    Fattat Lahma

Walked in on a Friday night and it was only about 15 minutes to be seated. We started with the Qahwa Arabia (coffee). The cardamom gave it such a beautiful depth of flavor. My friend who doesn't like coffee enjoyed it. The muhammarah - absolutely delicious. That pomegranate molasses is something special! The pita was served hot and fresh. Olive oil and zatar were the perfect pairing. If we weren't going out after, we would have purchased the large jug of oil to take home. For the main I had the Fattat Lahma. 100/10 - no notes. Highly recommend. My only note about this place is the downstairs seating was very cold. Usually that wouldn't be enough to take a star away but it was pretty impactful on my experience. Outside of that, food and service were incredible and I will absolutely be back.

Dined in for a large group dinner and we each ordered the Ramadan special ($45 pre-set 4-course meal). Huge serving sizes! Not everything pictured but the dishes were so large that we thought it was for table sharing. But they're actually individual servings. The soup and appetizer plate is a great start. Nice little munchies. The main meat platter has a tasty array of meats but 3/4 were more dry than I hoped. Baklava is sweet and yummy finish. The staff were very accommodating for working with and fitting all the food on our table of 12.

Frequent Ayat on multiple occasions. Came as a walk in with 4 people to last minute reservation of 8 to a large group resy with 15. They were always quick to accommodate. The food constantly is amazing. The olive oil is flavorful. The serving sizes are worthwhile. And the services and ambiance of the restaurant is great. I always bring my friends and family when they visit

The food at Ayat is consistently amazing - I used to frequent their Bay Ridge location and decided to take my friends to Bushwick for a taste of Palestinian food. Large portions with bold flavors, you really can't go wrong with anything you order here. I did notice that the menu here is a bit different from the Bay Ridge location, so I'm unsure if menus vary between each restaurant. My one issue with this restaurant is the service. The staff is dismissive, and it took 30 minutes to attempt to flag someone down for the check - then another 15 to try to grab a to-go container before angrily walking up to the counter and locating it ourselves. They all seem young and like a close knit friend group, prioritizing conversations about their personal lives over serving customers. We noticed multiple tables around us experiencing the same, which was disheartening.

Walked in ~8pm with a party of five and got seated within ~20-30 minutes! There's more seating (and quiet) downstairs. The Mezze Filistini was a crowd favorite - while I couldn't have the muhammarah (contains walnuts), I really enjoyed the freshness of the baba ganoush, creaminess of the hummus, tartness of the labneh.

Excellent Palestinian food in Brooklyn. Nice mix of traditional home cooked dishes and more contemporary spins on Mediterranean food. Lively environment, clean restaurant and great service. We ordered the cold mezze platter, mixed shawarma plate, and mansaf.

This was one of my favorite meals of the trip. Ayat serves Palestinian food and it's a beautiful restaurant. Service was warm and the server had great recommendations. We loved the mezze sampler (eggplant, hummus, and yogurt sauce were the best), pizzawarma, and above all, the mansaf w/ lamb shank (incredibly tender). Highly recommend checking this spot out, also byob.

This was my first time at this Ayat location, and I had a nice experience. The restaurant was beautiful, clean, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. The lighting was perfect, the temperature was comfortable, and it wasn't overly loud, making it easy to enjoy our meal and conversation. The service was excellent. The staff seated us in the back, which gave our family extra space and privacy with our kids. We were near the restroom and stairs, but it wasn't an issue at all. The food was impeccable, as always. The hibiscus tea was incredibly refreshing, and my toddler enjoyed the lemonade. We ordered the mezze platter, which was generous enough to fill us up. The mansaf was delicious, the meat was tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the yellow rice and broth. We also had the salmon, which came with a fresh salad, rice, and a flavor bomb toum garlic sauce. Staff did not rush us at all, and were nice. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. Great food, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Ayat, can only be described as a euphoric dining experience. This restaurant has quickly become a favorite among friends in the city. The atmosphere is incomparable, cozy enough for conversation but busy enough to hear the laughter and joy around you. The food is indescribable, beautifully seasoned with unforgettable flavor. The staff is also incredibly kind, and very thoughtful in their service. Some menu highlights were the halloumi watermelon salad (truly life changing), the Pistachio Paradise Pizza, and the Chicken Shawarma. All dishes were amazing, but these were each unforgettable. Ayat is the spot to go if you want a unique and outstanding experience in a homey environment with beautiful ambiance. This is a must try restaurant, I'll be taking every visitor I have!

An excellent Palestinian restaurant right across from the park. Lots of seating with street views. Service is friendly but slow, which means that they take their time making the food. Free corkage and bread. We tried the hummus, which was very good, and Fried Haloumi, which was excellent. For entree, we had the Lamb Ouzi, which was excellent, others had BBQ Chicken and Kebabs and they said that it was good. The lamb was perfectly cooked and spiced and fell off the bone. The accompanying rice with ground meat, spices and almonds was excellent.

The ambiance was very nice and their menus are so cute ! I ordered the shrimp Kebab and it was a good portion size. I will say Ive had better rice and shrimp flavor wise but overall 3.5/5. They don't have liquor but it's BYOB so thats cool! Theres a liquor store near by if you are into that vibe. I had a lemon based drink that was super refreshing. If you're in the neighborhood i'd check it out.

Came here with my bf on a weekday right at opening time. We were the only customers there but service was slow and waited over 20 mins for appetizers. Ordered hummus and the hot app mix. Shortly after the apps came out, my bf's entree came out right behind it. He ordered the pizzawarma. Sadly the meat inside it was dry. I ordered the lamb ouzi for my main dish but that didn't make it to table until my bf was done with his entree. The lamb dish had nice presentation but lacked in flavor. Packed most of it to go because I got too full nibbling on apps waiting for it to come out.

I've been wanting to try Palestinian food for some time now. Ayat has been all over my feed lately. The interior was beautiful. We ordered the hot appetizer mix to start and the zataar margherita. Both were fire. I had the chicken shawarma platter which was so big and super flavorful. There was enough to bring home. Servers were attentive and polite. I would love to come back soon to try other foods!

The waitress was super professional and gave us suggestions from the menu items. She suggested the Peaches Punch (rum and positive vibes) and she did not disappoint. Peaches Punch was sweet and citrus. My fam is southern, migrated from North Carolina to Brooklyn, so I am not a stranger to southern food. My mother was a sou cook in a small water front hotel on the intercostal waterway, so I confess I am a chair side critic of collard greens. I do not like collards simmered too sweet. I also like to add vinegar. So we ordered the fried catfish, cornbread, and collard greens. The catfish arrived seasoned and crispy. I added a dash of Texas Petes hot sauce, they seriously offer a variety of hot sauce. Love it. The collard greens were inviting, aromatic, and tender. The smell of the collards reminded me of Sunday dinner after training. Yes, it tasted old school, I greatly appreciated the southern vibe and the great southern hospitality. The main entrées were affordable and the drinks were worth every penny. This is within walking distance from my home. I will definitely return for collard greens. Please make a date to sit out on the sidewalk and order those collards.

During a recent breakfast visit celebrating both my mother's birthday, I had a disappointing customer service experience. I would first like to recognize the young gentleman who served our table . A mexican young man. , He was professional, attentive, and courteous throughout our visit. The issue arose when I ordered a Peach Bellini that did not taste as expected. It lacked the peach flavor I had enjoyed on previous visits and tasted more like orange juice. I asked if it could be replaced with a ginger ale. My server was handling another table and zi was willing to wait. . But a women of Spanish decent light skin and heavy set approached our table and explained there were policies regarding returning something. . Rather than simply processing the substitution, she repeatedly encouraged me to keep the drink and offered to add more peach flavoring. I explained several times that I simply did not like the beverage and preferred a ginger ale instead.. I also told her I an celebrating a birthday abd do not wish to go back and forth. She tried to explain all drinks are made thd same which is not the same. She has to remember she does not just represent herself but the Peaches establishment. As a former bartender, I understand that drinks can vary, despite efforts at consistency. My concern was not the drink itself but the lengthy discussion. I felt pressured to justify a simple request during what was meant to be a special celebration Our bill exceeded $100, and as a longtime customer, I expected a more customer-focused response. If there is a formal policy regarding drink returns or exchanges, it would be helpful for it to be clearly posted. They eventually substituted it. But I should not have to goI though all that. Overall, my experiences at your restaurant have been very positive, which is why this incident stood out. The food was excellent, and our server was wonderful. I hope this feedback can be used as a coaching opportunity. Customer concerns are often best resolved through listening, empathy, and flexibility. .

So..... we went and totally understand the hype. As soon as you walk in, you can smell the amazing dishes and you can literally feel the love they put on each plate as they serve the guests. I almost don't want to share this review for fear that the line may get longer but this restaurant is now one of the few that I recommend you go out of your way to try and enjoy. Their menu is classically simple but made with an abundance of care and no shortcuts in their cooking. As you are seated you are welcome to place your order in the front of the glass display, they cook everything in house and sometimes they run out of the specials so don't sleep on getting there on time. We ended up getting their lunch specials and picked one main and two sides. I know my girl loves Ox Tails and ended up getting the last plate with some candied yams and Mac and cheese. Let me tell you, we cleaned the plate and it was finger licking good!!! The jerk ribs were amazingly tender and fall off the bone. All of the sides were well portioned and absolutely flawless. Don't come here if you're on a diet there is only one way to enjoy this restaurant and it's to just dive in. FYI - you will need a nap after your meal. I wanted to love it so much especially since TikTok critic/MMA fighter Keith Lee visited them in 2023, but my experience was not like his. I want to say that online reviews are almost about accurate. They were out of cold salads and collard greens which was an issue for other customers at times as well. No problem, they were super helpful and offered an alternative but not a good one. I had steamed vegetables that mashed in my mouth like mashed potatoes when I took a bite. I did end up going to another spot for collard greens and potato salad because you can't have soul-food without that. I had the rib dinner with mac n cheese and yams and a tiny piece of complimentary cornbread. The ribs definitely taste amazing but they don't take off the membrane in the back which is slimy and gross. I left that part behind. The yams were sweet and good BUT.....that mac n cheese is NOT soul-food Mac n cheese. Here's the thing I figured out, they use such little cheese but season the noodles very well that you don't truly notice unless you love mac n cheese, which I do, so I noticed it lacked so much cheese but had seasoned noodles. The rib dinner was a 3/5 because ribs were great but sides needed help. I had rice and peas as an additional side and fried wings. The wings were ATROCIOUS! I ate the smallest one and didn't eat the rest. How can you serve such huge feathered wings like that? It was a nightmare. The feathers being on it turned me off. This tells me they don't make their food with care, they move quick to be one and done and I want my food cooked with love and care. They were also frozen wings that were thawed and seasoned, I know the difference. The rice and peas were okay 3/5 as well. Overall the food was not worth the hype. Customer service was beautiful for sure but the food was not it.

I was disappointed with the behavior of the two workers in 95 south restaurant and when I went to the server/bartender I was so humble didn't yell and scream and didn't even want a refund from the salty food because I know when I can before the food was wonderful then on top of that with the bathroom situation I understand that you stand on your feet behind a bar to serve drinks and at one point you definitely have to use the bathroom but the way that worker came out stating she's gonna use the bathroom because she works there was so unprofessional and demanding and I waited for sometime also and if she would have ask in a fashionable manner why would I not let her go before me but when she said I'm gonna go because I work here I never been in a restaurant like that I thought the customers are supposed to be treated with respect but I guess I was wrong

One thing I cannot stand about restaurants or food trucks is having a large menu that you cannot…read moreconsistently deliver. If you have 10, 15, or 20 items on the menu but most of them are unavailable, what's the point? That pretty much describes my experience with Harlem Seafood Soul. I've driven past this food truck many times while operating the M60 and finally decided to stop and give it a try. Looking at the menu online, I was excited. Catfish, whiting, mac and cheese, collard greens, shrimp and grits, and other soul food favorites all sounded amazing. The problem came when I arrived around 1:30 in the afternoon. I wanted catfish. Sold out. I wanted whiting. Sold out. I wanted mac and cheese. Sold out. I wanted collard greens. Sold out. At that point, most of the options available were shrimp dishes. For a place called Harlem Seafood Soul, I expected more of the soul food menu to still be available in the middle of the day. If items are regularly selling out that early, then either more food needs to be prepared or the menu needs to better reflect what's realistically available. Another thing that surprised me is that I've visited other food trucks and carts that have been featured on TV shows, and many of them have an app, online ordering, or some way to place an order ahead of time. Where do you order Harlem Seafood Soul from? If I'm spending over $30 for lunch, I'd like the option to place my order in advance and have it ready when I arrive. To be fair, the wait wasn't long, and my frustration isn't with the people working there. Everything looked good, and I'm still planning to try the shrimp and grits. My issue is with availability. It's hard to get excited about menu items that aren't there when you arrive. I love supporting Black-owned businesses, and I want Harlem Seafood Soul to succeed. That's exactly why I'm leaving this review. The food sounds delicious, but you've got to do better with keeping your signature menu items available. Customers shouldn't have to arrive before lunchtime is over to have a chance at ordering them. This visit felt like a disappointment. Honestly, I'm not even sure if I want to give it another try. When a menu gets you excited and then most of what you came for isn't available, it leaves a bad first impression.
