I've experienced better."…read more Yesterday, a Saturday, I checked their website to see that they were open 'till 5 and made the drive from Arlington to Littleton to arrive around 3:20 only to have the door shut in our faces and be told, "I'm leaving early today." Granted it was a nice day to be riding one's motorcycle,but welcome to retail where you don't close the door on a customer well within normal business hours. Would I visit again? I'm not so stupid as to boycott if there were a good chance that they might have what I was looking for at a reasonable price. However, I'd never go again without calling first to be sure they'd be open and I recommend that you do the same. And some retailers wonder why so much business has moved to the Web? (Yes, I was able to complete my business elsewhere.)

And the horse models - she always leaves with a couple of those. The staff are friendly and helpful. They don't get in your way if you just say you're looking around, but if you have questions they know their stuff. I did buy some polo wraps on sale from the website. Two of the products were great, but another came in a damaged package and actually looked like one of the four wraps had been removed, possibly used and then poorly rerolled. I called customer service. They apologized for the condition and immediately shipped out a replacement item. I took the bad item to the store, explained the situation and they were going to send it back to the warehouse. No problem whatsoever. If I didn't live close, I could have just used the return shipping label that came with my order. I would have been charged extra shipping. It was cheaper to drive there. ;)

This is also the only tack shop that I know of anywhere near Concord without having to travel all the way down to Manchester. Make sure to use the side entrance as the front door is not the one that the shop is located in. If you're looking for something specific you might have to dig a little because there's so many items in this one little space. Ms. Sue, the owner is happy to order any items that you were looking for and she also knows all about horse training and is very knowledgeable. There was only an already build hutch, not one in the box. Michelle helped me load the hutch into the back of my suv on this VERY hot day. Unfortunately it didn't fit. She went inside and grabbed a screwdriver. Helped me take off one leg section etc. for it to fit inside my SUB. She stayed with me the entire time and piece by piece helped me put into my smaller sized suv. Michelle's dedication to customer service went above and beyond especially helping to great extent outside in 90° weather when she could've left me to deal with the hutch I already purchased on my own. People like Michelle are sadly very rare these days and I'm beyond grateful for her kindness and assistance. If corporate see's this review I hope she is acknowledged fully for her great work. I have a customer receipt from 8/24 offering TSC pellets at $5.69 a bag with an additional $25 off for a total of $284.50 per ton. In my area, Westford MA the same TSC hardwood pellet product is being sold @ $6.79 per bad discounted by the ton the total is $329.50. The difference is $45 per ton and I intended to purchase 5 tons saving me the buyer $225. However, I called TSC corporate and spoke with a rep who told me they would not price match despite their website claiming they would. I would like to report they claimed honoring price match is at the discretion of the store manager and not what corporate policy clearly dictates on the website. I told them I have a receipt I will gladly submit and they would not take it, denying the price is relevant. My request to speak to someone higher up in leadership was also denied. My call on their side is Reference # GSC1221005.

They gave me options and helped me find what I needed. Purchased 2 pairs of riding pants, a riding vest, a tote and a saddle pad...$300+. Let's face it, equestrian outfitting is expensive no matter where you shop. Still, they have a nice selection and the staff is SUPER helpful and friendly. Some of these places can be pretty snobbish just because they cater to the horsey crowd and many of those customers are obnoxious elitists too. Not so here. They will bend over backwards to find what you need and even advise on where you might find it inexpensively if they can't supply the item. I'm only taking away the one star because of the stuffiness and heat in the store. Some fans to move the air would have been great. I'm not big on air conditioning per se, however it's a concrete building they're in and it felt quite closed in. One ancient a/c unit was wheezing away in a far back window, but wasn't having much effect at all. The location is a bit off the beaten path. Whenever we visit, it seems out of business, but when you walk in, there's plenty of merchandise. I'd like to see some more signage and maybe some flowers in a planter, something to make the establishment more lively and welcoming from the exterior. It's too nice of a place to pass by!
