Pelican's Snoballs was a last minute choice for us as we were wasting time before returning to our hotel. It did not disappoint! The menu of options is massive! While I did wish the fireball syrup was a little more cinnamony, it's really personal preference and wouldn't keep me from going back again. I went to pelican snowballs to get some snowballs because they sounded really good. I didn't know what I was about to get myself into because it was delicious. This would've, could've and should've been 5 Stars...I'll explain why later. So honestly I never had any intention of ever visiting this place but it is less than a mile from my place and my girlfriend would never stop nagging me about it. So I caved and we went...and much to my surprise it was more than I expected. I was kind of expecting something like those hard snow cones you get as a kid in a few different flavors. I couldn't have been more wrong. When they say Snoball that is what they mean. These things are more the consistency of snow than any snow cone I've had. It is very finely shaved ice and actually is pleasant to eat. They have plenty of flavors and the 2 different ones I've had have been good. 2 things for the 5th star. 1 I would have some more recommendations for flavor combos as advice because there are over 100 flavors and then toppings you can add also. Another...the employees were nice enough but they never really asked to offer any help. I think asking if it's your first time and offering suggestions/advice would go a long way. All and all it was good and would definitely recommend as a way to end an evening or date night. read more

This is the shaved ice not crushed. The flavor was a bit weak and could have used more. Got the POG and dreamcicle. My wife the Tigerblood. Her was slightly better. I'd go again but only in the boiling heat of the day to cool off. I've been to Matsumoto shaved ice in Hawaii and this doesn't compare. read more

I stopped here for my teenage girls who just love shaved ice. Me, not much of a fan. They informed me that this place is the new hot spot for teens to hang out over the weekends. They have over 100 flavors of SnoCones available with about 8 bench style tables to sit on outside. Fantastic for a hot humid evening. They have their own private parking outside the shop which is always a good thing on Coleman. To me the flavor was fine, as I said not really a fan but the kids loved it. So I'm posting to let you all know it's a great spot for the young folk & a change from ice cream. read more

This place is hands down amazing. The service is fast, the ice is soft and melts quickly in your mouth, and the service is very fast. There are tables outside to sit at and the location is not that bad. They offer over 100 flavors which gives a great range of choice. After riding by everyday wondering how this place was I finally read some reviews. The west Ashley store had great reviews but Mt. Pleasant store did not only though there were just a couple of them. So after a beautiful walk on the Shen Creek pier we stopped in to give it a try. There were a lot of people there. The line fairly long but it moved very fast. The employees were quick and very nice and the sno-come was delicious. What a great treat! We got creamsicle flavor and tie peanut butter pup cups for the fur children. The loved it. Very great place to stop on a hot day! When I bring people, they are usually hesitant because they say they dont like snow cones, but it is totally different! And they always leave saying they wish they had stopped by sooner! So many flavors and toppings -- It's hard to decide which to choose! The employees are very nice, and they make the snoballs very quickly and well. There usually isn't much of a wait, but it depends on when you come in. Quickly realized why when I got to order and the cashier was joking around with another worker, and the girl making the shaved ice was dropping things everywhere. I love Pelican's but this location was extremely unprofessional. There were three teenagers it seemed working and there was a pretty large line. Once we got closer to the front we saw what the problem was. The young girl working the register (brunette) was too busy flirting and playing with the other boy working to actually take care of customers. She had to ask me three times what I ordered and what size it was. The line wasn't too thrilled either. They need an older mature figure in this location, obviously. read more
