My daughter has been going to PEL 3 years and has been excelling in class both English and math

This learning center has help my son excel in school but ex specially in math. He will be entering Junior high next year and thanks to PEL he will be in honor classes. I have recommended PEL to all my cousins and they have all seen improvements and a sense of confidence in their kids. Recently enrolled my 6 year old daughter and she loves the challenge PEL has given her. Truly recommend this place for children who think school work is too easy or students that need help in reading and math. They will challenge students to be better. read more

My daughter had been attending PEL learning center for couple years. PEL learning centers help my daughter to learn English more effective and their teachers are great. This center is amazing I truly like it. I was in search of a tutoring center that will actually help my first grader no just babysit them while they do homework. My child needed help in both math and English and after reviewing and calling so many centers this place seemed the best. We went to the free orientation and after talking to Mr. Fung my daughter started the following Monday. The PEL center is helping her so much. The place is nice and friendly and they tell you realistic goals and the main focus is the child. My family has seen how well she is improving now my nephew who is 4 is now attending the center. What I also like is that they take pre-K all the way to high school. This place the best, highly recommend to anyone looking for a real tutoring center. read more

I have all three of my children attending courses here and it has helped them tremendously. The curriculum appears to be set up for kids to succeed. I only wish I had found them earlier. This is a wonderful, effective program. Both our boys have been PEL math students for years, and both excel in math at school. The PEL program gets students acclimated to the virtues of practice and persistence, as they do math problems over and over, until it becomes rote and they master the concept they've learned. When they learn or have to use that concept in school, it's second nature for them, and they're given a huge advantage. The staff members at PEL are friendly and patient. Our daughter wasn't quite reading at her grade level so we went looking for help. Now after 7 months at PEL she is reading at grade level and we expect her to keep growing with the great help provided here. The workload is not too heavy as to interfere with the school work. We highly recommend this center if you are looking for your kid to get some needed help or simply want to strengthen their growing knowledge. read more

My family and I were actually on our way to pick up our daughter from St John's Catholic school, and passed by this "Yellow color PEL Banner" school sign on our way. I looked over and remembered the name from a Yelp search when we did earlier in the week. So, We decided to stop by so we both walked in. We were pleasantly greeted by the Director Mr. Han who asked him to come back after when the scheduled class is over at 7pm. It was great because I could participate in the parenting orientation after dropping off my nieces and see how we liked it. We both asked Mr. Han, Why PEL not Kumon? We said, sell us something good? The first thing he said was, we don't teach the kids, we COACH the kids. Ummmm? We want you to teach our daughter that's why we are here. Anyway, he is such a profound, well-educated professional who has never trashed talk about Kumon at all time. He was simply giving us the comparison between Kumon teaching methods versus their coaching methods. He has provided us with a progression chart for our daughter. His heart is there to help our daughter to advance her education to the next horizon rather than looking after $$$. We were so impressed by their well-planned systematic long term goal progression, self-learning, self-motivation and many more. Nevertheless, our daughter learned a great deal and it prepped her from fingers math to mental math. She started to learn how to calculate, read and write and started doing time management on her own. Amazing! Happily, we found it! The teachers make sure that the kids are learning and help our daughter and all other students from their heart. This is an excellent after school program that we both highly recommend PEL. GO PEL go PEL. It was a great switch after all! I think their only negative is that their class room appeal isn't look that great but their coaching and caring heart to the students is 100%. Don't worry though - the inside is more important than the outside :) read more

I have to start by saying that having my two kids enrolled in this PEL Learning Center has been the best thing that I have done for my kids. The passion and commitment that directors have for making sure that kids reach their full potential in the areas of math and reading is admirable. The director and team of staff have changed and shaped my kids life by creating great habits and the self confidence and self esteem that they have established is amazing.I have tried other programs like Kumons which I thought was okay until I joined PEL and saw a huge improvement in their math and reading. I noticed a big improvement in just a 6 month period. I truly recommend this place if you are looking to do something that make a difference in your kids life and help them reach their full potential. read more

I recommend this place for kids who has reading trouble, my son is on this program for four months and his regular teacher and my self notice a big improvement on his reading skills. He went from below grade level to grade level. I highly recommend this place. read more

My son has been in the PEL program for about three months now and so far he has become more confident in his reading and math skills, he is more engaged in his school work and honesty shown more improvement with this program in 3 months than he did after almost a year at kumon.
