastes like they've been quietly perfecting these recipes for decades (well actually they have, they have been in this location forever) instead of chasing trendy nonsense. It's comfort food done right, with generous servings that make you wonder if they misunderstood your order for "feed a small village." And the egg roll... honestly, I may never emotionally recover. This wasn't just an egg roll--it was a life event. Crispy, golden perfection on the outside, packed with flavor on the inside, and so good it deserves its own review. I came for dinner, but that egg roll changed me as a person. read more

Peking Chinese Restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Fort Pierce, Florida

Came midday and was able to be seated right away. Our waitress was very attentive and quick. Our food came out pretty quickly as well. We didn't expect the portions to be so big. We had to take food home and still it was enough like another meal. Food was delicious too. Loved that we were able to sit down and eat, it wasn't like many new restaurants without seating. It gives the old school Chinese vibe. We will be back read more

I stopped here on my way home from my doctor appointment. It's actually in the opposite direction of my way home. I always stop here for lunch after the doctor appointment and eat in. This time I ordered carryout. I got my usual pork egg foo young. Since soup only comes with the lunch combo if you eat in, I ordered hot and sour to take home. The person who took my order was very nice. It did not take long. I asked for extra gravy which was no problem. It had your usual Chinese decor. I made a stop on the way home and left the food in the car. It is 25 miles from my house. When I got home and took everything out of the bag it was still warm. The soup was hot and so was the egg foo young, rice and egg roll. I wish they were closer to my home. It's in Fort Pierce and I live at the southern most part of Port St Lucie. It's worth the drive even just coming from home. I highly recommend Peking read more

Peking used to be the best place around. When I lived here year ago, id go every weekend. I recently came back after a few years and we got alot of food yesterday. It was not nearly as good as it used to be. The honey garlic sauce seemed very watered down or like a flavored syrup rather than actual honey. The egg foo young wasn't as crispy as it used to be. The gravy recipe must have changed and wasn't very good. It was disappointing. I used to love this place. Whatever changed was not good. I probably will not be going back. Which is sad. It used to be my favorite place. read more

First of all- I've been in PSL 4 years and never seen or heard of this place. Came here for a bday dinner and was surprised. The place is right off US1 in fort pierce. The vibes are very much - china town in manhattan or for those who have never been to Manhattan the scene in the Christmas story where they have to go eat Chinese food cause the neighbors dogs ate the turkey We had quite a few items form the menu and sadly I wasn't able to grab photos of them of them cause we dug in!! lol the good was good!! Like NY sloppy Chinese's good For Florida standards. If you're from NJ/NY you know the freaking struggle to get good Chinese food in FL. This place is definitely a hidden gem. The saki was hot. Which was odd to me but hey to each saki to their own. The plum wine was good. The egg rolls were good. Literally everything was good and I suggest not over ordering. They serve family style so a lot of food!! The added the gratuity to the bill since we were a table of 12. They attended us well. read more

We've been hearing good things about Peking Chinese restaurant so we decided to give it a try. What we heard was right, the food is good and the service was good and they serve ice cream for dessert. We were a table of four people. We all had combination plates. With that you get soup eggroll main dish, fried rice or white rice and dessert ice cream. This is a very good deal. We found the food to be delicious, and hot. The serving was plenty to eat. We live in Port St. Lucie, and the restaurant is in Fort Pierce. It's definitely worth the ride. read more

First time dining here after living in the area for 10 years. What a treat! Jasmine, our waitress, was superb in every way; cheerful, efficient and attentive. Our combination dinners (chicken w/almonds and vegetables, shrimp with vegetables) included soup, egg roll, entree and ice cream. Food was hot, seasoned just right and portions were huge. It's a neighborhood establishment that welcomes its guests. Highly suggest trying it out. read more

We've visited here on and off for years and enjoy the consistency of this place. The service is always really good, and the food is delicious. We both had lunch portions along with an appetizer of beef on a stick. The beef was very tender and flavorful. My husband had Szechuan shrimp. He appreciated that the tails were removed from the shrimp to make it easier to eat and said it was really good. He might ask for it to be a little spicier next time, but he typically enjoys very spicy food. Along with the shrimp, the lunch came with an eggroll (very good) and he had the hot and spicy soup, which he also gave a thumbs up to. I had the scallops and vegetables. Normally, I've had this dish with shrimp but decided to be a little different today. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The vegetables are not overcooked, and the egg drop soup that came with the lunch was nice and hot. If you are looking for a sit-down place to enjoy classic Chinese food, I recommend this place. read more

NY Style Chinese Food Very fresh and delicious Best I have had on the Treasure Coast! read more

There is no question about the lack of good Chinese food on the treasure Coast. In fact, we moved up here two years ago, and we still travel down to West Palm Beach when we want Chinese food. However, we were up in Fort Pierce recently and came across the Chinese restaurant on US one. Of course I went ahead and looked at the restaurant up on yelp and I have received decent reviews. Walking in there is minimal atmosphere. I always judge a restaurant by the washrooms and this was immaculate. It reminded me of a Chinese restaurant where I grew up in Brooklyn. The food is delicious. It still does not meet the ranks of New York, but it's not far away. The service is extremely welcoming, and the menu is diverse as well. Whether you're having lunch or dinner there they have great combination specials. My favorite is the egg foo young. You received two huge pancakes that were delicious. My husband loves their chicken cashew dish. Try it you probably will like it. read more

Went to the Peking Restaurant last night with a friend I ordered the Orange Chicken w/side of fried rice etc.. and my friend ordered the Garlic Chicken w/the fried rice as well. She took a taste of the rice and stated, "something doesn't taste right with this rice." So like a fool I took a taste and when smelled it and something wasn't right with it. After we both pushed the rice aside. My friend said something to the waitress and as kind as she could have been said "I will say something to the manger." My friend and I proceeded to eat what we had ordered and asked for our to go boxes as neither one of us could finish. When we got in the car I told my friend that I had to stop by my home before we went on to our next destination. At that point she stated she had to go home because she wasn't feeling good and asked me to speed our she was going to have a very bad accident in my car. As I dropped her off and made it to my home which seemed to be as close to danger as my friend racing myself to the bathroom not sure which end to turn to........it hit!! So today needless today I haven't eaten a bit and still the bathroom couldn't be close enough. I decided to call the Peking Restaurant to let them know of my health issue, but the gentleman that answered the phone proceeded to tell me I got sick from a different establishment and that I wasn't telling the truth. I called to make him aware, that was all.....BUT NOW I find myself for the very FIRST time in 70+ years telling ALL OF YOU.....EATING AT THE PEKING REST. IS BETTER THAN TAKING THE SHOT OF OZEMPIC (not that I ever did but you know),........... I am sure I had to lose at least 5 to7lbs. They need to close their doors it is very unsafe to eat there and I will never return. read more

Peking Chinese restaurant has been in the Fort Pierce area for quite some time. Right on the east side of US1. Yes, the place looks dated but the food is good. Everything was brought out in a timely manner and tasted good. As we sat down they served us their chips with a side of sweet sauce. Mmm good!! We ordered egg rolls to start - crispy on the outside. And our usual go to when ordering Chinese food: honey chicken and special fried rice The honey chicken was tasty, garlicky and breaded. The special fried rice was really good. Although it didn't come with scrambled eggs like I'm used to, it had the rest of the usual suspects: shrimp, ham, etc, etc. The rice wasn't dry either. We are definitely coming back when in town. read more

Without a doubt the best Chinese food in Florida I've had . Florida for whatever reason Florida isn't conducive for good Chinese Peking changed this today. If you can't make the soup the foods likely going to be bad. Peking had perfect hot & Sour, the lunch portion was huge, egg roll great. So happy to have found this place read more

Peking Chinese Restaurant - Sezahuan Beef Szechuan Style - Chinese Near Me - Fort Pierce, Florida

First time eating here . Service was poor , I ordered a simple veggie fried rice with Tofu and spring rolls ..The fried rice was dry and came with frozen peas n carrots , onion and mushroom , chopped bamboo ..No Tofu .It Was Tasteless and Dry . Ate about 3 spoonfuls and threw it in the garbage. The spring roll was greasy and not very good . Place could use a good cleaning also ,The Rug was dirty and Old ..The whole place looked old and dated .I will not be eating here again read more

The entrees here actually have a unique and distinguishable flavor from one another. Most Chinese places seem to just use the same basic brown sauce for everything making the sauce from the schezuan beef taste indistinguishable from the Mongolian beef or the sha ta beef etc. This place is like your normal Chinese food but elevated and better in its execution and the dishes actually have unique flavors. Service is fast and the ambiance inside is pleasant making it a great sit down spot to go as well. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for Chinese food. I don't recall seeing any tofu dishes on the menu though. read more

I'm all for paying fees for delivery when on vacation, but come on, if you are going to charge that, get the order right. I specifically ordered a pint of fried rice because it is obviously bigger than the pint and me and the hubs are hungry. We ordered other things, but we only got a pint of the beef fried rice. They charge double for the quart instead of pint, so either send me another pint of it or refund me the almost $10. Not happy. read more

Wanted to love this place because there aren't any authentic Chinese restaurants in the vero area (or anywhere near). The chefs are from NY so that's a plus....food was decent-some things better than others but it needs renovation and a deep clean!!!!!! Disgusted when we saw the guy that works there stomping on a bug in the doorway between the kitchen and dining area. WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!! Disgusting and disgusted. read more

Cold soup to much gravy on pork dish. And upset stomach the next day. Service was good but place looks like 1960 deco. Needs to be updated

A first-timer, went for lunch and was so impressed. The decor is awesome. Have been looking for a sit-down Chinese restaurant since Covid altered that landscape. Everything was so fresh and delicious...except for the fortune cookie, which was soft and stale. Maybe it was just mine that had faulty packaging and the humidity seeped in... it won't keep me from returning! read more

The food has consistently gone downhill over the years . I decided to give them another chance today ... brought the food home and threw it in the garbage . The dumplings have hardly any stuffing in them . The spare ribs were SO Gross ... I even tried to save them in the air fryer .. you can tell the meat was old . Disgusting . The pork fried rice literally had NO pork in it . Even before Covid their food was terrible . NOW ? It's even worse . They are so cheap ... they keep their hot mustard behind the counter so you don't have access to it ... when I asked for some the owner reluctantly handed me a few ... REALLY CHEAPSKATE ??? The place is dark and dingy inside so I prefer to get my food to go . Now even that is unacceptable. Owner should hang it up and retire . I WILL NOT be going in here anymore . Stay away from this place ..... it's EXPENSIVE too !!! read more

This is a very good restaurant. We have eaten there many times in the past and then again for lunch specials today. Everything was delicious and service was very good too. Portions were very generous and included Soup, EggRoll, Fried Rice, Choices of many entrees, and hot tea. Yes, we had enough to bring some home too. Of course, I've read the other reviews (some very old) but I can not find anything to be negative about at Peking. We'll definitely be back again soon. read more

We missed having eat in Chinese cuisine since our regular spot changed hands over a year ago. Take out joints just don't do it for us so we took the ride up to Fort Pierce to this long established restaurant. The atmosphere was right; quintessential Chinese restaurant fish tank and all. Staff were all very friendly and prompt. The soup and egg rolls were very good. Special fried rice just ok, needed more ingredients. The pork with veggies also short on selection but tasty nonetheless. Cold Japanese beer (no Tsingtao this night). All in all I think we've found our new place. read more

Extremely disappointed, ordered chicken chow mein which I have uploaded a photo off, looks like absolute slop, feels like slop, taste like slop along with kung pao and pepper steak dinner all of these items lacked any sort of flavor honestly worse Chinese I've ever had, tried to call to express how I felt after wasting money on something we won't be eating and instead was met with an argument and them trying to give a credit which is pointless because I won't ever be going back. Great Chinese food! I've been eating here past 40 years! It was THE place to go in the 70s ~ unfortunately the interior hasn't changed since. Fresh ingredients large portions friendly environment! Try the Shrimp with lobster sauce (tons of large shrimp) or Mongolian Beef (great flavor)! read more

I've eaten here several times over the last few years and NEVER had a problem. Not sure what the clowns below are talking about & probably the same person posting as others. Food is always good, service is always quick. They space apart your appetizers and main meal so you aren't eating food on top of food. The only thing I would recommend is them not service garlic with just about all the food dishes. Highly recommend. Plus they are on platforms for food delivery service. Doordash, etc. read more

I like and appreciate a some duck. So I was pretty happy to see a restaurant with "Peking" in the name. 1st time I tried, It was take out and I went with the Roast Duck and some vegetables. To my disappoint, it was pretty dry, and vegetables were bland. I rarely form an opinion based on one experience, so kept it on the places to try. The 2nd time i tried, also take out, I called in and mentioned the previous experience. I asked which would be the best choice if I were to go with the duck again right now, roast or Peking. The guy who answered the phone was really nice. He apologized and recommended the roast duck and that he would personally make sure it was moist. Super excited at this point. When i got home and looked at the "1/2 duck", it was atrocious. There were two severely dried up drumsticks and what looked like a 1/2 of a though or maybe it was a quarter of the back, I'm not sure. It was so shriveled and dried I couldn't tell. My first thought is they served me bones from someone's plate that they cleared up. Maybe they didn't like me mentioning the dry duck earlier? I called the restaurant and talked to the same guy. He said he put in an order for Peking duck on accident. I'm pretty sure it wasn't... or maybe it was since they serviced a few street taco sized tortillas and I'm thinking that's what they were referring to as serving "pancakes" with the Peking? Even it was, Peking being more expensive and all and sharing the restaurant's name, how would you even let something like this out of your kitchen. The guy started chuckling at me while he was talking. Whatever. Brutal food. Overpriced and definitely not worth the $57, especially having passed up so many better, cheaper places to get there. There were a lot of other things wrong with the order that I wanted to cover, but I've wasted enough time on this restaurant already. Walk away. read more
