I would love to know why this place has 4.2 stars?! The worst Chinese food I have ever had. Not only did we wait for over 40 mins to get out food we got home and didn't have the main dishes like the shrimp fried rice or their so called chow mein!!! A bowl filled with slimey disgusting vegetables. We ordered Garlic chicken and Szechuan beef we got two container filled with vegetables and just a couple pieces of chicken and beef barely enough to serve one child! The pan seared dumplings had the most awful feet smell and taste. Do not trust these reviews this place is trash and $57 dollars later we are hungry and pissed we drove from Midway here. We ordered here for the first time and they said 45 mins and it took 1 hr and 15 mins. The food wasn't horrible compared to the other Chinese places that we've tried in the area. Fast forward to tonight we decided we would try it again. I placed the order at 4:50 and they said 1 hr delivery time. I waited 1.5 hrs and called and was told that the driver was on the way.... I ordered food and was told it would be 45-60 minutes. After an hour and 50 minutes I was told it was on its way. This order was on a Thursday night with only one other order on post before me. All that was offered to me was a 2 dollar discount... After the food arrived it was an hour past deliver time. I requested half off the meal she denied and offered 3 dollars. She said she would lose money if she agreed to the half off. So I told her I wanted a refund and she decided to lose out on all the money and still have to pay the driver a delivery fee. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, beef & broccoli,and sesame chicken and all were less then impressive. I read the reviews and since we were new to the area decided to give this restaurant a shot. The beef & broccoli was the worst, and as other reviews stated chewy (gross). Both chicken dishes were more breading than anything else. read more

Hinesville is small & the food selection is pretty small as well. I've had probably majority of the Chinese restaurants here. Peking was my second favorite & go to for delivery only because my favorite place doesn't deliver. But my patience with their piss poor customer service is gone & we will not be ordering again. First time I ever ate from there, the delivery & lies was ridiculous. A group of us ordered delivery to a school. We ordered a decent amount of food & expected it would take a little bit of time. Almost 3 hours later & multiple phone calls. We get told some story about the driver being lost & breaking down. So they sent another driver to pick up the food from the first driver, only for that driver to get lost as well. So then the girl who took our order over the phone decided she would go get the food & deliver it...she showed up with our order & it was piping hot but not recooked...weird right?! Last week I ordered delivery. Everything was fine & came in about an hour, except for they forgot my egg rolls. I called immediately only to argue back and forth with someone about how that couldn't have happened. They personally put the egg rolls in the bag & was I sure I checked the entire bag...I finally told them to just note it somewhere for my next order because I wasn't expecting to wait another hour for 3 egg rolls. Fast forward to today & I decided I wanted Chinese & the egg rolls I never received last weekend. The order comes two hours later...everything is actually in the bag...plenty of sauces & forks! The only redeeming, if any, quality about this place is the ONE woman behind the counter that speaks English. She was really nice & outgoing. That's about the only positive thing I can say about this place. We ordered the Beef Lo Mein, which was bland & greasy tasting and the Shrimp Fu Young, which was basically fried onions. Seriously, there was probably an entire freakin onion in this thing and FOUR, yes I counted, FOUR little shrimps, which I picked out of the greasy fried mass of onions to eat with the dry, poor excuse for Pork Fried Rice served up with it. Gourmet, shmoremet. I needed my Chinese fix and this place completely disappointed. I had ordered the beef lo mein and my wife got the shrimp egg foo young. The lo mein was quite flavorless and the egg foo young was more like onion foo young. there might have been a whole onion in the order. It also came with some pork fried rice that was very dry and old tasting. The service was great from the one person that could speak English. The prices aren't bad at all but that pretty much explains the quality. I wouldn't go back. read more

I am really upset because this used to be my favorite chinese restaurant here. Tonight I was SHOCKED to find a plastic thing in my egg roll! Like an entire plastic clip! I am so disgusted right now. I am a reasonable person though so I called them to see if they would try to make it right so I don't you know... SUE THEM! The Singapore curry noodles are on point! Fast delivery! This is by far the best in Hinesville. I recommend everyone try this place!

We've ordered from Peking Gourmet quite a few times. I love the online order feature. The food is ok, nothing to write home about. I'd say it's almost bland. Not a huge fan, but it tastes hot and fresh. The delivery service could use some work. After you order, the delivery driver shows up 2 hours later. It's kind of crazy when other deliveries take about 30-45 minutes. The last time we ordered, they messed up and forgot to add in spring rolls. The lady on the phone tried to insinuate that I was lying. I asked if they fell out of the bag in the car or possibly it was an oversight but the lady kept saying it was impossible. I think she got the owner on the phone and she offered to give free spring rolls on our next order. I asked how she would be able to remember to do that since there's no way to remember it was me. She refused to have the driver come out again and refused to refund me back the money. That was the last night we ordered from Peking Gourmet. We wanted to like them so much. I'd say if you take a chance, you're better off going up to the restaurant and ordering in person. Check your bag before you leave. Maybe things will improve if they hire another delivery driver and have someone quality check the orders before they go out. read more

Got some food delivered few days back. Imo, this is one of the worst Chinese places in Hinesville. Food is of course cheap and that should've been an indicator for us. But we still wanted to check them out. I ordered kung pao chix and had only three tiny pieces of chicken in it. And the kicker was, they apparently charged us 30% tip for delivery. I didn't notice it until my credit card company contacted me on it. It isn't worth my time to dispute the tip we gave them. But we will never be eating from them again for sure. So beware when you tip the delivery from them. read more
