Like many couples, my husband and I enjoy perusing Zillow over Saturday morning coffee. We had a good idea of what we wanted - a much larger lot, an elevated home, and water views. One property caught our eye, and in early January I reached out to John to see if we could just casually go look at it. Ha! I should have known that there is no such thing as casually looking at real estate. As soon as we saw it, we knew we wanted it. We did look at a few other properties as a sanity check, but they just didn't compare. We decided to move forward with an arduous negotiation that left us all on pins and needles. Through it all, John was very responsive and offered well-timed and much-needed comedic relief. We ended up under contract on our new home at $75,000 under asking. Next, we had to sell our house! Peace of cake in this market, really, but John made the process smooth and nearly effortless. He sent over very kind gentlemen to clean up the yard and lay new mulch. He also sent over a very professional and talented photographer that captured our home beautifully. We have two young children, so it was important to us that showings be scheduled in advance and be as unobtrusive to the children's schedule as possible. which is a request that John took seriously. When it did come to showings, we ended up scheduling 4 a day before we were officially going to begin showing the home...and ended up with 4 offers that night, 3 of which were over asking. We ended up with John by word of mouth - friends of ours had a very positive experience with him. Let us be that positive experience for you - you will not be disappointed with John, or with anyone on his team.

I called John back in September frantically looking for some direction as I began my search for a house in Mount Pleasant, while still living in Boston, in the middle of a pandemic! We only had a few weeks until the big move, and with the COVID travel restrictions; I was anxious to have to do it all remotely. John was confident we could get this done within our short time frame with no issues, and he was absolutely right!! That very afternoon he had two virtual showings scheduled, and we hit the ground running. From day one, John never wavered. John's knowledge of the area helped keep me informed about the specific neighborhoods and their price ranges, and throughout this entire process, we never felt pressured!! We also saw first hand that John and his team have a unique ability to adjust & adapt to their clients needs on the fly. We always felt John had our best interests at heart. He wasn't looking to get us into any house just because we were in a rush. He wanted to get us into a house we would love, in a neighborhood we would love, and he did!! If your looking for true professionals to get you into the house of your dreams, no matter the circumstances....look no further than John Bell and The Southern Bell Team!!!

I am Michael B. writing this letter in hopes of letting sellers/buyers be aware of the following…read morerealtor company known as Lauren Zurilla & Associates.   I reached out to many companies in South Carolina with hopes of searching for my next home. I did a Google search for realtor companies in the Charleston area of South Carolina and contacted the ones with the best reviews along with years of service. Lauren Zurilla & Associates was a company we made contact with and decided to do our business with. I felt that the initial conversation went well and the agent was willing to work with us based on our needs. I want to tell you briefly about it. We are from New Jersey, just like most that are planning for retirement, vacation home, etc. We are looking to purchase within the next two years or so. Just like most consumers, we are taking our time to do our research in the area as well as properties before making this investment. So we were in contact with the said agent and a realtor by the name of Elena, who was pleasant and seemed willing to help us. We provided her with our wishlist with the type of homes which included our time frame to purchase. We also provided our itinerary of when we were traveling down there from New Jersey with my whole family. We were in conversations through text, email, and phone calls. Mind you there was never any discussion from the agent about signing any forms or contracts until a day before our travels. This is not my first time buying a home either, this would have been my third purchase. I am aware that each state is different about purchasing, but from previous experience, nothing has been required to be signed until I was ready to purchase. When it was getting closer to the dates that we would be traveling down, it felt like she was pushing us to not use her services. Which we eventually decided not to due to her sequence of actions. It began a couple of weeks before our trip with polite reasonings as to why she could not make time to accept phone calls. As I continued to persist in finding a time slot that mutually worked, she finally scheduled a phone call. In that phone call, the trip was seven days away from us arriving in South Carolina. The purpose of that phone call was to get an understanding of what we are looking for in this future property. The wishlist we had already provided months prior when the initial inquiry with this company was made. We repeated our same wishlist, along with reminding her about the email we replied to of the listings she sent us of homes we liked so she can get an idea of what we were interested in. Before that phone call and after that phone call is a list of excuses that foreshadowed her lack of interest in helping us find our second home. One of the excuses was that she had COVID the night before we were scheduled to meet her. If you did, why not contact us when you suspected it, rather than waiting until the clients reached out to confirm the meeting time for the scheduled appointment? Before that, she states she typically does not go on house showings with her clients because she feels that she would get in the way. After we insisted that she should be a part of the showings, she then proceeded to say her vehicle's capacity only fits a maximum of five people feeling forced to say if some of my family wanted to ride with her they could but her car was not spacious enough. In my previous experiences, I took my vehicle and followed the realtor in case of any emergencies. Given her excuse of her vehicle being inadequate for us to ride with her should not have been brought up as a factor. Which was just tied to her other excuse of the clients going on the showings on their own. Then with her having COVID, she pushed us off to go to another realtor of her choosing on the day of the appointment, stating that she did not prepare any homes for us to view because we did not provide her with a wishlist, and she did not know what homes/ properties we were interested in. She continued to push the blame on us due to her lack of professionalism and being unprepared. Again, we provided our wishlist multiple times, along with multiple emails of properties that interest us.   The list goes on. If she did not want our business she should have stated that from the beginning when she lost interest due to our two-year time frame of purchasing a home. I just want to make you all aware of this company for those that are looking for a pleasant home buying experience, especially those coming from out of state.
