Easily, the best Korean Fried Chicken place! It's a big step up from bb.q and bon chon. The crispiness is unmatched and I'm never disappointed with the flavor profile. The franchise is generally consistent throughout its locations, but I have appreciated my times in eating at this location. If you're looking for a casual spot and craving fried chicken and beer, you don't have to look any further. Honestly, not much can be said about the fries, onion rings, etc. They're good, but they don't stand out (except for they're a little oily).

Honestly really really good fried chicken. The lady at the counter was SOOOOOO helpful in assisting me with choices. Shout out to her! BONELESS CHICKEN (CRISPY) Super crispy and craggly/crunchy with tender dark meat inside ( you can choose white vs dark ) and we got lvl2 spice sauce on the side which is awesome. Lv1 is actually not spicy and just sweet. Super tender, delicious, and one of the best korean fried chicken experiences I've had in a long time. KIMCHI PANCAKE Their kimchi is made in house and you can really appreciate the freshness and crunchiness of it. The pancake itself is not really crunchy and is more soft and lightly crisp. CHEESE FRIES Got a side of cheese fries with our chicken. Good fries, melted cheese was giving a nostalgic melted artificial cheese (you can choose other types of cheese if you're looking for something special. But I personally love this artificial nacho cheesy sauce that goes over their fries.

The fried chicken was very crispy and delicious. I ordered through Uber eats and received my order quickly and still crispy. I wouldn't compare this fried chicken to traditional fast food fried chicken. It's legit authentic and has that fresh fried homemade taste. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. The price is a bit high but inflation is everywhere so I guess it'll still do.

Another location of this Korean fried chicken franchise from Korea. Pelicana always has some of the best Korean fried chicken in my opinion: ultra crispy, tender, and sauces that satisfy the entire spectrum of the palate from sweet, salty, to spicy. The size of the wings here are ginormous as well. Their unlimited alcohol option at the Greenpoint location is a killer deal. Seems like a good option to get some food in the tummy and pregame before a night out. Just wish they had an outpost in south Brooklyn!

As with any Pelicana Chicken, the fried chicken here is second to none! Absolutely some of the best restaurant chain fried chicken on the planet (Popeyes included!) After having visited their location in Manhattan's Koreatown, it was really nice to FINALLY see Pelicana Chicken expanded to Brooklyn. Unfortunately for South Brooklynites, it's still a ways away in Greenpoint, but beggars cannot be chosers. Nevertheless, the menu and fried chicken here is like any other location, so I won't go into detail about that. However, as for recommendations, definitely go with the original or crispy fried chicken and have sauces on the side for dipping. The crispy chicken is so crunchy and perfectly fried. You will not regret it! For those doing takeout, if you put the sauce on the side, you can go a bit longer without eating it, especially if you have a trek home. However, if you're eating the chicken in restaurant or you're not too far from home, by all means go for the chicken tossed in the sauces. As for the sauces, you won't lose with any of them. It's really a matter of preference for your taste buds. Also, for this location, it is located in a busy section of Greenpoint, so parking can be a challenge depending on the part of the day and day of the week. Other than that, enjoy the fried chicken!

Hands down the best K fried sweet boneless chicken thighs I've had. I honestly can't decide if I'd choose this or bonchon wings any old day. But they are distinctly different. Pelicana original chicken is more like the best general tao chicken or any variations of a gumpongi styled chicken. It's sweet as hell w a hint of Chinese five spice & gonchujang that you want to slather over a ginormous bowl of white rice. And then pass out. It's decadent, amazing as hell. We had other things but not worthy of discussing when I've already raged over the best thing they have here. What are you waiting for?!

Pelicana is an absolute gem when it comes to Korean fried chicken.went with my friend Jakob. The batter is light and crispy, giving every bite a satisfying crunch that is simply addictive. Their sauces are incredibly well-balanced, adding a delightful kick without overpowering the natural flavors of the chicken. The service at Pelicana is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with any requests you may have. The ambiance of Pelicana is cozy and casual, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a laid-back meal with friends or family. In summary, Pelicana is a must-visit for any Korean fried chicken enthusiast.

    Sweet potato fries

$9 for this tiny portion of sweet potato fries and they didn't even have the respect to throw me a packet of ketchup. OVERPRICED! UNDERWHELMING!

Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Our server John was so sweet and energetic. We did have to remind him a couple of times for little things but he was new so I give him a pass. The only reason this place isn't 5 stars is because Soju is the only liquor option available. We ended up just getting a lemonade and a ginger ale.

Wings Sweet & Spicy Level 2 and fries

Pelicana is a close second to Mad For Chicken. The wings are yummy, level 2 spicy was pretty mild so next time I would get level 3. The japchae and Mac and cheese are great as well. You can add Parmesan on the top which was gives it more flavor and extra cheesiness, and for $1 extra, it's worth it. It was a little hard to get our server's attention, another person had to call him. And another table had to go up to him to get their check closed out. Other than that, great place.

    Soy wings . Very flavorful.
    Marsha E.

Honestly really good soy wings. Soft and very flavorful. I used a Groupon voucher and they honored it with no issues. Great staff, clean facility. The only reason why I gave them 4 instead of 5 starts is because of the wait time. I waited about 25 to 30 minutes for 20 piece wings, and there was only 1 person before me . If they were short staffed I definitely understand but to my knowledge they were not. Other than that a great place to dine in or take out. I will definitely be returning without a Groupon.

Last night we decided it was time she try Korean food, and specifically he wanted to choose a Bib Gourmand restaurant. We booked this reservation the same day, and watched spots get taken as we booked on the website! Street parking wasn't hard to find and we were greeted and seated immediately. We loved the calming atmosphere inside and had a table with a view of everything. After offering us water, we decided on drinks. I ordered the Velvet Reviver, which was described as an espresso martini meets a White Russian. It was delicious and almost like a dessert drink. My boyfriend ordered The Squid & The Whale which grew on all of us, especially paired with our food. To start, we shared the Yache pajun (vegetable scallion pancakes) and the Dukboki fundido (a Mexican inspired spicy, hot, cheesy dip with my favorite chewy Korean rice cakes inside). The scallion pancakes were delicious and had much more texture than once I have tried in the past, paired with a perfect vinegary sauce you can spoon on top. We all loved the dip and it was the perfect amount of spicy and comforting chewiness. I then was recommended a white wine to pair with the appetizer I chose as my entree, the Yeoneo. Each slice of salmon was incredibly fresh, and they were very generous with the amount of row that was served as well. The greens and avocado slices were great as well to add more texture. My boyfriend then ordered a yummy beer and the Daegu jorim. We absolutely adored this dish and noted that the cod had perfect structure to it, that almost mimic that of the deliciously cooked radishes in this dish. His mother ordered the ultimate comfort dish of the night, the Kalbi jjim (with no jalapeños). We were in awe at how the meat fell apart due to how tender it was. If you like melt in your mouth beef and stew like dishes, this is the dish for you. Our food was served with some banchan: amazing kimchi, myeolchi bokkeum (dried anchovies, much more mild than you'd expect), and kongjang (soy beans, also mild and with more chew than a typical edamame you might expect). We absolutely loved our dinner here and how helpful and kind the weight staff was, explaining different dishes and flavors, and clearing and switching out our plates at every turn.

Since I was staying in Brooklyn for work, Haenyeo was an easy choice for a date night dinner. We went on a Thursday evening around 8pm. We didn't have a reservation but were seated immediately without a wait. The restaurant was fairly busy; if you're planning ahead I would consider making a reservation. We started with an order of the Japchae. Then we ordered the Bibimbop with chicken and the Bulgogi. The Japchae was underwhelming. Not a strong flavor profile, leaned sort of bland. The entrees were much better. The rice in the Bibimbop had a really yummy crispy layer. When all mixed together, it's a great melody of flavors and textures. The Bulgogi was equally enjoyable. Definitely recommend the red spicy sauce it comes with. We shared both entrees among 2 people and felt the portions sizes were decent - neither left hungry. The service was okay. We didn't seem to have a dedicated server. It felt like all the wait staff takes care of everyone simultaneously? Everyone was friendly; there was just a long wait for someone to come for our food order. If you're looking for an authentic experience with Korean food, this may be the spot for you.

As someone who really enjoys KBBQ, I came in with high expectations. The experience ended up being just okay. The biggest letdown was the banchan. The kimchi in particular did not taste fresh, and while I can usually appreciate well-fermented kimchi, this felt past its prime. The rest of the banchan did not stand out either. For the meats, we tried the dry aged ribeye, hanger steak, and non-marinated galbi. The ribeye was underwhelming and a bit too chewy for my liking, especially given the expectations around dry aging. The hanger steak ended up being the most flavorful and tender of the three. The galbi had great marbling and was apparently cut fresh that day, but in a city with strong KBBQ competition, it did not quite stand above the rest. That said, the service really stood out. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal. If there is one thing I would remember most from this visit, it is the level of care from the team.

Happy to report that I was pleasantly surprised! Almost everything we ordered was delicious! Both Korean Fried Chicken orders had good flavor and great for sharing. I rarely see Soy Ginger as an option (usually it's Soy Garlic) but I like the slight sharpness it added to each bite. The Seafood Pancake was crispy, loaded with seafood, and paired nicely with the ponzu. The Slow Loris Roll was incredible! The rice ratio was just right, there was a good variety of fish and it was all fresh, the avocado and sauces added nice creaminess, and torching the roll was the cherry on top. The Spicy Bulgogi Fried Rice with Cheese was super savory, the sunnyside egg was cooked perfectly, and the portion was solid. I didn't care for the cheese and honestly could've done without and not noticed. It did need something to cut through the richness. I did enjoy the Beef Galbi much more! It is brought to the table sizzling and smelling amazing. It's savory, sweet, and smoky. I like that it's paired with kimchi & rice making this is complete meal.
