    Ground Pork Basil Rice

Would definitely come back! We order the Pad Thai and Ground Pork Basil. Pad Thai - delicious, not too dry and not too saucy. I feel like Pad Thai is one of those dishes that a place either gets or doesn't, so it's always one of the first things we try. It was great! Ground Pork Basil - also delicious. It could be spicier, that's our only critique. Egg was perfectly cooked with a runny yolk and the pork had great flavor! Service was good. No complaints. Waitress was friendly and promptly refilled our water. The place is cute, small and intimate.

Only ever ordered for delivery. Spice level is accommodating. Personally i go for "very spicy" which, leaves me looking like a hot mess afterwards. But am left with a comforting, serene satisfaction. And craving more.

I just had the best meal! Seriously, everything was on point. The appetizers were a hit, especially the Curry Puff and Thai Papaya Salad--so flavorful and just the right amount of kick! For the main dishes, the Red Curry Duck was rich and delicious, and the Miso Ramen had a perfect spice level. We also ordered the Stir-Fried Red Snapper with Ginger Sauce and the Ground Beef Basil over Rice with fried egg which were both total standouts. I love that the fried egg was cooked perfectly The desserts were all on point and not too sweet! We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice and Fried Bananas with Honey Whip Cream. For drinks we had : Purple Lemonade Lychee, and Mango Juice. All super refreshing and beautifully presented The service was fantastic too! The staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home.

Amazing place! Came here for a 6 PM dinner on Friday night and had plenty of seating to choose from. My friend and I decided to share the chicken satay, the shrimp rolls, tofu pad Thai, pork masaman curry and mango sticky rice and a Thai iced tea. Everything was delicious and we stayed for hours until closing because we didn't have to leave. There were a number of people that came in that were regulars for either takeout or were eating in. Can't say too much about the space, but it was clean and good temperature even on a rainy 50° day. Would definitely come back, everything that we ate came out to $35 per person including tip and I had leftovers of curry and pad Thai.

Charged me for Shrimp rolls today, didn't get them.

I came with three other people on an October Monday evening, it was a slower day and there was one person working. Water refills were quick as well as the food. The interior is quite cozy with cute art on the wall and there were Halloween decorations up as it was October. We ordered two drunken noodles because, iconic. And something different which were the pad sukiyaki and sukiyaki noodle soup. The sukiyakis were ok, there were more veggies than noodles and the chicken was dry. Thai iced tea was way too sweet. Note there is a card fee.

Good Thai food in East Williamsburg. I got the usual Pad Kee Mao for their lunch special which include a soda, and 1 spring roll. Their noodles were soft and chewy, not as spicy as I wished. I also tried my friend veggie summer roll and it was a very healthy choice; not my favorite. My friend got the mushroom tempura and said it was so good; nice meaty texture. In the end we got fried ice cream which was a really nice treat. The server told us to wait after he set the plate down and BAM, he set it on fire. This is a nice place to bring a date and kind of Whoo them with entertainment. After my meal, I also ordered, chives cake, another pad kee mao and papaya salad. This time, they really made it spicy. So good!

Uuuhhh, This just in everyone... The duck soup broth is still delicious at 2 days old and cold. I repeat, TWO DAYS OLD AND COLD! That is all.

Came here on a rare trip to Williamsburg and decided to try out this place that I've saved for a long time. Can say it was def worth it! We got 3 appetizers and 3 entrees for a group of 4 and it was the perfect amount of food. For appetizers, we got the following: - Crab Rangoon - Curry Puff - Steamed Chicken & Shrimp Thai Dumplings The Crab Rangoon was the perfect size to pop the whole piece into your mouth and let the filling burst. The crust was not too thick like a lot of other places, which I liked and the cream cheese filling was really good! The Curry Puff was crispy and not too thick, making it easy to eat. The Steamed Chicken & Shrimp Thai Dumplings were actually on the house and we expected it to taste similar to shumai, but the inner part is actually slightly different and kind of like a ball of soft meat mixed together. For the main dishes, we got these three: - Kao Soi with Shrimp - Massaman Curry with Beef - Basil Sauce with Chicken I've found that Kao Soi differs vastly across restaurants and can say that the one here was one of the best ones I've had. Would highly recommend getting it! The flavor was not too sweet and the crispy noodle was a nice texture where when soaked into the sauce, it became softer and easier to eat. The Massaman Curry with Beef was also flavored properly and not too sweet for Thai food. We asked for mild spice, but I think we could've went for even spicier. The Basil Sauce with Chicken was a lighter dish to help balance out the other thicker sauce ones. Overall, the flavor of the food was just right across and I liked every dish, which does not happen often. Definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area and looking for some good Thai food!

Cute cozy spot for thai food in Williamsburg Area! Everything is afforadable and portion are definitely worth the price! The appetizer were amazing! We got the steamed dumplings, curry puffs and crab ragoons. The skin of the curry puff and crab ragoons were crispy and light, easy to bite into. The inside were both flavorfu, creamy and hot but not hot enough to burnbyour mouth. The steamed dumplings were a delight, soft and full of flavor as well. As for the main, we order three dishes. First was the Kao Soi Noodles with shrimp. So impactful and filling! It was a big portion and had noodles, shrimp along with carrots, onions and other various toppings! It all mixed well together, the creaminess of the sauce along with the pinch of lime made it rich and savoury! Definitely a recommend. We also got the masaman curry with beef. A nice fulfilling portion filled with tender beef and a delicious curry. Mixed with rich, it provided us with an amazing blend of aromatic flavors from both the jasmine rich and curry. Lastly we had the sauteed chicken with basil sauce and rice. It was a great portion, filled with checken that were not dry at all! The basil sauces provided a great refreshing flavor that wasn't too sweet but just enough to erase the creaminess from the other dishes. Overall, everything was delicious and filled with amazing flavors! Everything is a recommend, whether its for a date or group of friends. Not only that, our server was amazing, checking in on us often to make sure everything is okay! Definitely a go to Thai spot from now on

For the main entree, my eyes caught the attention of clay pot mix-fried rice with shrimp, chicken, sweet sausage, and my partner chose shrimp pad thai. Nothing really stood out with the dishes; I found it to be a bit Americanized, having eaten in so many Thai restaurants around New York City. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here; our food came in timely fashion, and the customer service is good as well, but it's probably not your place if you are seeking a more authentic Thai-style cooking.

They were absolutely packed despite the time. We ordered the pad see ew with shrimp, the crab fried rice (amazing), the Pak Mor which is a sweet and savory rice roll that comes with coconut cream dipping sauce (drool worthy), and last but not least the Kao Tom Haeng which also comes with a tasty broth on the side. I'd say that the pad see ew was the weakest dish of what we ordered but it was still tasty. I think it would have been nicer with a different protein, perhaps chicken or tofu. The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. Lunch in Brooklyn during in-between meetings of my professional duties of a Wednesday afternoon…read moresummons Thai cuisine. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

The restaurant is tiny, so be sure to make a reservation. As a lover of spicy food, the spiciness in the dishes really brought out such a great flavor. Since my friend didn't eat as spicy, we found a happy medium getting just slightly spicy dishes which were all fantastic. We ordered the Khao Soi ($33) and Pla Tod Nam Pla ($40). The khao soi wasn't too spicy, especially since the broth has a creaminess and the spicies are on the side before mixing, which you can exclude. The chicken was so tender, but did come with bone so this can be trickier to share. Then the pla tod really surprised me, but I can definitely see why it's the best seller. It is a fried branzino with a marinated fish sauce which goes so nicely with all the crunch. There are a few remaining pieces of bone, so be careful. The fish had a nice balance of fish meat and crunchy skin. If you're looking for a unique Thai spot, this is it. Also, perfect spot for spicy lovers too. They also offer a huge selection of alcohol.

Wait staff was attentive to dietary needs, exemptions and ensured our request was followed to a T. Ordered some Khao Kriab Pak Mor (dumplings) to start along with a pair of mocktails. And an order of Khao Na Ped (smoked vegan duck) and Ginger Chicken (vegan). All served well with good portion. What I personally liked is the 2 dishes took a bit, not slow or long but IMHO taking a little bit always seems it was cared for in prep. Who knows just my thing. The staff has a challenge to accommodate outdoor seating as the bldg doesn't have an inside/back door for them and they must carry food out the front door, down the sidewalk and into the garden area. That's tough but they do it with grace. The seating was okay since it's early enough but bugs showed up - no surprise - not a complaint just the reality of life and online typing in case anyone is considering it and is more sensitive to the same.
