This is a nice find. The sound of the rushing water was very relaxing. We went down by the rocks on the left side. To the right there was a walking trail, but a lot of it was overgrown and since our daughter had shorts on we stopped since we didn't know what we were walking through. That's why it's 4 stars. Not the fanciest of dog parks but pretty good size with separate play areas for small and big dogs. The wood agility/obstacle equipment within the park were dated and in need of some TLC and some fixing up but my dogs did enjoy climbing up and down the A-frame. The park had a shaded area with benches under the trees and kiddie pools with a faucet. Unfortunately, people don't seem to pick up well after their pups at this park so please watch your step! Stepping in dog poop makes for a really bad day. I do prefer this dog park over the Conestee dog park because this one has more grassy areas, some agility equipment and more open space for the dogs to run. read more

The fenced dog area is a great feature of this park but there is so much more to explore, with or without a furry friend! The park is based around the architectural remains of an old mill... some aspects are well preserved while others have been left for nature to takeover! Within sight of the parking lot is stone wall/dam across the Enoree River and it's very easily accessible to get to the overlook area. You can see the water rushing through the openings and flowing amongst the rocks as it continues down the river. If you're feeling a little more adventurous then you can walk down below the dam where the bulk of the architectural remains are! There is no clear path through them but the area is not closed off so I assume it's okay to wander at your own risk. Definitely don't miss the overlook and admiring the structure of the river dam, but this park also has a great walking/hiking path that starts from the dam and follows along the bank upriver. It's not real clearly signed, but the path is typically well-beaten and easy to follow. It doesn't loop, you end up kind of deadending as the bank narrows and bamboo thickens, but there is a good bit of area to explore! There is a bend in the river with a great sandy bank area along the trail that would be a nice place for a picnic - I once saw a couple letting their dog swim here. Full disclosure this park is adjacent to a wastewater treatment center and they clearly mark a "discharge" pipe that you pass along the trail. I'm not saying dirty water gets dumped, but it wouldn't be somewhere I would want to swim! The water is swiftly moving and has always appeared clean and clear when I have been there. read more

Dog owners do not pay attention to segregated dog areas. There is a reason for large dog & small dog sections. Most of the owners of small dogs take their animals into the large dog side which puts the small dogs on the defensive and causes a lot of stress on the smaller animal. When big dogs play, they play hard! Then the small dog owners start freaking out because they think the large dog is attacking their poor little baby! It's not the dogs fault, it's the stupidity of its owner. I'll never go back! read more

Open 24 hrs? No way I'd be out there at dark. My opinion, it's not where I'd take my dog, day or nite. Some lady made mention that the trails were like a meet up place for men. I did like looking at the old mill ruins. But that's just my take on it. read more

Lovely park with a dog walking area, picnic benches, barbecues, sidewalks, and great waterfall. It's the site of an old mill so the remaining architecture is beautiful . No play equipment for children, which is a shame. Loads of parking, so come have a picnic and bring the dog! read more

Small local park built in the site of an old great and Cotton Mill. A few paved walks but mostly paths to various overlooks on the Enoree River. The 1800's era damn and slices are in surprisingly good shape and the sound of water rushing thru the gates is beautiful. A few nicely done, explanatory signs are in the area. If you're a dog lover, the on site dog park is simple but very nice. read more

This is a very nice, peaceful dog park. There is lots of room for our dog to run around and a nice trail to walk too! If you make your way up the steps near the trail you can enjoy looking over the edge at the water. This is a great place for a cup of coffee and a walk with your dog! read more

Fountain for small dogs doesn't work. Shattered glass around the bench. Tree growth over the bench. No natural feel. I recommend Conestee Dog Park if you're in the area. read more

Fantastic alternative to Conastee Dog Park, where people don't monitor their dogs and you and your dog will end up being bit. Pelham's regulars seem really affable and attentive to their dogs. The grounds are great- large, grass and sand, agility, and both small and large dog sections. read more

I went with my daughter and dog and we loved it! We loved exploring in the historic part of the mill and then we took our dog to the side of the park for small dogs which is great Bc sometimes our dachshund can get a little hassles and over run by the big dogs. We went 2 days in a row Bc we I joyed ourselves so much the first day. We will obviously be back. read more

It is a dog park, historical mill ruin, and water treatment plant. It is NOT a park. There is no playground. There is a short, flat, thorny, unpaved trail around the perimeter by a creek. read more

Beware, especially if you have kids. The exposed areas and dog park are great, but evidently the trail is a hook up spot for some men (according to a quick online search). We were walking our dogs and right on the trail 2 men were awkwardly waiting for us to pass. It was obvious we had interrupted them as one was standing with his back to us like he was peeing, but it was clear that's not what was going on. It's sad because it really is a nice area by the river otherwise. read more
